R C Kennels Junction City, Kansas

This is the 2nd time I have left my dogs with them and they have come back sick and with kennel cough. Will not be taking them back again . This is ridiculous and I have called 3 vets and they all have said they have seen multiple dogs from RC kennels with kennel cough and they have let them know and still dogs are getting sick . I would not recommend.

Absolutely an amazing staff & facility! My dogs were spoiled and felt at home an got socialized and medical care too! I would definitely use them in the future! Highly recommend!

Love this facility!!!! We have a bulldog and were worried about her care, but Kathy put that worry to rest really fast. Excellent boarding facility, our dog absolutely loves going for daycare. Grooming prices are reasonable and if you have a fussy dog for nail trims you can ask for just a nail trim. Everything is clean, dogs are always outside playing.

This is our pets home away from home. Rufus loves his buddies there.

I took My dog here 3 times he comes back sick at first i thought he was home sick but no he has bad spewing and constantly throwing up i wouldnt Recommend leaving your dog here. I’m pretty sure there dog food is old as well as they don’t let them get approximate playing time.

I would say that the staff seemed very polite and caring, but what really counts is how they actually take care of your pets. That said, we recently left our pets for two nights and one day, they were both very worn out and when we got them home, they drank multiple bowls of water! Not sure if they were just not given water or perhaps they were so stressed out that they couldn't eat or drink, and why would that be? We have boarded at other places in the past and that never happened before. Also, a female staff member told us that she could send us a picture of our pets, but when we called, we spoke to a young man who told us "we're too busy to do that now", but at the end of the conversation, he said "we're not real busy right now". That is fishy, and our pets mean too much to us to leave it to chance. You never really know how your pet is going to be treated anywhere once you leave. We will insist next time on places that allow online monitoring. Just our experience. Our pets were so exhausted they crashed all night.

We have taken our dogs to RC for boarding a few times. I don’t like that the kennels are all outside. My dogs came back extremely overheated from the 4th of July weekend. I requested that my dogs get groomed and when I went to pick them up they had their nails trimmed and a bath but they hadn’t been brushed out which is what I really needed. I wanted the winter coat taken care of. They miscommunicated with my husband about price and the front office had no idea what we were suppose to be charged for. Communication was not good. My dogs also came home with kennel cough. Rc looks pretty from the outside but I think my dogs were extremely stressed the entire time and now I have to pay for a vet bill and my dogs are miserable. We will be looking for other kenneling options.

I've been utilizing RC Kennels as doggy daycare for my Labrador Retriever. He seems to really enjoy attending, and demonstrates fondness for much of the staff, as they do for him. Prices recently increased slightly so I limit how many days per week my pup can stay for the day. It's usually quite busy, and noisy (dogs barking) which my labbie-boy does not mind. The kennel was too busy for my retired service-dog however, and she was less of a fan. Your dog's temperament will certainly play a part in whether and how they enjoy RC Kennels. It's paramount that all dogs be fully vaccinated prior to attending, as kennel cough can become a problem if dogs don't have Bordetella vaccine. 11JUN21: I'm editing my review to reflect that this week there was apparently another outbreak of kennel cough at the kennel but it was not identified to me when I brought my dog this week. Now he has kennel cough and I've incurred a vet bill for treatment. My labbie-boy is miserable, taking antibiotics, and is having to miss paid training. That's two outbreaks in several months. My veterinarian suggested I use a different kennel for boarding. I'm upset; my dog loves it at RC Kennels, yet they seem unable to maintain an adequately clean environment. I've never had a dog contract kennel cough at any other kennel.

Both of my dogs have kennel cough now and they didn't have it before. Don't go here. Apparently this place is notorious for giving dogs kennel cough.

I took my two dogs there for the week while I was in Orlando with my family and we came back and my dog Cooper came back with a chunk of his lip gone! And when I went in to pick them up some employees were swearing!But because his lip has a chunk taken out of his lip I may not come back. He is an old dog and I don't want his life to be miserable while I go on trips! I didn't even get notified about his lip or nothing! But the place was nice besides that. And when they are outside with the fogs have someone watch the dogs so no dogs get hurt! The employees were really nice besides the swearing-in workplace.

They are so nice and accommodating, I've brought my pups here a few times and definitely recommend!

I took my dog Schatzi, a West highland terrier to be groomed today and they did a fantastic job! The price was very reasonable. I found my new groomer!

Been taking my baby to RC for a few months now, she went from being a shy dog to playing with all dogs at the park. When I pick her up at the end of the day she is exhausted. Everyone who works at RC knows my puppy’s name they treat her like family. I can’t tell you what a lifesaver RC has been to me. She loves going to RC kennels, affordable prices and wonderful staff!

Kathy and the crew are great with Jax and Sissy! They love going to daycare and get excited when we turn onto the road leading there!

Members of my family have boarded pets at RC Kennels for years. Kathy and her staff go above and beyond to provide a safe and loving environment.

They love what they do and it shows. Great service and reasonable prices. Our puppy loves it there.

Prices are fair, but upon getting my dog she had a scratch on her face VERY close to her eye that was bleeding, if it was 2 centimeters higher it would have been her eye that was cut, I was rather upset about this and that's the only reason I gave 3 stars

I worked here and I'd never in a million years leave my babies here not even for the day care. Sorry it is dirty, and they worry more about the money then the fur babies. Kathy may have the best interest of your pet in mind but if they are full. They somehow find the room for more animals. People have boarded there in the cold winter months and some of the animals were boarded in outside kennels with tarps around the outside fences and hay in the run. Sorry it's not the great place you think it is.

I was scared to leave my babies honestly but they were real good with them my boys came home happy and healthy. The staff is amazing. We got stranded out of state 3 extra days and there was no issue with them being there.
