They were very kind and calm around my dog who I recently adopted and isn't socialized well. They were so professional, yet friendly and explained things so well. He had an eye issue and they went above and beyond to help me be able to take care of my new baby. I was referred by a different vet who was backed up all month and I'm so grateful I was. I would recommend them to anyone, and we will definitely be back for yearly check ups or if goodness forbid something else happened.

It was our first visit here and it was a very pleasant experience. All the staff and the doctor were awesome! I would recommend them highly!

They are very polite and professional. My girl was having some complications due to a pregnancy and they handled it so well and took very good care of my Sophie! Also very reasonably priced. Being on a fixed income it was very nice knowing it wasn't going to hurt to bad money wise. 11/10 most definitely recommend!

Took my pregnant dog here for 2 days in a row told them she was in labor they send us home our 3rd visit I almosy told my baby and her litter bc she had been in labor for 2 whole days which is why I took her then refused to release her and her litter to me after they had to do a emergency c section then I couldn't take her home if I didn't have her fixed spend over 1800 will not ever go back

I love Companion for the care of my babies! Everytime I need to make an appointment they are so accommodating for me and my two pups. They are honest and upfront and I love the fact that Dr. Caldwell always takes the time to go over the visit and answer any questions I have and I never feel rushed! They love my fur babies as if they were their own. We are so happy to have found such great care in TN! ????????

Amazing staff! Amazing care! Got a same day appointment for my senior dog. The care, compassion and understanding of the staff was brilliant! Prices were reasonable. The doctor explained everything clearly and provided a care "report card" to take home. Can't speak highly enough about this practice! Bring your pets here!

Called them without a appointment 30min later in and out in no time and you can sit in waiting room not in your vehicle in the parking lot like some vets will be back

A little pricey but the level of care is great.

Adopted a new puppy who had a bad case of worms. The earliest appt my regular vet of 20+ yrs could give me was 3 weeks later. I couldn't let the puppy suffer with worms that long and decided to look around and found Companion Animal Hospital. They saw my pup the same day i called. Then they called the next day to check on him. That was 1.5 yrs ago and every visit has been pleasant and informative. The Dr. and staff are good with my dogs, the facility is clean, and wait times are reasonable.

We LOVE this vet!! We would give them 10 stars if we could. We have been going for a little over a year now and they have been so helpful every time. One of our kitties has many health issues but they take such good care of him. Every time we show up- we feel so loved and welcome. The vet explains everything so well to you and they ask you before doing anything costly with your pet. You are always sure of what you’ll pay when you go. They keep you updated and really take such good care of our pets. If you’re looking for a reliable, compassionate, and loving vet- this is your place!

These vets are the best in town. They treat my dogs like they are their own. I will not take my kids anywhere else.

They went above and beyond to take care of my kitty they stayed later for us

We dropped off our cat early in the a.m. They discovered he had aciuple of loose teeth, so they pulled them. The cat came home that afternoon much happier. The Dr gave us a good recap of what was done and what we needed to do.

They were simply amazing. We just moved from Illinois last month and I was nervous that we wouldn't find a vet for our fur babies that we would trust as much as our old vet, however they meet the task!!! Everyone was so friendly and kind. We did not seem rushed and all of our concerns and questions were addressed with kindness. We loved everything about Companion. A huge thank you to Dr. Caldwell and all of the staff.

They have ALWAYS fit me in when I needed them most. When my dog started coughing over night they fit me in the next day as a new patient. When I suspected his pneumonia was coming back they fit me in that same day. They have a track record of helping my animals when they needed it most and they always send out a text a few days after their appointments to check-in. I really appreciate their responsiveness and would recommend them to anybody in the area.

Dr Caldwell and staff are absolutely amazing! They take such great care of my fur baby and have been able to treat his allergies when his last vet failed him. Since the lobby is restricted due to the plague, she will call and verify any treatment before proceeding. He has been sick a few times since we’ve started coming here, and every time he is able to be seen quickly, treated appropriately, and sent home much better. I truly appreciate this place and the care they give my precious boy!

Great vet, bad covid policies. Currently they are operating as a closed office with the expectation that you let your animal be taken in alone. Others might be ok with this, I am not. I do not spend hundreds of dollars at a go for a drive through vet experience. In particular, I have a new puppy and it is her first visit. I made an appointment and it was never mentioned to me that they were not allowing customers to enter the building. I showed up with a mask and cash in my wallet to pay for my visit as I know credit card fees make running a small business difficult. It was my second visit there having brought my older dog around the early stages of the pandemic and the office was open then with masks of course. I was very pleased with the experience at that time. However, after this last time, I felt like my time was wasted. I completely understand a restricted waiting room. As a specific example I went back to my former vet in Corryton off Tazwell Pike and they have what I consider to be a reasonable policy regarding covid. Customers wait in their vehicle until an exam room is available and then 1 person is allowed in with their dog. My dogs are my family and I am not handing my adult dog over to a complete stranger nonetheless a young puppy having her first appt. You lost me as a customer for life based solely on that. But wait there's more! I have been getting email solicitations for months to buy more heartgard and nexgaurd for my dog from their website. I am within my right as a consumer to buy such medicine if my dog has been seen in the last 12 months, so I attempted to spend over $200 on their website and the vet denied it saying I would have to bring my dog back in. Again, these are not huge issues. Simply poor management and planning. However, I am a professional and my time is valuable. I can't take time off work and drive to your place of business only to have my time wasted by your cowardly policy. Best of luck in your practice, you seem like an awesome vet but you do not know how to run a business and keep customers. At the very least you need to make sure your phone staff is giving your customers all the facts and you need to fix your website or disclose your policies. Don't spam my email to spend more money with you and then deny the sale so you can generate more appointment revenue.

The folx at Companion Animal Hospital are like family for our pets. They are non-judgemental and accommodating of budget and scheduling needs. They have shown their love for all of our animals and supported us tenderly when it was time to say goodbye to a beloved dog.

I was so disappointed because this clinic has such great reviews. I was charged for tests I did not approve and the staff was insanely rude (other than one really nice guy). My mind was truly blown by the lack of customer consideration. Maybe I came on a bad day but I will never recommend this place to anyone.

my dog was acting odd so i took him to companion to get him looked at.. they said he swallowed plastic and gave me medicine to give to him.. they said if i gave him the medicine then he would be fine. i gave him what they told me to give him and i woke up the next morning and my boy was dead in his cage. i do not recommend this animal hospital at all.. i called them the day of his death and asked what happened, they said he would be fine and he wasn’t.. all they could say was i’m sorry for your loss.. i definitely would NOT take your pet here.

Loved the attention cat got and the time they took to diagnose her issues and treat them. I felt like she was their first priority.
