The staff is so wonderful and friendly. You can tell that they have a genuine love for all animals. When given meds for my cats. They took the time to go over how to administer until I felt confident that I could do it myself. I really appreciated that.

Morning of August 25th, my roommate rushed our dog, Harvey, to The Plaza Animal Clinic where he was TURNED AWAY. Harvey had trouble breathing and was told to not even bother to be taken out of the car to be seen or helped. After explaining to them how Harvey died after being turned away, we were met with policy rules which I'm sure will be their response to my review. The lack of professionalism was uncanny.

I have been with Plaza Animal Clinic for nearly a decade, originally with Dr. Mountain and now with Dr. Twigg. I will say right out of the gate that I have absolutely no concerns about Dr. Twigg's compassion, expertise and professionalism. Also, Maryanne is awesome. The reason for the new one star review is this: we have recently adopted a new puppy, and even more recently a new cat. Dr. Twigg euthanized both our old dog and old cat earlier this year, and we were grateful to have him there during some of the worst moments in our lives. Today, I called to make an appointment for my new cat, and was told by the office manager that I could not make an appointment because of "repeated problems" with me. I asked him what those problems were, as I was caught off guard, and he said that he has multiple notes in our account where I have called to "complain." I have expressed concerns three times that I recall: 1. Many years ago, another vet who worked for Dr. Twigg saw my old cat for an eye problem. She briefly examined him, did not examine his eyes, and prescribed antibiotics. Three weeks later, we were rushing to an emergency vet because he had a luxated lens in the effected eye. It was an absolutely a valid concern. I discussed the issue with Dr. Twigg and he addressed it. I'm not certain why, and it is none of our business, but that particular vet left the practice shortly after. 2. Toward the end of my old cat's life, I had to purchase antibiotics for him, and needed them in a hurry, so I purchased them from the vet directly. We had questioned their drug prices before, frequently at a 300% markup, which in an urgent situation is worth it. However, this medication was marked up, if I recall correctly, 8x the retail price at CVS. I absolutely asked questions of this, and even the practice manager, who prices the drugs, said that he had indeed marked the medication up that much, and then laughed a bit about it. Hilarious while I'm nursing my dying cat. 3. More recently, with our new dog, we learned that the clinic had changed its policies and would no longer send prescriptions to Chewy.com, even for things like topical flea treatments etc. When I asked about this, I was told by the person I was speaking to that it was "too much of a hassle" for them to do it, with no other real explanation. I politely expressed my displeasure that they had passed the hassle onto us, and moved on. To be completely caught off guard today when I called to make an appointment with my now former vet for my new cat was saddening. I have never felt so undervalued as a customer in my life - especially from a locally owned business. No one ever called to get more information about my most recent concerns. I was never rude to anyone, I did not shout, I was absolutely polite, and I did not make any weird Karen-like demands of anyone. I expressed concerns. I am a business owner, and I love getting direct, specific, and detailed feedback of all sorts. I am mystified when I encounter other business owners who don't want the same. If I ever got to the point where I felt I could no longer do business with one of my clients, I would immediately want to talk to them personally and find out what I could do better, and hear more from them. Additionally, for the three times I've raised concerns, there must be dozens where I've expressed gratitude. I have another review out here somewhere that is absolutely stellar, and I wouldn't change a word of it. That's interesting that you think I attacked people verbally on the phone or in person - especially on the phone today when you said "you have always been so pleasant in person." I've never attacked anyone, ever. Not my style, and certainly have never threatened anyone or am a safety risk. The topical we use is prescription and you know that as well. I did not say Jason laughed at me. He laughed at the 800% markup. Don't smear my character to make yourself feel better.

Incredible Doctor and staff. Saved our boy! Best care and advice for a 300 mile radius. State of the art facility. If you want the best, go here. Very personal and caring staff. They explained everything and responded off hours to us. Can't say enough for the off hours connect and information. Made a huge difference where our animals will go from now on.

I've been going here for the past 4 years and my experience has always been great. They're always caring and understanding in all interactions. I'll be moving out of the area and it'll be difficult to find a comparable replacement.

Gave me a bill and pills. The owner say I'm not a client. Correct, I did not continue service with this place. But the first service sucked. lol I didnt give my dog the pills and she was fine in a couple of days. They knew I was a new owner and played on my ignorance. No common courtesy from this place..

They put my dog up for adoption when I was incapacitated. My stepdaughter told the to do this. She did not have my power of attorney to do this and they had my phone number and could have called me so I could make different arrangements.

Courteous, quick, organized, and thorough. They make an effort to see my dog on short notice. They don’t push extra meds or testing either. There’s also a large grassy are and ample lot and street parking.

I stand by my 1 star. Their receptionist was rude when I tried to make an appointment for my PitBull. Owner is fake with their comment.
