When I moved from another state I was terrified that I would never find a vet as good as my former one. Northrock proved me wrong and I am so blessed to have found this practice! Everyone is so kind and Dr. Unruh is phenomenal. I know that my fur babies are well taken care of and I will refer everyone I know here.

I am grateful for the tenderness shown Skitty, my beautiful cat of 21 years, by two of the staff when putting her to sleep. North rock was not vet I spent weeks trying to improve Skits condition. It just got worse. They were the ones to mercifully aid in ending her suffering while Skits's vet was unavailable due to out on vacation. I could not stand to hear her pitiful yowling the night before and helpless to do anything to help her. They were tender and loving during the process. Still, I'm devastated by her loss. While I declined preserving her ashes, I would like the staff to know that I will be preserving Skitty's memories by blowing up a favorite photo and having it framed. I want to remember her in life and not her death. Thank you ladies. I was barely able to contain myself to thank you properly.

We recently (by recently I mean a couple of days) moved here with our fur baby. We had been waiting for our house to close so we had been staying with our son in OK. Our baby had been acting differently so initially took him to a vet there. They gave him antibiotics and when we moved here he was still acting slow, sleeping all the time, etc. We called Northrock and they got him in the next day. Our fur baby was blessed to see Dr Unruh. Dr Unruh was very thorough. She took many samples from bumps he had to taking X-rays of his chest and abdomen. Even though the news was not what we wanted to hear and we had to put our baby down, she found the cause so our baby is not in pain any longer. I would recommend this clinic to anyone that asked. I just wish we had Dr Unruh when we lived in AR. Maybe then we could have caught it in time.

I have been going here almost 3 years and they have treated my cat, myself, my friends, and my fiance with nothing but love and respect. After appointments, the vet will call after a few days or so to check in. They let me ask as many questions as I want and are nice and patient. The prices here are also one of the best I've ever seen at a vet's office. Over all, I truly appreciate this place for going above and beyond on every visit. ????

Has always taken good care of our animals. A few things weren't perfect. But we won't be changing gets due to these things.

Twice now I’ve brought my dog in for doc visits. Then get stuck with a $300-$400 bill each time. Feels like they really take advantage of caring pet owners by hitting them with steep bills after coming to see them. They never even figure what the issue is, just tell me that they want to treat the symptoms. Won’t be returning.

Our vet could not get my 12 year old chihuahua in for four days. She was limping. Northrock got her in within hours and checked her out thoroughly. Gave her treatment with good instructions and she was immediately better. We've switched all three of our loves to them.

Our cat (and we!) received excellent care at Northrock Hospital for Animals. Dr. Rypma’s understanding of cats, their habits, their personalities, is unmatched. It makes a huge difference in dealing with a stressed kitty on vet day. She helped us diagnose what was—and wasn’t—wrong with our boy. A dental procedure was needed, thus anesthesia and a day in their care. High marks to the whole staff here for their outstanding listening skills, compassionate and patient care of their fur-patients and fur-parents. Communication on the day of the procedure was outstanding and I appreciated the conversations with Dr. Rypma directly. Vet bills are never cheap but we feel we received the highest level of care here.

With it being my fur baby's first time here, I was very impressed with how gentle they were with her. Her life has been turned upside down as I just moved here from Florida. This is my new vet!!

Had to take my labrador retriever (Jayda) here last week for a leg issue, my dog is very high energy and the vet techs did absolutely wonderful with her! The vet called me and gave me some medication to send her home with to see if she improves over the next few days and she is now walking on her leg????

We have been clients of Northrock for years and would not trust our animals to anyone else; personal and caring service; they are our friends

very predatory business practices. wont tell you the cost of the services before they do them. they slapped us with a $500 bill for an x-ray and didn’t even figure out what was wrong with our cat. very inflexible. don’t offer a payment plan or even pretend to care about you or your pet. will never return and would recommend others shop around before using them.

I have been bringing my fur baby to Northrock Hospital For Animals for over a year now, and I have never been disappointed. They are always so kind and caring when we come in. I recently adopted another fur baby and she was welcomed with as much love as my first fur baby.

Deceived! Quoted $350-$450=paid $720 -changed prices after quote -Dr. Rypma lied and changed her story after surgery -quote in phone underestimated drasctically Full story: Called asked for estimate for dental cleaning -was told $350 to $450 and they also take $40 off for February special and $58.50 for pre exam. Below is picture of real estimate and total cost. ($384.50 to $517.12) ***They take the $58.50 off the bill, but it's already been payed, so just a deceiving way to make you think you are getting a deal. After preclinical exam, they gave me estimate and stated there would be extra if he needed any extractions. I asked if Dr. Rypma if she thought he would need and and she stated she would have to wait until the x-ray. The day of my dog had 12 extractions. I asked Dr. Rympa how his teeth were that bad. That's when she was finally honest and told me during his pre-exam he had several loose teeth, and with the plaque and other signs she knew he needed several to be removed (though he did have some abscesses that could only be seen on x-ray). But a crown was missing on one and this should have been easily visible. Then when I went to pay they told me the wrong price and added more (due to previous $12 care package not payed for). Not sure how they can just keep nickel and diming people. Anyways, the bill shows $661.70 but I already paid them another $58.50, so really I paid them a total of $720.20 (and that's without the $98 suggested blood screen) Without the $40 Feb discount and $98 blood screen (mandatory for dogs 7 years and older) it would have been over $860. This is astronomical. Go somewhere else. I should've went to my local vet in Minnesota as this procedure would have been $300 plus $10 per tooth. Never thought they'd basically double their estimate or that theyd take such advantage of a student who loves his dog ????????????

Northrock is a fantastic place to take your pets for all of their medical needs. The office staff and vet techs are very kind and friendly. Dr. Rympa is top notch and I couldn't find a better, kinder, loving vet to care for my pets. She has been with my family from kittens to seniors and I couldn't recommend anyone else more.

They where busy but still took the time to help my dog and kept me informed of options with care. And the cost wasn't as bad for emergency service.

I'm so appreciative for the care Dr. Weidler and staff are showing for the pets, patients and staff. Thank you for the extra precautions you have implemented. Dr. Weidler is always quick to respond to his clients' needs and is very caring. Highly recommended.

I had a great experience here. I took my dog to VESH because he had fairly bad swelling on his muzzle. It turned out to be an abscess under one of his teeth. The emergency vet didn’t have any oral surgery openings for 3 weeks. The regular vet I was seeing at the time also had no openings for about 2 weeks. I was recommended to north rock by VESH because of the situation. I called first thing in the morning and they fit him in immediately! So happy with them they did me and my baby a huge favor with their urgency. I ended up taking my other dog in a week or two later to do a teeth cleaning as well. Great experiences both times. Plus I don’t think it’s was crazy expensive either. Not low end necessarily but for the care you receive its amazing.

We love Northrock Hospital for Animals because they take amazing care of our dog - who has become the center of our children's universe since COVID began. We were so thrilled to find that when you arrive you just have to call and they come out to get your pet, take him in, call for payment and return him happy and healthy. For a person who is extremely allergic to most animals and went with a hypoallergenic mixed breed, this was something I wish was available covid or no covid. It was about 95 that day too! So who wants to get in and out of the car anyway? Thank you for caring for our pets and our community!!!
