This is the go to place for small animals and exotics in BG. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. I wouldn't take my rats & guinea pigs to anyone else!!

Would give 0 stars if that was an option. Rude staff who do not take responsibility for their mistakes. I also want to preface that I do not want a response from the company because everything I needed to know came from my experience. On 2/22/21 I took my dog in for a simple stitch up above her eye- was told it would take 1hr at max. After almost 2 hrs and the vet approaching their closing time we had heard not one thing from them so, we decided to go unannounced and pick her up. As we were pulling into the parking lot we called to tell the vet we were there to pick up our girl and to our surprise she was dead. There was no real answer until we received a necropsy. Her lungs were collapsed and her liver was lacerated causing her to bleed into her stomach which according to the necropsy findings was ultimately what’s she died from. Dr. Marcus placed her under anesthesia and apparently on the last stitch she bottomed out. No underlying health issues were found so in my opinion she was given too much anesthesia or they were not monitoring her while conducting a 10-15 min procedure. We were given time with her and I noticed her body was stiff and tongue was blue so she had been dead for a little longer than they claimed. Fast forward, we were told we would not have to pay for anything due to the “inconvenience” we experienced and still ended up paying $300+ I do believe. There’s more to this story but this is all that I can really bear to explain at the moment.

We have taken our dog here for almost 7 years, seeing 5 different drs. We have had positive experiences with all of them. They are very sweet with our dog, thorough, & answer all of our questions. We will continue with them as long as we have pets.

We live about 2 1/2 hours away, in Corbin, and this was the only place out of about 17 phone calls that answered yes when we needed urgent help, because our poor old ferret Ali started having seizures. They really helped him as much as they could for what ended up being his final day, keeping him warm and his blood sugar up, helping to stop or lessen the seizures, checking in on him through the night, just all around very sweet and professional. They even let us hold him and have time to say goodbye. Unfortunately, we didn't think to get a name, but the one on our paper work says Sarah Fredrick, D.V.M. Thank you guys for making a really hard time a little easier.

Wow!!!!! I don’t even know where to begin! We live south of Nashville and I called EVERYWHERE- from Alabama, to Georgia, then Kentucky looking for someplace to have my sugar glider neutered. I’d say “Hello- do you see sugar gliders?”……the response “Um I think so…” was a dead give away I wasn’t taking my little guy there. BUT when I called All Creatures- it was an immediate Yes we do. I was sold! We drove up the night before and dropped him off at 7, they immediately put me at ease! The staff is amazing, the place just has something about it that makes you relaxed. Knowing that we were driving back down to TN they did Nash first- he was good to go 2 hours later. We went to pick him up- they had trimmed his nails (if you don’t have a sugar glider- it’s the nail trim equivalent of herding squirrels) had pre portioned his medication in tiny syringes- so convenient) and took the time to make sure we understood all post operative instructions, and answered any questions we had. I can honestly say it is worth it for me to make the drive for any of my pets in the future. They have a client for life

I am so thankful for All Creatures! I have rats, which are considered exotic pets- finding a vet for them in BG was a struggle until I was referred to All Creatures! From the first phone call, I felt like they truly cared about my rats as much as I did. They neutered our two youngest boys and Dr. McGrath even took the time to call me in-between the procedures to let me know how things were going. The staff here goes above and beyond to make sure you and your pets feel well taken care of and loved. I can't say enough good things about them!

All Creatures was highly recommended to me by a friend who has taken her pets to Dr. Pat since the practice opened. My first couple of visits were for routine exams and vaccinations and I was impressed with the professionalism, friendly welcome and the kind way Dr. Pat and Dr. Sarah treated my dogs. So when my 14 wk. old Great Dane puppy became very ill suddenly I took her to All Creatures. Her two parvo tests came back negative and the vet sent me home with some pro-biotic paste and some worm medicine. My pup kept passing bloody, soupy stool and vomiting all through the night and was extremely weak. I took her in first thing Sat morning and had the gross misfortune to see Dr. Rachel Profitt Had I not insisted on X-rays and a sonogram, Dr. Rachel would have summarily sent my pup home for "observation" because she had no idea what was wrong. Even after reviewing the sonogram, Dr. Rachel had no idea what was going on with my now extremely weak puppy. Dr. Rachel was cold and condescending in her manner toward me, seemed totally unconcerned about my pup and summarily sent me off to the ER Clinic in Nashville. I took my now extremely weak and unresponsive pup to Nashville where the vet saw her immediately, gave her IV glucose and antibiotics and repeated the x-rays and sonogram. The sonogram was almost identical to the sonogram Dr. Rachel took at All Creatures and had no idea what she was looking at. The Nashville vet knew immediately what was wrong - my pup had a parasite bolus which had blocked her intestines, causing them to telegraph into themselves and creating a rupture in the intestinal wall. My pup's intestinal contents were leaking into her abdominal cavity and my pup was septic. The only solution was surgery to repair the rupture but by this time my pup was too weak to survive the surgery and I had to put her down. I have been told since that this is not an uncommon situation in puppies and Dr. Rachel, who supposedly has been practicing for 10+ years should have been able to diagnose this problem and advise me accordingly. I would have chosen to humanely euthanize my pup rather than drive to Nashville and put her through another 4 hours of pain and a slow death. When I called the following Monday to lodge a complaint against Dr. Rachel and explain what happened, I received a vague response that Dr. Pat would look into the matter. Dr. Pat's solution was to "fire" me as a client and refuse to treat my other pets. Dr. Rachel is still on staff there, incompetent and uncaring as ever. I believe that the other vets at All Creatures are competent, compassionate professionals. Dr. Rachel is not. That Dr. Pat chose to "fire" me rather than address the situation with Dr. Rachel, who has received other complaints, is very telling in my opinion. If you decide to use this clinic, be sure to avoid Dr. Rachel if you love your pets.

They went above and beyond to try to save my baby dragon. She ended up passing and they put her lovingly in a beautiful box, a sympathy card that every one signed, and her handprints and tailprints on clay. They were so respectful and empathetic! They absolutely care and go the extra mile!

My dog needed immediate care and they said they were booked for 2 weeks. I'm sure they could have worked him in.

I’ve been taking my dog here for the past 4 years and today was the final straw. They tack on and do unnecessary exams WITHOUT asking you prior. Every time I get the bill its always a surprise. Went for vaccinations and a flea collar, came out with 2 irrelevant exams (without asking me). They did the same to my parents when they took their dog there and they’ll do it to you. WATCH OUT!

Trusting them with my fur babies is about the biggest compliment I can give! All 4 of my kiddos go here and I wouldn't have it any other way! I appreciate everything they've done for us, every question they answer, every emergency we come across even during every financial situation...I can't say enough good things!

Today they saved my baby rabbit life, I'm so grateful and thankful for the doctor Dr Sarah and the staff for taking care of my rabbit everybody where clearly communicating with me and updating me about her condition she was very sick and in so much pain and when I picked her up she looked a lot better healthier and happy. I highly recommend this clinic they can see not just cats and dogs but other exotic animals. Also their price was fair not extremely expensive with the service they provide and saving animals lives I would pay them thousands but it did not cost me that much to save my rabbit's life and I'm so grateful again for them.

Our go to vet for all our fur babies. They've taken care of us through every step of any stage of our pets. From early years, to preventative, to helping them cross the rainbow bridge. They were even amazing when they helped us go through the extremely extensive quarantine process to move our pets to Hawaii. And even before covid, I had to bring my dogs for shots and I had my toddler and they came out to my car to help me. And with covid they take care of all the steps. It's just so nice to have a vet that can take care with their care.
