Excellent vets, excellent pet hospital

Having had my pets treated by military clinics, civilian clinics and veterinary schools in Alaska, California, Kansas and Germany, I can honestly say that the Boone Veterinary Hospital and its doctors and staff are second to none.

Staff were friendly and thorough.

The staff was amazing! So courteous and answered all my questions.

Great staff. Great service. They make my dog feel comfortable. They really showed interest in my Bailey and his health. They made extra accommodations for us.

I have a boxer (Izzy) and pomsky (Dawson) that come to the Boone Veterinary Hospital for the checkups, vaccinations, and sometimes boarding needs. Everyone is always very professional and treat our pets as if they are their own. Couldn't be happier with the care we receive for our fur babies and the quick response if any questions or needs arise. We are very lucky to have the Boone Veterinary Hospital in our community.

My husband and I moved from out of state and tried a handful of vets in Ames, but didn’t find anyone we felt were a good fit for our Frenchies. We are so happy we found Dr. McClure at Boone Vet Hospital. We always feel listened to and feel that our girls get excellent care. We always recommend Dr. McClure at BVH if someone asks us for a vet recommendation.

I picked up my friends 2 dogs at a Kennel and as couple days went by I had one of my furry friends start coughing really bad. When I found out what Vet they went too, I called and they were so helpful and immediately helped me with the process of getting medicine for him. I was so thankful that they helped me without the owners consent while they were on vacation. An hour later after I gave him his medicine, Grizzly has been able to be himself again and play without coughing. I lost my friend last December and when that time comes I think I found my new vet!!!! They look out for the animals without making a big deal on having their parents consent. That itself is truly 100% on what I am looking for as we can get busy in life. The staff is so nice and friendly. They are still taking cautious with the pandemic but still putting 110% in taking care of animals in need. I just wanted to write this review for saying thank you and as I have had issues in the past at other vets and driving back to Ankeny knowing that I had medicine to help my furry friend was such a huge relief. Thank you staff as Grizzly is doing lot better on day 1 with his medicine!!!

Everyone has always been very caring and compassionate for all of my furry family members!

My family has been taking our pets here forever! Last year my puppy started having an eye issue that is super uncommon and they had never seen it before. They were so helpful and researched her condition so that we didn't have to take her to the ER at Iowa State. They spent so much time with us getting her back to normal. I am so thankful that we have such a wonderful vet ????
