If you need an emergency, care and fair price don't go there. I had my dog stuck with a round bone in his jaw, something simple for a vet. They wanted charge $1,200 for the service in a not break-down quote, after a two hours wait. We left …

They took great care of Boone on New Year's Eve, when two of the staples came out of his incision. He's all healed up now and no more cone! Everyone was very compassionate.

Oh how I wish I could leave a no star , please unless you have a pocket full of cash an plenty of time to waste don’t go here dr. Tarter let us kno that our male blue heeler was not going to make it that it was either a 8000 dollar surgery that was not gaurentee or necessary or we would have to put him down , told us we had to get him neutered to save him which was not the case nor necessary it also took 1500 just to get X-ray an spend 8 hours in the waiting room worried for nothing he got attacked bye coyotes an had wonds that needed cleaned an stitching an she refused to do it so we called advance animal care in Richmond ky an we took him there an it was a very affordable price an very friendly an careing staff an was less than 1000 so we have many thanks to them an zero tolerance for medvet this boy is our family we all love him dearly an didn’t want to go with medvets suggestion, so please don’t go to medvet if you need a vet go to Richmond ky to advance animal care

The staff here is so compassionate and caring. We had to say goodbye to our sweet baby girl and they went above and beyond for us. Dr. Johnson is so sweet and made us feel so at peace with our very hard decision. We couldn't have asked for a better place to take care of our girl in her final moments.

This place was absolutely amazing to us! Our poor baby girl coco who was 13 and Very sick unfortunately had to be put down. The staff was so kind to us and helped us through the whole process. After about a week of getting her ashes back the staff took the time to send us a card and they all had wrote a little message for us and singed it. To me that meant the most it showed how much they truly cared, they all included her name and told us how sweet she was the whole time! So thank you to everyone who helped try and save coco and thank you for being so kind to us

My dog ate some bathroom garbage... They took her right in and had her throw it up. The cost was reasonable compared to what I was expecting.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely horrific experience. The vet tech was more interested in playing with our SICK dog than communicating with us or taking care of our dog. The vet himself barely looked her over and wanted to order $1000 in tests, which we did not have the money for and they refused to let us set up a payment plan with them, and insisted we pay everything up front. On top of that, when we told them we will be taking her to her primary vet, they took over 45 minutes to discharge us. I have been to multiple Emergency Vets in my time and never received such poor care and not been able to set up a payment plan for things like this. Absolutely will NOT be going back.

Unfortunately we were here to have my dog put to sleep so not a "good experience" but MedVet was fantastic. They were caring and respectful and helped a really really bad day as much as possible. They explained everything so we knew what to expect and were as comforting as a funeral director would be for a human because they realize that our pets are family members.

My mom and I drove her new puppy to this clinic tonight. He had symptoms of parvo. We drove 78 miles in the middle of the night because all of our local 24hr vets were full. They took the little guy in. They tested him for parvo, which came back negative. They said his blood sugar was way too low. He hadn't been able to hold down solid food.. so yeah.. makes sense. We asked them if they had tried to get some puppy formula into him. They said they tried, but he refused it. They let him sit back in the back for over 2 hours with blood sugar below 25. They did not administer emergency treatment on him. As soon as his glucose didn't register, they should have started a glucose drip in an IV immediately. They did not. The previous owner of the puppy asked to have the puppy back so she could get formula in him before he laid back there and died. They brought us a "care plan" out for $6000. None of us could afford that. We told them no. The previous owner said she would treat him herself. They took another 30 minutes to get back to us with a bill so we could pay it. They did not bring the puppy back out until they had money in hand. Once the previous owner got back in the car, she loaded 3 syringes with puppy formula. He drank all 3 with no problems. This vet is a joke. They were going to let this little puppy, who was barely holding on, die, until we paid them the $6000+ that they were asking for.. for services they hadn't even rendered yet. That's not how emergency care works. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. You don't care about animals.. you care about the money. *UPDATE 12/20/21* The vet advised against giving him the formula because he could "aspirate" and die. He would have died regardless. We gave him the formula anyway. I am happy to say, the puppy is doing very well. He has regained all of his strength, is off the formula, eating solid food again, and playing with the other dogs. The puppy was in "critical" condition at the vet. He supposedly had a seizure while he was in the back of the vet even. Yet.. this little guy pulled through with $4 worth of formula and a little love. Once again.. this vet should be ashamed.

They Helped my Bobo dog in his time of need???????? he's been very sick for the past couple days and became extremely lethargic in a span of hours. They were the only vet available at the time he needed them. While we were there an elderly couple came in with their dog who was deathly ill... The staffing meet Lee jumped into action requesting permission to perform CPR for the poor dog. Very kind, and understanding staff.

The people that work here are very compassionate and they care. The take exceptional care of our babies. The veterinarian and the staff was very attentive and listened to everything we had to say. Thank you all for talking such care of Chakotay. A+ Rating for me.

Friendly staff, nice environment but costs quite a bit more where it's an emergency place for pets and still didn't get a diagnosis

Our first experience there was a positive one. Diagnosis, medication, instructions, and treatment options were explained clearly and concisely. We felt like the necessary time was taken with our dog to determine the issue and best course of action. The wait after the conversation with the vet and tech was a little lengthy with no explanation. Very pleased with our visit though.

They were very nice and affordable. They made me more at ease and prescribed medicines that soon made my dog feel better. Thanks MedVet.

They were horribly rude and had no sense of urgency at all.

Was attempting to amend a prior review to state that the cat they insisted would be dead without a $2200 transfusion nearly 3 years ago is still alive. Thankfully our vet showed us how to do fluid transfusions at home, Stay away if possible.

My cat had an emergency late Tuesday night and I was looking for an emergency vet to take her to. Medvet was the closest and would be able to see me the fastest, but they also wouldn't let me in to be with my cat. My cat is very anxious and doesn't do well when I'm not around her for vet appointments, so she was ferocious and violent to the staff since I wasn't present. Due to this, Medvet sent me away saying they wouldn't be able to see my cat. Medvet cares more about covid regulations than they care about the welfare of animals. This is extremely disappointing and I don't recommend anyone go here.

The entire staff was absolutely wonderful. We had to say goodbye to our fur baby and they let us spend as much time as we needed with him. We were informed and consulted every step of the way, and got to be with him when he passed. I am so grateful for the compassion and care they showed us.

My dog hurt her paw and I had to send my roomate with her while I was at work. MedVet worked with us and didn't do anything extra to get more money like some vets do.

Visited for the first time, when my 16 1/2 year old baby had to leave us. Very caring and compassionate. As bad as it hurt for my baby to leave us I was very appreciative they were there to help.

Unless it's an absolute emergency avoid this place. Their prices are predatory. In order to do a viral test to make sure she didn't have the contagious infection it was $250 before she even entered the door. Talk to the doctor? $150. When I was there waiting 3 and 1/2 hours to get my dog who had an upset stomach there was this lady screaming at them demanding a refund claiming that they tried to kill her cat. The police were called. Again, avoid this place.

These people overcharge 3 to 4 times what things actually cost!! Dr. Cotton is afraid of pits. They have very crappie customer service!! If you love your pets do not take them here. They do not care if your beloved pet dies. I saved mine no thanks to them. I had to take him home in pain.
