Very friendly and thankful for the resq because they saved our fur baby Remington ???? We lost our fur baby Rokko and felt compelled to save another. Not to replace but to help save a fur baby and help fill the void of our very painful loss.. They gave us our space and let us have sometime with him.

The staff were nice and friendly! The place was clean, and the animals were well cared for! If you look online, you can see the animal's, and submit your application online. Then, it is quick and easier, when you go in to meet the pet!

This is a very good place to adopt a furbaby. We jst adopted our dauschand Pepper from there and she’s the sweetest. She fits right into our furbaby family . She’s spoiled already and very loved. And the workers are very nice

I recently adopted my first kitten at Midwest Animal ResQ. Staff is excellent and friendly. I came in not knowing anything about cats, and walked out completely comfortable. Adoption fees were low, and the benefits (shots, spaying, medicine) are spectacular. Luna, the cat, has been staying with me for about 2 months now. She's had no issues settling in. I could tell that this shelter took care of her and kept her happy, which is what matters the most. I will be referring future pet owners here.

Recently adopted a young cat here.I couldn't be more happy with her. Jasmine is a wonderful , caring person. She fostered my kitty and I greatly appreciate people that do this. I will definitely adopt through them again!

I agree there may be some good experiences but to read a lot of the bad reviews and take into consideration. Awful communication and stories don't line up. Pretty frustrating.

We went to visit and adopted a Great Dane. The facility was great, the animals all looked cared for, and the staff was very knowledgeable, and had intimate knowledge of the dogs that were there. It was a great experience and would recommend them as the place to adopt a dog

The staff works hard at making sure you have the perfect match for you. We have had Oakley for 3 months and he is an awesome dog, needed lots of love and reassurance.

At first everything was phenomenal- Jana (I believe was her name) helped tremendously with answering my questions about this dog we had had our eye on for weeks. Two families were scheduled to meet her before us, both of which we were told were likely to adopt her. Both of them didn’t, and finally we (and our dog) had the chance to meet her. We knew she had ripped her stitches after getting spayed, so we understood that it wasn’t the best time for the dogs to meet (although we were told to bring our dog); but we were set on adopting her as each dog had non aggressive personalities. Erin Morse, the owner, explained that she would be in contact with us midweek to let us know how the dog was, and to set up a meeting between both dogs at the end of the week when she was healed. With our case, she PROMISED that no one would adopt her out from under us and that she would let the entire staff know what was going on. We were pumped! We got all geared up to have a new member of the family, researched how to maintain a healthy lifestyle for the breeds she was, etc. By Wednesday, we still heard nothing from Erin, so Thursday I contacted Jasmine, the Foster Manager, to set up a meeting for Friday when the dog was due to be ready. Soon I get some texts from Erin, curtly answering questions. She sounded like she was not in communication with her employees. They told me she was on the Science Diet and a sore in her mouth would be checked out. Erin said she never ate that, and there was no sore. By the end of the night, I get an email saying the dog was adopted, so I contact both Erin and Jasmine. A few hours before we were supposed to adopt her, Jasmine texts us the attached screenshot, and we never hear from Erin- not even an apology. Overall, we thought this was absolutely horrid on Erin’s part, as she allowed a random walk-in to adopt her- she wouldn’t let us do that early, even with an application. We were in disbelief that the employees were more apt to care about the dog’s wellbeing too- more apt to not deny potential health concerns, and knew way more about the dog’s behavior. Erin’s actions as an owner were unbecoming and trashy, but luckily we found Critterhouse KC. They, on the other hand, helped tremendously.

This is a fantastic resource in Raytown. Countless lost pets have been reunited with their families because of their efforts. Countless more have found new forever homes. If you are thinking about adding a pet to your household please check them out.

This is a great place to get a pet! I filled out an online application for a dog that was in foster care through this place. We coordinated to see the dog the next day. It was clean, our visit was quick and easy, and we left with a new pup. So much better than going to a shelter and seeing whatever dogs they have that somebody doesn’t already have a hold on. Highly recommend!

We added a new member to our home! After a month of looking, we can acrossed Draco on their website. We called and was able to get in and see him the same day. We knew instantly we wantedd to take him home. The adoption process was super easy and the staff was amazing. We are so happy to have him in the family!

Another terrible experience with shelters. We had made a time to meet and reached out to them and did not receive a response. Then upon showing up when said, they played with our emotions by letting us see the dog for a while but then taking it away because they “forgot to confirm our appointment” and “forgot to respond to us” before adopting it to another family after waiting an hour. It just continues to show me that employees and volunteers at shelters do not have the people in their best interest and that their communication continues to fail and be poor.

Erin is an angel! When she saved my girls she saved me The little one has saved my life 3 times alerting me to dangerously low blodd sugar in the middle of the night. They keep me calm during medical procedures and multiple hospital stays. They were meant to be companions but they have become so much more. I know they will rescue an animal in the middle of the night. They help shut-down horror puppy mills. There are not enough accolades to say about this place. PLEASE if you are thinking about getting a furbaby DO NOT BUY A PET AT A STORE. Let these incredible people help match you with your perfect companion.

I talked to Jessica about 2 cats I was interested in She said one was being sprayed as we spoke. So I made appt. for next day at 10.I was greeted by a black haired girl wanting to know why I was there. She asked if U had an Ppt. Then went to computer & said zi didn't & another lady was coming that had appt. Also the kittens wete not even there She said they were being fostered. So why would Jessica say exactly opposite I drove 59 mu excited to get a kitten after long search. The girl never said she was sorry. She made me feel & I was crazy . I finally told her U wasn't going to argue any more because it was going no where She even called Jessica & she lied about me coming I was so upset after the long drive & the rude unprofessional behavior. Never go there
