If the value of care matter to you. This isn't the place. Our dog fell and x-rayed a minor fracture. They recommended full hip replacement with pins etc..estimate 10-$12,000. I took her home and loved her for a week and she was running and playing without any of their "services". Be careful they will prey on your heart at this place. We love our dogs, and they exploit that love. I wonder what the owners villa is like in Monaco. I am sure it is impressive.

Sick dog. Showed up for my appointment at Banfield Pet Hospital 30 minutes early, checked in, provided paper copies of my dog’s medical records, waited until my appointment. 15 minutes later, a staff member comes out to let me know their internet is down, so they cannot see my sick dog this morning. There you have it, a vet that will not look at a sick dog in pain because his or her internet is down, and they are more worried about getting paid than the dog. Went to my car, prayed to God, and then asked Siri for directions to the nearest vet. Hawthorne Animal Hospital answered immediately, took some basic info, and told me they would make it work, just drop Mordecai off. Thank God for this place!

Always try to make my doggies feel as safe as possible, and let me know when something isn't necessary. Love them!

Caring staff and great service.

The staff at Hawthorne is AMAZING! Our Spartacus was stung/bitten by some heinous critter and he swelled up, turned red and was miserable. We called and they said that we should bring him over and drop him off for a bit. I didn't even make it home when Dr. Bauer called saying they gave him some meds and wanted to watch him for a couple of hours. A couple of hours later I went and picked him up and he still had hives but looked SO much better. Two days later he was still milking it for all the attention but was 100% better, no redness, no hives! Thanks to Jenna, Diana, June, Morgan, Tyler and Dr. Bauer!!

We love Hawthorne Animal Hospital and been going there for years. They are so sweet with our fur babies and staff is wonderful especially our Diana ♥️

Just started using them and staff is all super friendly and adapting their services for the pandemic very well. Enjoy them alot, so far so good!!

If you have a new puppy, do not take it here. I wouldn’t overall, but especially if you have a new puppy. They gave mine a vaccine “they require” the first time there before testing her for worms, ect., which she had a bad case of and the combo almost killed her. There is a particular female vet assistant that was very condescending and talks down to you and I see she is still there. She told me after I brought my puppy back because she was so sick that she thought my puppy likely had parvo (which she didn’t), and thats why she was so sick. It was truly traumatizing. Luckily I was able to nurse her back to health and take her to the animal hospital I should’ve in the first place who are amazing and gave her the correct meds needed to make her healthy after nursing her back to health from this place’s malpractice. My dog is 2 years old now and perfectly healthy. It took me awhile to post this, but I wanted to warn anyone thinking about brining a new puppy there.

The doctors and staff at Hawthorne offer wonderful, thorough, educated & thoughtful care. I trust them and sincerely recommend them to anyone who has a beloved pet. I’ll never forget the care they gave our sweet 15 year old girl when it was time to say goodbye several years ago, the care they offer my now 16 year old cat (who’s been their patient his whole life) as well as our 1 year old frenchie who they’ve also seen since he was 8 weeks. They are the best!

They are the best vet for our pets, and we consider them all as family.

We received your card a couple days ago. Just want to thank you for squeezing our beloved Teddy in last Friday. It was a very difficult day, full of emotion, and we all agreed our next best buddy will be going to your veterinarian care from day one. Thanks again, Mark, Carol and Fletcher!

TOTALLY agree with the post of "they care more for our pets, than our doc's care about our human family"!!! Patience Caring Genuinely interested in our dogs care & life. We have been 'patients' for over 15 years & Through 4 dogs, currently, & as usual 2 at a time. Even to the point of offering us 'Dr. Suzanne's to easily and not 'scary' ie at our home "put our beloved Mollie into her forever home for us. Truely the best possible 'outcome & comfort' for our entire family!!! Now that we have found Hawthorne, we'll be indebted to them for ALL our dogs care & meds needed!!!

I do not recommend Hawthorne Animal Hospital. We have been taking our pets there since 2012, initially they were very friendly and knowledgeable. Now every time I go in I am constantly talked down to and from staff I've never seen before. They don't look at my pets' chart but tell me I'm wrong and treat me like I couldn't possibly know what I'm talking about. When I inform them that what I am talking about is on their chart they condescendingly answer me. On our last check up my dog was seen by a vet I hadn't met before and without asking me how much I feed my dog or what I feed him she told me to feed him less...which would end up starving my dog. Dr. Bauer is friendly, but I am not sure if he is even there anymore. I have many more instances of their rude customer service that left much to be desired. I am finally fed up with their treatment and will be taking my pets somewhere else.

Staff is always very nice. I mainly go for grooming multiple times a year and annual checkups for my dog.

Recently moved to the area, staff is okay. Vets exam was very minimal. Waiting room is small, not good for multiple animals. My dog was bit by another dog who escaped his collar while being transported by a tech. We had to physically remove the other dog ourselves, the staff just watched. Not as much as an apology. Based on how this situation was handled, I assume incidents like this occur frequently. If you care for your pet, find another clinic.

if i could give a 0 stars i would i worked there for one official day and then they let me go just because i didn’t ask questions,even though i already had the experience for the job from precious jobs. do not work there!!

For over 20 years I have been bringing our pets to Hawthorne Animal Hospital. I often laugh and tell friends that the Hawthorne doctors/vet techs care more about our pets than our doctors care about our human family! The entire staff is patient, eager to answer questions, and show genuine concern for our pets. Our annual visits are thorough and unrushed. The vets take their time and seek to answer all questions and concerns, as well as educate the pet parent about pet care and any necessary medicines. Our pets also enjoy superior grooming services here! I highly recommend this animal hospital!

Always professional and my dogs are comfortable coming here.
