Friendly, Fast, Kind. They are also affordable and haven’t tried to upsell me anything. In fact, usually they encourage the more conservative approach.

Pet owners in Lex, beware of Gainesway Small Animal Clinic. They recommended euthanizing Callie for kidney failure. We had some doubts, and got a 2nd opinion from another reputable vet. They quickly found that Callie has been over-medicated for her cushings disease this last year. I always thought it was odd that Gainesway never confirmed her proper dosage, even when I specifically asked about it weeks ago, when she started feeling sick. They confidently dismissed my concern, and gave her a bunch more pills she really didn't need. The vet said that "if it were too much medication, she would be looking a lot worse". Here we are weeks later, and they recommended euthanizing, with no mention of checking her dosage. My new vet quickly looked at the blood work, said "wait a minute" and ordered the proper test. They completely dropped the ball on Callie, and I hate to think of how many other animals have had a similar experience with them. This was Callie on the way to the new vet yesterday. Didn't seem to me like a dog that's past the point of no return. I'm fully aware that with dog ownership comes the heavy responsibility to humanely euthanize as a last resort, when a dog is suffering. I'm just glad we trusted our gut, and it looks like Callie remains a fighter. Gainesway really let us down, and abused our trust. Seriously take your pets and money elsewhere. I know that we will.

Had a wonderful visit here! Dr. Vice was so caring, professional, and attentive to my questions and concerns. You can tell he really cares for his patients. The staff was all kind and courteous. My cat and I both felt comfortable there. Inexpensive as well, a fair price for excellent service. My cat and his sister definitely will be back.

This is my 2nd time taking my Yorkie-Poo to them for shots. He is 12 yrs old. He also had his teeth cleaned and 8 teeth pulled. The prices were very reasonable and they treated my baby well. We will be going back if he needs anything else. Thank you Gainesway staff!!

I used to love my experience at GSAC...Until I started referring clients to them recently. One pet died on operation table, other had wrong surgery preformed. I looked past it until I had a super negative experience my last time with Dr. McCord. I will be finding a new vet for our next trip. This saddens me because I have been seeing Dr. Vice for almost 20years! Fyi for those disappointed Dr. Nolty left, he is now at VCA in Woodford County.
