Requested I be consulted before anything done to my dog. Vet Agreed. Next thing I immediately hear dog screaming begging wailing in pain 10 minutes long. Sounded like my dog. It was. Vet had scraped infected ear excruciatingly painful traumatized dog and owner. Also was way $80 was 2x that. Dr Siegwald. Don't trust her judgment or reasoning. Vet was on wrong track til I explained dog had been swimming. Vet wanted to scrape BOTH ears and charge for both when only one was infected. Now that I think she must be scraped both ears WITHOUT CONSULTING ME. Also I asked to see specimen of bacteria instead she brot swab of ear was I get put myself. Insulting and violated trust. Dr should LISTEN and HEED agreements. I'm upset with my self for not addressing her and she convinced me to let her get the rest out without anesthesia AND they told me 3 x I could come in with my dog but that was a lie too. They made me stay outside in another room. Why all the gaslighting games?? Terrible traumatic violating experience at Stony Brook animal hospital. Shame on them for all those misrepresentations and insulting foolery. It was barbaric.

Dr. S takes the best care of my Pitbull babies and Dr. F is just as great-- amazing prices, great staff. The tech Megan is phenomenal-- front desk staff are really second to none and their office dog, Lemon, is pretty dang cute as well! Office is very clean and in a great location! Always prompt on responses when I have questions, as well! We absolutely love being apart of the SBAH family-- upon becoming a patient we even received a HAND WRITTEN card... Fabulous!

Amazing vet hospital and so kind. I came here for a second opinion on my 14 year old Golden, Otis. He had a nasty fatty tumor on his chest that my regular vet had said was inoperable. Dr. Fulkerson was so kind and caring. She did everything she could for us without suggesting anything unnecessary or any procedures that wouldn't be in our best interest. Unfortunately Otis lost his battle ultimately, but Stony Brook did everything they could to make his last weeks comfortable. I greatly appreciated all the time Dr. Fulkerson took to explain every going on and what options we had. Follow up was amazing. I never felt pressured and always felt that we were doing right by my boy Otis. We will be switching to Stony Brook as our primary care vet for our three remaining pets. Can't recommend enough!

Great service, friendly staff. Dr. Fulkerson is very patient and extremely willing to answer any questions, no matter how basic. I've spent 40+ minutes on one call just getting answers and feedback, never felt rushed or urged off the call. Super nice staff. Curb side care right now, but that doesn't diminish the level of service and thought.

My son and I took our Sulcata Tortoise for her 1st Wellness visit. The staff ... Megan, Doreen, and Dr Fulkerson, was amazing. Very friendly. Dr. Fulkerson is very knowledgeable about this tortoise, did a thorough exam and offered a few suggestions. We most definitely will continue to take her here!!! Thanks guys!!!! Much appreciated.

An incredible vet. Dr. Fulkerson is understanding and compassionate. It’s pricy for xrays and tests, but its so so worth it. I had an awful experience at Vet Associates Stonefield and this hospital was so reassuring. My snake ended up passing at absolutely no fault of the vet, he had an incurable disease and passed naturally. They sent me a card, hand signed by all staff that, if I’m being completely honest, made me cry. I’ll absolutely come back again

Adopted a new pup, took her to SBAH for wellness check. They did an excellent job.... detail exam, speedy and reasonable price. I would recommend SBAH to anyone.

Service is great, I took my yorkie here for the past 3 years but I give them 4 stars because they are very very expensive and they don't necessarily look on ways they can help you save but rather look for a more expensive alternative.

The vet was really nice to my pet tortoise, Boris. She was honest with me about some things I needed to do better at. Overall good experience. Price was pretty good.

My daughter brought her bearded dragon in because it was having some issues. The vet acted like she was very knowledgeable about Beardies but she didn't even know she was a HE!! My daughter paid quite a bit of money and learned nothing she didn't already know. We were given a print out to tell us how to take care of the dragon...things that we told her we knew. She didn't listen and basically tortured the poor thing by doing things that weren't necessary. We took him to another vet and found out the problem was pinworms. Paid an enormous amount for a minimum of knowledge. BE WARY !!!!

We were pleased with our visit. They were very gentle with my boy. Yes they do require a deposit if you’ve never been there before. That was off putting at first but I understand why they do it. The amount is applied to your bill so it’s not like they keep it. Office was clean and quiet Staff was friendly and understanding Prices are pretty standard We will be back for sure!

I have a 7 week old Labrador Retriever. I called Stoney Brook and said I would like to bring in my dogs stool sample for a Fecal exam for parasites. I was told by Doreen, the receptionist. they did not do that unless you first had a …

I took my rabbit, Molly, to this vet over a year ago because she was bleeding in her litter box. Yes it cost a lot of money to diagnose, and we didn't figure out what was wrong exactly but she's approximately 3 years old now and doing great! They did X-rays and took samples and finally the spay. I think it was over $600 for everything but it was WORTH every dollar. Molly is doing great. She is a happy rabbit when I feed her and give her treats she wags her butt and shakes her tail and hops and twists. I love her so much and I want to thank you all for taking such good care of her. I forgot the doctors name but everyone at the place was so kind and professional. I also remember a dog behind the front desk who just chilled there. That made me happy.

Dr. Fulkerson is great! She has put together an awesome, caring staff. I feel like they treat my pets as if they were their own. I feel very comfortable there and assured they that they are doing the best for my animals.

Have never waited more than 15 mins. The Vet is very caring and immediately diagnosed an allergy and skin infection. Perfect diagnosis, our dog felt better after the first treatment. We are very satisfied!

We needed to have our cat put to sleep on very short notice. Everyone there was very helpful and so sincerely compassionate, it really helped my family get through what could've been an otherwise traumatic experience. I don't write many reviews but I was so taken back by the care we received I was inspired to do so. Thank you to everyone there!

They are very friendly! Reasonably priced! Take the time to check everything out and make sure there is nothing going on with your pet you haven't realized! We moved and still drive over 30 mins to take our pets there! Even our newest addition!! ????????

I will now be taking all of my animals to this location, I got nothing but care and compassion from the surgeon, Laura for my pet rat. She takes the time to explain to you what's going on with your pet. After the surgery, she sat down with me for 30 mins and talked about my pets with me. She even stayed past her clock out time to perform the surgery on my rat and told me it was more important than anything that we get him taken care of immediately. Not only was Laura very professional and understanding, the work she did on my pet was flawless. And I will trust no one else with my fur babies. Everyone in that building had a warm aura towards me and very friendly. 50 million stars.
