Skaer Veterinary Clinic Wichita, Kansas

All of the ladies here are great! Pricey like others have mentioned. Would recommend getting prescriptions from Chewy though, one of the prescriptions I purchased at the clinic was almost twice the price! ????

Their compassion while we had to say goodbye to our baby was wonderful.

My former vet retired so I decided to come here, as I wasn't happy with Indian Hills. I have brought all of my pets here, and I can say I am more than satisfied with the care they have received. They are more than willing to take extended amounts of time to go over care options and discuss your pet with you. They are happy to explain things to you, even if it's a silly question. I also have to say that as a cat owner, it always felt like vets in Wichita didn't like cats. At Skaer it's a completely different story, they have methods to try to help cats feel safer at the vet. The vets, nurses, and other staff all seem to genuinely love animals and think of their own pets when offering care and advice. While the prices are high compared to my old vet, I can't say that it's not worth it for the quality. I know that my fur babies are in good hands.

Quite expensive for the scope of veterinary care received, otherwise a quality place. Paid 500 for a general checkup and some flea medicine I could've bought online for 50-100. However, the people are nice, and care about the animals coming in and out. The vets know what they're doing, too. Altogether positive experience, minus the price.

Skaer veterinary clinic is one of the Best bets in town if not the best. We have literally grown up with Skaer as we have been using their services for 30 years or more. Scare veterinary clinic is very honest and straightforward with you and always willing to work with you in service of your pet and your needs as well. Great people my great businesses

Other than the fact that I had to wait a lot. It was a very good place. My dog loves it there,too. He's never scared or anxious.

Excellent customer service, but when i had recieved my pet back his hair was matted and his nails were awfully cut. Good for emergencies but i am currently unsure about long term care.

Would have given 5 stars but they will not okay online prescriptions and want you to come in for one.

Uncaring & unwilling to help a dog in need of supplies for the weekend. Disappointed!!!

Dr Covington is amazing! Our dog has a fairly rare issue and was just getting worse and worse. We were preparing for the worst, but the regimen Skaer and Beth came up with have provided us with more time with our sweet girl and given our dog a better quality of life.

They're kind and caring, but they're also honest. They give the best care and love, and they tell you all the options, choices and the cost then let you decide what's best for your pet.

They treat my girl like one of their own family!

There was no opinion I sit outside they brought me an application they said they could not let anybody in because of cova 19 so I took my application left

My two pups can be a handful sometime but these guys just show them nothing but love. They are very professional and help out where the can!

Dr Skaer & Dr Covington give you their time and full attention - we never feel rushed during appointments, and all of our concerns & questions are addressed. They are compassionate and driven to find answers, and work closely with VESH & K-State/specialists when necessary. Drs and vet clinic staff always follow up whether it's via phone calls or e-mails. The level of care and communication from both Drs and vet clinic staff are incomparable. Highly recommended - will never take my kids anywhere else.

They were absolutely amazing. Very quick and friendly. My little puppers loved them and they loved him. Unfortunately, we are moving so we won't be able to go back.

We just started taking our cat and two dogs here in mid-2020 and we've been so happy with them. Everyone who works there is so kind and they are great with my big, anxious dogs. They set *me* at ease, which goes a long way toward setting my dogs at ease, I think. They also seem really thorough and like they do great work. We've only been in for annual well visits and vaccines so far but we really look forward to continuing with them

We all know how expensive dog boarding in Wichita can be — how about when you add in administering medication and surgeon-prescribed physical therapy? We were very happy with what Skaer Vet charged us recently when we needed to board Ozzie after a knee surgery. And most importantly we didn’t have to worry because we could trust that he was getting the care we knew he needed and being watched in case something developed that we didn’t know he needed. Thanks to the Skaer team! UPDATE 2020: Since I can't leave a new review I will update this one. We've taken our dog twice to Skaer during the 2020 pandemic for wellness appointments and vaccines. The team is taking precautions to keep their staff and pet owners safe - it's an organized curbside process, great communication and the doctor takes the time to come out to your vehicle after the exam. I hope everyone doing business with them will respect their health/safety/comfort and wear your masks when the team comes out to your vehicle. We are thankful the Skaer Vet team is there for our pets!
