Pawsitive Paws personnel have been very patient and kind with my smart Border Collie and me. She is easily distracted and would like to play with other dogs on the other side of the building. They understand all types of breeds which is invaluable.Connie is the very best!

I need to start by saying that I feel like pawsitive paws exclusively has had a huge and positive effect on my puppy! I rescued a 6 month old puppy that has not been socialized. She would bark at strangers and sometimes at dogs as she was afraid/timid. After my puppy spent an extended weekend at pawsitive paws while I was traveling - I can instantly see that she's more comfortable around strangers and other dogs. The owner and staff here genuinely care for the dogs they have in their facility. It puts my mind at rest while I'm away to know that she's being properly taken care of. Fantastic owner and team.

We take our Shiba Inu here for boarding, daycare and grooming. They have reasonable prices and my dog always comes home in a great mood!

I am on my second dog going here for both Daycare and various classes. Both dogs were always elated to go. My puppy loves it there. Wish I could take him everyday. Great socialization and exercise for dogs.

Our puppy really enjoyed puppy socialization class. The trainers are nice and seem to know their stuff however I find the business itself confusing. When I call about class schedule no one knows when classes are. It seems odd they don't want business. No one talks to you.

Great training and boarding facility. Have had great success with or English Cream Golden Retriever. Within 3 sessions had him consistently doing 6 tricks, recall, and focus sitting.

Had a great experience! Took my dog here for the first time since we were on vacation for five days. Everything went great and got him checked in with online reservation. Dropped him off with his leash and food. The price wasn’t bad considering he was kenneled and for day care. I think the even brushed him during day care. We will be back!

PPA is an excellent facility. We have taken both of our dogs there since they were puppies and have done dog training classes, agility, flyball, boarding and daycare. They absolutely LOVE it whenever we go there and the staff is very knowledgeable. Great place to go to let your dog burn off some energy with daycare!

I've only ever used their grooming services but they've always done a great job with our labradoodle. The cuts themselves have been good and they always listen to our special instructions. One Easter they even helped us do a temprary dye with Kool-Aid! And, when we still had our dwarf angora rabbit, this was the only grooming salon who agreed to groom our bunny without putting her under (as rabbits can make a lot of fuss and so most groomers and vets are afraid to groom them). They did great with her! Good prices too.

A great place for dogs to socialize at playgroups or doggie daycare. Classes for obedience and agility. Boarding. They also help with last rescue dogs.

Connie from Pawsitive Paws Academy came to our house for a private training session and we were very impressed. We adopted our dog from a shelter 4 weeks ago and needed help training him in a few areas. Connie was very pleasant, patient and extremely helpful! Her advice was great! We plan to sign up for an agility class at the academy soon. Highly recommend her

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! We took out lab here and thought she would be well taken care of for the one day that we were out of town. We were completely wrong! upon picking her up we noticed she had a couple small cuts on her cheek. we asked if she had been bitten and they assured us she had not. A couple days later the cuts did not get bettered so we took her to the vet. They informed us that it was most likely caused by a bite from another dog and had gotten infected from an unclean facility. When we contacted them they were extremely rude and not helpful. The worst part is not how rude they were or the medical bill but it is the fact that our beautiful 1 year old lab now has scars on her face from the infection. This was all from one night at positive paws. So if you bring your dog here and leave them overnight THEY WILL BE NEGLECTED. The people working here do not care about the animals that they are supposed to be taking care of. There are plenty of other kennels that we have had great experiences with in the cedar rapids/hiawatha are a so for your pets sake take them somewhere else!

My dog is always excited when I take him for boarding and daycare, and healthy and happy when I come to pick him up. I've also taken him for puppy obedience and puppy agility, and the instructors are really great!

We have a lab puppy and the puppy class was OK, not great. They had a couple of good tips for us but it was a large group setting and you certainly won't leave there with an expertly trained puppy. We do leave our dog at the day care a couple of times a week. Their rates are very reasonable, especially if you buy the bulk packages. They segregate the dogs in different areas but the dogs do play quite a bit with each other, which we actually love as it helps burn all that puppy energy. But inevitably, there are going to be a few small cuts and scrapes. Puppies have sharp teeth. So if your dog is very sheepish or not social, you have to let the people know so they monitor the situation more carefully. They keep the place clean and the people there really do love animals so it isn't the Cadillac of Doggy Day Care, but it's certainly good enough.
