I have nothing but glowing reviews for doggy style bowtique. I have a Puli, which is a unique breed that needs specialized grooming for his corded coat. I found Emma here and I’m so glad I did. I wouldn’t trust my dog with anyone else. She’s been working with him since he was a puppy and now at 2yrs old his coat is full, uniform and clean. And Emma makes sure he’s comfortable (cords pulled back out of his eyes, trimmed around his face, etc.) while still staying true to the breed standard. She and the owner are extremely communicative throughout the day. If something comes up that we didn’t discuss before hand, she always calls me to ask. She also takes extra time to show me what I can do at home to keep his coat in good shape.

By the picture they post I thought this would be the place for my dog. But I was so wrong, they told me that it would cost me $68, but when I went to pick up my dog. It was $85. Then the cut look like it was done by me, a beginner. Until now I was taking my dog to the Grooming Project. But they are so booked up. So that’s why I tried somewhere new. This place did I terrible job on my dog . A big mistake ..I think they may erase the bad reviews because I didn’t see many. I did my research but was misled to this place. Please be aware of this place…. I only gave it 1 star because I had to, to do my review…

I took my two dogs for a bath and claw trim - a Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull) and a black lab mix - and they did a great job! The person I spoke with on the phone was super friendly and had detailed answers to all of my questions. My Staffy has issues with dry/sensitive skin and lab struggles with separation anxiety and is constantly shedding. They gave them both special treatments that seem to have done trick and both dogs were very happy when I came to get them! I always worry about dropping them off somewhere (maybe I have separation anxiety lol) but they didn't have any trouble! The groomer, Kerry I think, had nothing but compliments for both dogs, so I'm sure I'll be coming back.

I had a great first experience here today. Everyone was friendly and relaxed. I was about to get a parking ticket outside and they were very nice about me running out to plead with the cop and took my dog for me immediately. They were very non judge mental about my dog having some matting on the back of her neck as she is prone to it in that area. At other grooming places I have gotten the hint that they believe this means I don’t care for my dog properly. I didn’t feel that way at all here. I am not very particular with her cuts but it turned out really well. She also seemed very happy when I picked her up. I think some of the negative reviews maybe aren’t comfortable with the relaxed environment? But to me it’s a positive! (They also didn’t get mad at me for not understanding that you have to wait at the door to be buzzed in)

The back where they groom the dogs is gross, they charge too much to have amateurs doing the work. Honestly save yourself some money and do it yourself. The owner also has a horrible attitude. I thought I might just have taken things the wrong way at first but then when I looked at the reviews for this place she gets aggressive with any and all 1 star reviews. Seriously go have yourself a look.

The staff were friendly and the prices were good. They trimmed my dogs nails and cleaned his ears well however, I didn't particularly like that my dogs hair was shaved all off (and his legs were nicked a bit). I did say I wanted a low cut but not as low as it was. Maybe it was a communication error. I did like how they styled his face. I will return once more and give a more detailed description of how I want his hair cut to get a good gage on how their styling skills are.

I was recommended to this groomer by a friend who takes her dog here and they did a great job! I could tell Snow did really well and wasn’t shy or nervous with them when I picked her up. We’ll be back! ????

We booked an appt for our Siberian Husky (Storm) dropped him off at 8:45am got him back at 3:30pm and he looks PERFECT! He was so matted and definitely needed a good grooming. This is the second time we’ve taken him and it’ll be many more times after this as well! Thank you so much for taking such good care of Storm!

I had an excellent experience here. Everyone was very nice and excited to welcome Artoo and I to their Bowtique. The groomer was very quick and knowledgeable about how a dog should be groomed (sad that I have to even state this, but I've had some crazy experiences with different groomers throughout the years). The time estimate I was given was accurate and pricing was very reasonable. I was able to get an appointment within a week and appreciate a place offering services on the weekend. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience that I would recommend to anyone who loves to pamper their pups. It should be noted that the entrance to this shop is on Wesport Rd and not Bell St. GPS took me down Bell St, which is actually the entrance to their doggy daycare, not the pet salon.

I’ve taken two of my dogs here since being referred here. I am super impressed with the quality of their work in grooming and in daycare/boarding. The grooming was the best I’ve ever had, no matter wherever else I’ve been in state and before moving to MO. They really care for the dogs and the satisfaction of their customers. In daycare/boarding, they treat the dogs as if they were their own. You can tell that they really love their jobs AND the dogs they care for. I couldn’t be happier with their professionalism and their friendliness/ pleasant attitude. I’ll continue to use them for all services they supply and am constantly recommending them to personal friends and family and on the Nextdoor app.

I brought my two Newfoundland’s in to be groomed here. The individuales service was wonderful, the attention to my two boys was great. They were able to create special shampoo for my boys hot spots. They now smell wonderful, look fabulous, and feel fantastic. Within an hour people were commenting on how handsome they were with their hair cuts and how shiny and soft they were. Thank you guys for taking care of my big fluffy babies.

The owner is hands on and on top of her business . She cares for the dogs and makes sure her employees give 100% just as she does . Totally trust them . I think a few of these poor reviews are from a disgruntled past employee. . This business has been around for quite a long time , and it’s growth and success are due to hard work and dedication . Love this place and hope you give it a try !????????❤️????????

I was blown away by this place. I can not say enough good things them. From Being greeted by some of the friendliest ladies to Rebecca making sure she knew exactly how I wanted Dexter groomed. I loved how they took their time to get to know us before hand. It was very comforting and I didn’t feel like I was handing my baby over to a stranger. When I picked him up I was in complete awe, He has never looked better. My only regret is not finding this place sooner. I’m a customer for life!!

I’ve used this groomer a few times in a pinch when I couldn’t get into my normal groomer. My most recent experience was less than great. My dog was absolutely in need of a groom. I just moved and neglected her brushing and bathing like I normally do. I knew she was going to need to be cut shorter than I had wanted and when they explained that to me I said it was ok. I even asked for a recommendation for a better brush. They charged me an extra $50 when I showed up to pay for a mat fee. Total, I paid $165 not including a small tip I left for the groomer. I’ve NEVER paid that much to have my dog groomed even when she had mating. I’ve worked at a fancy boutique dog groomer before and none of the groomers I worked with ever charged that much for a mat fee, especially when they didn’t actually spend extra time on the mats. They shaved her down and had her ready 2 hours before the estimated time. I got out of there and immediately scheduled 3 future grooming appointments with my normal groomer so this won’t happen again. My partner and I will not be bringing our dogs back here.

The area where they wash dogs is disgusting. The back smells like year old rotting pee. The kennel area looks like it hasnt been cleaned in months. The owner has zero customer service skills. And to top it off my dog came back looking butchered with bruised around her neck that looked like she was choked. I get wanting to support local but there are way better options.

There is some crazy going on in this place.

My dogs look absolutely amazing and came back very happy. I have an Australian shepherd that is very difficult to groom and they were sure to speak with me before to know exactly what I wanted and wow did they ever deliver. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable and it’s clear they love dogs. Don’t look anywhere else for grooming in KC. I can’t wait to try them for daycare and boarding.

This place is amazing and has a great staff and owner, highly recommend for your grooming needs.

Totally unprofessional. Dirty environment. Take your loved pets somewhere with respectable ownership. Before you enter I suggest you read the owners responses to her staff and previous customers on here. It is sad they way she has spoken to other humans publicly. She will do it to current and future staff , customers, and animals too - Do not support this hate!

I have just called twice to book an appointment for grooming for my morkie I just relocated to Missouri a week ago and honestly I was looking forward to booking an appointment for my 8 month morkie. First I was told no availability for two weeks and within the hour I’m told no availability for three weeks and I was still wanting to book an appointment and was rudely hung up on. Terrible experience so far and the staff/receptionist isn’t attentive whatsoever. I will continue to look for another grooming facility. Update: No, my phone did not hang up. You could have said there was no availability till then.

The groomers do a nice job and we have beds using them for our schnauzer Willy fir the past year with no problems.

Took my two older dogs here for boarding bc it came recommended. Super disappointed with the end result. I called a few days into my trip to ask how they were doing. I was told, “they’re out of food” I responded, how? They don’t eat that much at home and I packed extra? I was told, well they’re eating here! So you overfed my dogs and didn’t call to tell me they were running low?! They’re on a special diet and she said, well I have some I can feed them I’ll just charge you. Hmm. What would they have done if I hadn’t called to check?! I’m not sure why no one would have notified me. I could have arranged to have extra food delivered, even though I packed MORE THAN ENOUGH. Also, upon pickup they told me one of my dogs was aggressive to the other one, and one of my dogs shook the whole time. Again. WHY DIDNT ANYONE CALL ME?!? I came home and noticed gashes on my dogs nose and her lip HANGING off her mouth. I told them before I left that my boy was having negative side effect to medicine and was hyper stimulated, and to please watch him and let me know if he continued the behavior. I never received any call, when clearly he was having major side effects. Super disappointed in this place and how they handled my dogs. Would not go back. Edit: THEY DONT HAVE EYES!! You absolutely knew they were both blind. And they are in great health, except for having side effects to medication, which I informed both people when I dropped them off. Yes they can nip at each other but the fact no one called to tell me she needed veterinary attention is RIDICULOUS. This place is a joke and so is the person responding to my negative review. And as far as the food goes, I do not feed them massive amounts bc they are only 10lbs! I gave specific feeding instructions which clearly no one wrote down or listened to. There was plenty of food. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL New EDIT:: in response to Alyssa, the manager, there’s no way the owner would have had ANY knowledge of what my dogs do at home, Bc I had never spoken with her about my dogs at all! Other than to book reservations. So now you are both making up things to cover yourselves.

We’ve had multiple dogs there and have been pleased with the service every time. The people there really care about the dogs!

In response about the 2 blind dogs, roscoe and karma. I'm the manager of the doggiestyle daycare, I was with the dogs a lot during their stay. Since the dogs were blind we had them separated from the other dogs in a puppy play pen. I thought they were getting in little fights when they bumped into eachother, bc they thought it could be another dog. When the little fights happened, I would get in and sit with them, calming them down and playing with them until they were fine. When I told the owner that they got in little fights, she told me that was normal behavior for Roscoe. Karma was shaking like any nervous dog would in a loud, new environment, but she would calm down when I held her, so I did often. When I told the owner that she would shake sometimes but would then calm down, she told me that karma shakes like that in her own home! Neither of us saw anything wrong with karma, her lip was not hanging off. There was no blood or any sign of an injury, that either of us could see.

Wonderful affordable place to take your dogs. My pups always come back looking so beautiful!

Is the owner paying people to give good reviews? The daycare is awful, because of how the owner runs things. Just look at how she responds to negative reviews. Go to other daycares, you’ll be better off.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Doggy’s Style Pet Grooming. Gretchen treats my dog as if it was her own. Even better when I am in a bind she finds a way to help me out. I highly recommend bringing your dog here for an experience they will truly enjoy!
