Everyone has been wonderful at AMC. They are a happy bunch that shows a lot of attention to both of the patients (owners and pet!) thus making visits a quality experience!

You guys are perfect! I take both of my cats here and each time they are treated great. I know they are in wonderful hands here. Thank you for all your help. ❤ Also, I am a part of the program here and pay monthly. It really is a good deal and would highly recommend it. It covers the cost of an annual checkup and shots, discounted visits and I got my male cat neutered for no charge. This really is the best clinic. My friend recommended this vet to me and I am so glad I listened. Take your pets here! ????

Dr. Kaemmer is amazing. Her staff is awesome. But Meg was brought into this world to provide world-class veterinary care. My dog Minnie “Big Momma”, will be turning 12 next spring & I am confident I will have Minnie by my side, happy & comfortable, as she spends her final years on this (crazy) Earth living her best life, thanks to Meg & her staff. If your fur baby needs vet care, this is where you go.

(sadly, “zero stars” is not an option) DO NOT GIVE THIS CLINIC YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, AND BRACE YOURSELF TO BE TREATED POORLY . Rude staff… every…. single... time!. Absolutely irresponsible with my financial information, by over-charging me REPEATEDLY for the “Pet plan” insurance. I’ve been bringing my pets to this clinic since NINETEEN EIGHTY-FIVE (1985) and the abusive way in which we’re treated, plus months of bank statements showing overcharges, making it abundantly clear that their work is shoddy, and that ANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER IS NOT A RESPONSIBLE STEWARD OF MY BANK INFORMATION. (and bringing this to their attention makes them EXTREMELY COMBATIVE!) . Further… having to insist to them over & over to provide the basic care that the pet plan provides (they failed to take a fecal, for the fecal test that’s included, as well as the annual blood work, also included, but still i had to insist 3 times to finally get it done) With that said, the ZERO TRUST that my pets even get a thorough exam, given the way they are taken from me, and whisked away to the back of the clinic, “to get their vaccines & exam”. I have ZERO TRUST that my animals get the care they deserve…. vet care that i’m paying for monthly (and in paying monthly, being over charged) CERTAINLY NOT THE LEVEL OF CARE MY PETS HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED, FROM DR.JARVIS WILLIAMS, DVM, when HE ran his clinic for decades, and before retiring, & selling his practice to these irresponsible, insensitive circus clowns. (the vets don’t even last long at this place, which is also quite telling!) PROCEED WITH CAUTION IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET(S). UPDATE: After providing proof of Animal Medical Center charging us SIXTEEN TIMES in a TWELVE MONTH PERIOD, a credit was processed for the UNAUTHORIZED OVER-CHARGES, and our three decade long relationship with AMC, has been terminated. I stand by every word in my initial review. And, rather than the staff at AMC using basic manners, (ie; excuse me”, “thank you”, “i’m sorry”, “you’re welcome”, etc.), providing all services for my animals that had already been paid for, and representing themselves as “professionals”, a client of THIRTY-SIX YEARS has said “Goodbye!”, instead.

My pets hate going there. But they don’t have a choice when they’re sick. The staff is very helpful and well educated.

Had to have a sad break-up with this place today. The prices are cheap, but the staff was unprofessional and demeaning and could never seem to deliver a consistent message, so I guess you get what you pay for.

I hate to start out a review of a vet with talking about another vet, but it’s necessary here. We used to go to Dr. Maxwell at Union Hill Animal Hospital. Dr. Maxwell got us through some very difficult times with our pets and we just adored him. When he retired in 2014, I actually cried my eyes out in his arms. I thought we’d never find another vet who loved our animals the way he did. Enter Dr. Kaemmer. If anyone reading this, including Dr. Kaemmer, knows Dr. Maxwell, then comparing her to him is really all you need to know. But for those of you who didn’t know him, let me tell you why Dr. Kaemmer is like him. She LOVES our pets the way she would love her own pets. She is kind and understanding of our anxiety about them. She is honest about their prognoses. She works for their GOOD, not your money. I trust everything she tells me because I know she’s telling me the truth about what is truly BEST for our pets. Thank you!!!

Just moved to Kansas City and was looking for a Vet for my pup. Thought I'd try the clinic close to my house, and it was a great place! The staff was wonderful, prompt and efficient, and my pup LOVED Dr. McMeans! I think this is a great fit for us and we look forward to coming back again. If you're looking for a Vets office in the Waldo area of Kansas City, look no further, these guys rock!!!

They have the best health packages that include dental and flu shots. Very reasonable. I've been with them for over 20yrs. They know my voice on the phone and they know my 3 fur babies, Fiona, Gigi and Alejandro. Very professional yet super friendly. I highly recommend them.

I switched to Animal Medical Center of KC when my boyfriend recommended it. I get a massage weekly in Waldo, and I arrange appointments for Queenie-b, my 14 years old JRT, immediately after my massages. There are no convenient veterinary clinics near where I live in Downtown KCMO, so Animal Medical Center of KC a great & convenient option for me.

I came home from my mother's funeral to find her beloved cat in distress. I called this clinic where she had taken her animals for decades. TOO BAD, SO SAD, GO TO THE EMERGENCY CLINIC OF YOU REALLY THINK THAT'S A BIG ENOUGH PROBLEM was the flippant, dismissive response that I got from the girl on the phone. She didn't even talk tot the vet about my concerns. The cat died the next day. Do yourself a favor and take your animals someplace else where employees have compassion.

I've been going to the Animal Medical Center since 2004. They have changed a lot over the years but their care and the well being of my pet always seemed top priority. Simply stated it's a trusted establishment for me.

I love the caring people at AMC. I have referred them to 3 different relatives and we all agree that we would continue to refer people back to them. It's always obvious that everyone there is for the welfare of the animals.

These people care so much about you and your pet. I recommend them and their services to anyone. They actually do care more than most other places.

They were great. Very caring and explained step by step what to expect as we put down a family pet. Followed up with a sincere card and paw prints. Highly recommended.

The entire team graciously listens to detailed explanations of the animal’s symptoms or needs before suggesting a treatment path. This patience and the Vets knowledgeable treatment and willingness to explain the why, how, and options for treatment, makes AMC the best veterinary practice I have ever encountered! The Vets and the entire staff take care of every animal and their “people”, professionally, empathetically, and never seem rushed even though they may be very busy. I highly recommend the best team in KC!

We have been taking our babies here for more than 20 years. Always took good care and gave great advice. But when you can't get an appointment for a very sick dog what is the point of having them as your Vet. They have seen my baby since he was 3 months old and he's 10 now. Called Friday morning, told maybe Monday. I was told to go to Blue Pearl because they were too busy. Obviously they don't consider the well being of the animals they see. They used to, I think now it's more about well care and making money. Don't wait until your baby is sick and you are scared and need help. Find a vet that cares enough to say come now. Thankfully I did just that. VCA Animal Clinic at 9600 and Antioch. I told them the problem and she said yes he needs immediate care, how soon can you be here. Never been there before but that didn't matter. Dr. Starr and his staff was excellent. They took superior care of my baby giving him all three new prescriptions before we left the office. We will be going there from now on. They genuinely care about your babies. You can't ask more than the service they provided and my boy is so much better today.

AMC was so understanding and caring, fitting us in short notice to take care of June Bug. We are so incredibly thankful for their fantastic care.
