Can't make appointments so u have to wait forever. My dog ended up having to get surgery on her teeth and vet said nothing last time I brought her in for a check up they could have told me things before she needed it.

I'm very thankful to these guys. I was freaking out over something that ended up being mild and my normal vet wasn't available until later in the day. They got me in as soon as they could, were all very kind, and kept complimenting my poor scared kitty. Treatment went well and pricing was on par with similar treatments I've had to have done for my babies. Would recommend!

On September the 13th 2021, my Chihuahua was hacking profusely so I walked her in to Bannister Vet for treatment. I was prescribed two injections one was Cerenia and the other was Convenia. These two injections along with office visit cost a total of $172.25 I was given no diagnosis and was told if this did not work my pet may need X-rays. My pet hacked the entire night. The next day I took her back and received an X-ray which totaled $195.00. I also received a dosage of the same medication in pill form that did not work on last visit(Cerenia). The grand total of this office visit was $223.50. As we went over X-rays,the doctor said the Liver was enlarged and there were some irregular shapes inside the stomach. After my appointment, I received an estimate of $670.00 for Ultrasound and TBF07 Total Body Function. I spent $395.75 with no diagnosis only devastating news about my dogs enlarged liver. I had another appointment that evening with Blue Springs Animal Hospital at 5pm. My Veterinarian diagnosed my dog within 15 minutes with upper respiratory infection and the total cost was just $85.00. I had my Veterinarian to review my X-Rays and she said there is nothing wrong with my pet’s X-rays.

When other doctors misdiagnosed my cat, Dr. Mulloy was there to find that he had a rare fungal infection in his lungs and consulted experts to make sure he got the exact treatment he needed. It might not be the fanciest office, but they go above and beyond to take care of your pets.

This vet is the very best in Kansas city. Very reasonable prices, very caring vets, and also honest with your pets and their health. They give your pets all the love they deserve. Plus, they take Care Credit!! Always a huge bonus!

I've been using Bannister Veterinary for over 25 years. Everyone there truly cares about the animals brought in and their humans that bring them. If a pet is ill, they take all steps (plus some) to make them well. At the loss of a pet, their empathy, kindness and understanding is so comforting. I can't imagine taking my pets to anyone else.

I love that they do first come, first serve. The staff is always nice and always willing to help you in any way that they can. The receptionist is also so sweet, she knows my name by heart and always asks how all my little babies are.

This place saved my baby. We were quoted at an emergency vet for 1800 (as a deposit that would go towards a bill estimated between 3-4 grand). We were devastated but my dad told me to call Bannister Vet. They gave us everything we need to take care of our baby at home since hosiptilaztion was out of our price range. For 600 dollars!! Lord knows I'd pay anything to save my baby if I had it, but Bannister Vet is reasonably priced. They ask about him now and I can tell they really care for him like I do. I will always go here

The only veterinary service we have used for 20+ years. The entire staff is personable, professional and extremely competent. You might see something bigger, newer and shinier but you would be making a mistake to pass by. Buddy and Apple agree!
