Had to have my parents Rottweiler put down last week. They were extremely compassionate and patient with us. My sisters fiance was the first to arrive with aurora. I arrived about 15 minutes after there closing time but they were more than willing to wait for me to arrive even with the veterinarian being on a tight schedule. They allowed us some time with aurora to say good bye, and they took really good care to ensure that she was in no pain. Aside from the reason for us being there, I couldn't have been happier with the care and compassion they showed for both my family, and aurora herself.

They charged over $620 for a UTI for my dog. Ridiculous. $120 of it was for something called professional services? All I did was get my dog's nails clipped.

I have a 2 year old husky with anxiety. I was told before I could get him fixed that his shots would have to be updated beforehand. No problem, I made an appointment for Romans booster shots and wellness check for the next month and took a half day at work so I could do so (I just recently moved about 35 minutes away from Shepherdsville). As I made the appointment for my fur baby I did mention that he was anxious without me near him and tends to growl and behave in an aggressive manner. For the record Roman has never bitten anyone he is just getting older and more dominant which is why I wanted to get him fixed in the first place. Due to the pandemic I had to chain Roman to wall in a room by himself so the assistants could retrieve him without being in contact with me..once again no problem. I did what the lady at the front desk told me to and went back to my car until he was ready. I got call 5 minutes later from the lady at the front desk saying that they couldn’t get Roman out of the room because the hair on his neck was up and they were scared? I asked if I could go back in and calm him down so they can take him back to which they agreed. When I entered the room Roman was not growling or barking and his tail was wagging. I handed him off to the girls and he was happy to receive their attention, the woman looked at me and said “he should be fine now, we will call you when he’s ready”. I walked back out to my car only to get another phone call not even 7 minutes later from the lady at the front desk telling me they could not do anything with him because he’s being aggressive. I offered to go back in to calm him down so they could at least muzzle him or I could muzzle him myself. The lady responded with “unfortunately no, we will just give him all of his shots the day of his surgery”... okay so I took time out of my day to bring my dog in to get shots that he could have received the same day of the surgery when I was specifically told he would have to have them before the surgery! and the fact that I mentioned that he gets nervous and aggressive without me to which I was REASSURED that they would take care of him with no problem. Roman has never even snapped at anyone, he plays well with children and is even well behaved with BABIES! Iv also had him boarded when I go on vacation and not one of the employees ever had a problem out of Roman!! I know how he can get without me in the room and I was sure to let them know that when I scheduled the appointment. Bottom line, they wasted my time. They did not want to mess with Roman and just wanted me to take him home. Not to mention Roman has had 2 rounds of shots their before without any issues. Iv decided to take him to a vet closer to where I live, Iv been to plenty of vets before and never been turned away until now. The ladies there are rude and stick their nose up at me as well as making me feel like I have failed as a pet owner. So with that being said am no longer giving this place my time or business. I hope everyone else has a better experience. As a pet owner my fur babies are a big part of my life and I will do what i can to make sure they are tended to and cared for in a positive and nurturing manner, to which Bullitt County Veterinary Center has done the least.

I love these people! I've been going to them for about 12 years now, and they have put up with my mean ol' cat like pros. They do NOT handle exotics, but they gave me some input on my ferrets health out of kindness and when I took her somewhere else, I learned she had lymphoma. I really appreciated their care and concern.

Dr doesn’t know what he’s doing. Doesn’t care about your dogs needs just wants to get it done so he can have his money. Very unprofessional when trying to speak with him. Told us if you don’t like what I’m doing then go somewhere else.
