We took our two Bichon Frise puppies to Doctor Herre for an important checkup. We had a very informative and enjoyable conversation with him after their exam in which he gave us a number of significant and helpful details about their health and care. He clearly cares a great deal about all the animals he sees as a vet. Everyone at the Prospect Animal Clinic was very fun, friendly and helpful. I feel that Dr Herre and the Clinic will always be there when our puppies need them, and I give them my highest recommendation as first-rate vets to take care of your dear pets.

Best vet I've ever been to. Dr. Wiggins cares about his patients.

For anyone looking for a vet, Prospect Animal Clinic is THE best. I'm a small dog owner...some like the little ones more than others. My dog is extremely fearful of seeing the doctor, so he's a challenge. Normally I hover during visits, but because of Covid, patients must now go in to see the Doctor alone. Dr. Wiggins & the staff treat us like family. They're gentle with my little one, they are always attentive & they do whatever they can -at any time. Recently my dog was very sick & had to take several medications for over a week. Dr. Wiggins office called several times to check in and make sure things were okay. Prospect Animal Clinic is the only place I trust to care for my pets. On 2/17/2021 my sweet little dog lost his fight against heart failure and pneumonia. He became very sick, very suddenly. Dr Wiggins was wonderful. I would trust no other Doctor to be with my dog in his final moments. Saying goodbye is the hardest thing we have to do with our pets. Thank you to the staff, Jonda and to Dr Wiggins. I am forever grateful for how hard you tried to help Levi ... And how lovingly you helped me stop his suffering. ❤️

Wonderful service by very caring staff

I can go on for hours about how amazing this vet clinic was to my puppy and I while visiting Kentucky for an unfortunate family emergency. I was so stressed out bringing my new puppy on a long car ride, had to cancel her vet appointment at our normal vet in Florida, and was anxiously hoping to find someone we could trust as much for my puppy’s first vet appointment since I’ve owned her. Dr. Wiggins and his team surpassed every expectation, they were so kind, got me in days earlier than my original appointment, answered all of my questions about my new little girl, and informed me of a bacterial infection on her belly. The next day, I noticed before her appointment she was struggling to pee and was urinating more often, but gave it another day to see if it was possibly a UTI. I called and they immediately let me bring in some of her urine and got results back of a UTI, medication, and probiotics to fully take care of my pup. Every call and worry I had, they were so kind and the doctor spoke with me personally in person and over the phone every single time which I appreciate so much. As if all of this they had not seen enough of me, three days later I am at a family visitation when I get word from the family member watching my two dogs that my older dog hit the puppy in the corner of her eye with her nail, it’s 5:35pm when the vet was supposed to be closed for 5 minutes already, and Dr. Wiggins answered my call at the office and would have stayed late to see my puppy if he thought it was that urgent that night. We both agreed that she was ok to wait until morning, and their sweet and amazing office allowed me to drop my puppy off the next morning while I attended my grandmothers funeral. The nurse even gave me text and picture updates to show me my sweet girl was fine and just playing! I had the hardest two weeks of my life, and always want my dogs to be safe, this office was so extraordinary I cannot give them enough compliments after my experience there! I will be telling all of my family and friends in Louisville/Prospect to trust their care! Thank you all once again for your fantastic work and helping me through all the chaos of having a young puppy!

Absolutely wonderful. You get an appointment and when you arrive you call to announce your appearance in front of the office. One of the staff comes out and gets your pet, brings them into the facility. My dog is comfortable with them. When the visit is over, your animal is brought out and Dr. Wiggins comes out, wearing a mask and gives you medication, instructions, etc. I will return, for sure.

The fact that we drive an extra 30 minutes out of our way to go here days everything about the quality this Animal Clinic provides. My dog had an allergic reaction and I was afraid she'd stop breathing. I was able to get them on the phone and they were able to calm me down. I passed plenty of animal clinics but wanted my dog to get the best care! We genuinely love them like family!

They provide top notch care. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I’ve never went to a veterinarian that I’ve felt more confident in. Plus, they actually take the time to talk to you. You can tell how much they care. Thank you, Dr. Wiggins.

I just took my dogs to their first visit at Prospect Animal Clinic, and I’m so glad I found them. Dr Wiggins was incredibly patient, kind, and friendly, and took the time to explain things very clearly. I scheduled the appointment over the phone with his wife, and she was also very kind, and went out of her way to accommodate my schedule. The office has a “small town doctor” feel to it, where they actually care, and you and your pet more than a file. Price was also very reasonable. I highly recommend!!

Dr. Wiggins and his staff are excellent. They have taken great care of our dogs and cats for over 15 years.

We were visiting from out of town and needed to see a veterinarian. Dr. Thomas saw our dog and was great at explaining everything and seemed very knowledgeable. The office equipment was a bit out of date but the cost was very reasonable.

Dr. Wiggins and his staff were very friendly and helpful. He took the time to answer all of my questions. They are very accomidatig with appointment availability. I feel very comfortable with the current veterinary medicine he practices and will be taking the rest of our pets there in the near future.

Good people to do business with. They care about what they do and treat each of our dogs as if they were their own.
