Terrible job, didn't cut my dog's nails 2 out of three times, cut my dog unevenly, didn't even cut out the small mattes, rude manager. Gave them three tries bc they have good availability, now I know why!

Our little, kind of older, dog with joint issues always comes out clean, nicely groomed and NOT traumatized. While we have our favorite groomer, substitutes are at times require and always do a nice job.

My experience with the ladies working the desk yesterday was positive. 1 stars for that. Connie's has been cutting my dog for years. A cut includes nails trimmed, according to the appointment desk. Three weeks ago I discovered 2 nails overgrown and curled on my dog, which the vet said obviously hadn't been trimmed in years. I felt neglectful and lied to by my groomer, but I maintained my appointment for grooming and didn't even tell them the story, deciding to check myself after every grooming that nails had actually been trimmed instead of trusting them. However, yesterday my Scottish Terrier had her skirt removed. Without consent. She looks stupid and it'll take a year or more to regain that growth. Had I wanted an all over single length "buzz cut", I would've done it myself and saved myself $53. No professional necessary. The traditional Scottie cut, being short on the back with a gradual fade into the skirt takes skill. That's what I pay for. I SHOULD have not been charged for what happened yesterday. Or I SHOULD have been offered our next cut pro-bono so they could prove their value. Nails not trimmed for years + lazy cut given with no regard to customer request and no desire to retain customer = finding a new groomer who is actually professional and invested in their business.

Susan has always does a fantastic job with Maggie Mae. I don't worry about leaving her with Susan, because I know she's gonna take good care of her, just like she's always done for years now. I don't just leave my dog with anyone, and Susan has always cut, handled, and cared for Maggie just like she was her own...and that definitely reduces my anxiety, especially if I know she's gonna be down there for 2 or 3 hrs.

11/28/2020: I cried when I actually got a chance to look at my dog. He is a schnauzer this is the first and the only time I would bring him here. I usually shave his whole body and leave the schnauzer face. I told the lady intaking him that I want his beard a little shorter than what it now and I even showed her a picture of his last cut. Now, his beard is almost nonexistent and his eyebrows are practically shaved off. I spoke with the groomer and she said she was under the impression that I wanted his beard very short, he had no eyebrows to work with (he was as fluffy as can be and had a justin beiber look going on with his brows), and that he was difficult to cut because of him moving. Ive never had issues with him elsewhere and the moving shouldn't even be a problem since we are at a dog groomer. Dogs will move sometimes. I can't even look at my dog without tearing up. My gut told me to cancel this appointment and I should've listened. UPDATE: Later that day, I spoke with the lady who I believe I showed the picture and his cutting information to when I dropped him off. I assumed she was the groomer since usually the groomers are the one to come out and ask what I like, especially if I'm a new client. My mistake for not asking and assuming. The groomer was a different person and this is where the miscommunication came into effect. I asked if maybe in the future, the groomers need to put eyes on the dogs and the owner when they arrive. I was told that this is how they usually do it but today my groomer was running late. They were very pleasant over the phone, very apologetic, refunded me in full, and even asked if I would give them a second chance. I respectfully declined. Make sure the person coming to get your dog is the actual groomer and that yall are on the same page! I dont want this type of miscommunication to occur with anyone else.

Dog nails done while you wait. Pull in, call in, wait patiently. They will come get your fur baby, clip the nails and return. Then you pay and leave. Depending on traffic, maybe 30 minutes. Yay!!

We brought our Aussie pup in for her first time at the groomer and we couldn’t be happier!!! She was so soft and fresh, and they even put adorable bows and a cute bandana on her! We’ll definitely be back!

I am sad to write this review but i think it is important to share my experience. My family had taken our family dog to Connie’s Groom Room for many years. I have gotten my own dog in the past year, a mini goldendoodle. I took him to Connie’s just for convince since it is close to where I live and we already had a relationship with them. When i picked him up for the first time, he was completely un recognizable. They had completely shaven my dog and taken away all the features that made him look like himself. I had asked for them to just trim him, I knew he was a little matted but nothing that would warrant a total shave. They made me feel bad as a owner, saying that he was too matted to trim and they just had to shave him. I took him back earlier this month, hoping for a different outcome. I was really specific with the girl at pick up that i just wanted his hair trimmed and i did not want him shaved because it’s winter and i didn’t want him to be completely hairless in this weather. She acted like she understood. When i picked him up it was exactly the opposite of what i had asked. They completely shaved him and gave me no explanation why. I wish i would’ve received a call to let me know what to expect or give me the option to decide to wait. I would’ve rather let him be a little matted and warm than completely naked. He now shivers every time he has to go outside and doesn’t want to play as long as normal. I am going to take my business somewhere else. There is no reason why they couldn’t have respected my request and handled the situation in a better way.

Absolute nightmare. I dropped off my cairn terrier at 8:30 AM to the Groom Room. I asked for a tidy up and said he must not be shaved. I called the Groom Room around 1 PM, and he had been bathed but not cut yet. I called back around 3:30 PM and he was "just about to get on the table, would be done in about an hour." When I arrived at 5:20 PM -- 10 minutes until their closing time -- I could see he was still on the table being groomed. They called me at 5:30 PM to say he was ready to be picked up, and again, I could see from where I was parked that he was still on their table being finished up. I told them I was already there. He was not ready until 5:40 PM. I paid before I could really see him and wish I hadn't -- he had been almost entirely shaved, and where he was trimmed with scissors, was left hacked away unevenly. The two groomers Michelle and Chelsea said that they had never groomed a cairn terrier before, that they were "two dummies" trying to look "at the book" and at videos online, that they did their best, and hoped he looked okay. I almost started crying when I saw him. Dogs with double coats need to have their double coat to protect them from the sun and to help them properly heat themselves/cool off. I explained that he was NOT supposed to be shaved because of his double coat and they said that they don't think they groomed down far enough to damage it. They said they were told to trim him, and that the services they rendered were a "trim." I would have 100% much rather that they called to tell me earlier on in the day to say they couldn't groom him, or to ask questions about how I wanted him groomed, and instead I have a dog who spent all day inside a cage -- who was bursting at the seams to go to the bathroom when we got out -- who was hurriedly groomed by two people who were not sure how to take care of his breed. I am furious. When they asked me if he looked alright I could only say that it's not like they could take it back now, now that his hair had already been shaved off. I will NEVER go back to this place and hope that his coat grows back correctly, which may have been permanently ruined by their actions -- one shave of a double coated dog can be all it takes. Please go to a groomer that takes your dog out during the day, gives access to water, and doesn't just try to fake it until they make it.

My dog Bear is a Great Pyrenees and is 1 and a half years old. His sister was there just a week ago and they did a great job on her. Bear is a bigger dog so knew it was going to take longer and be a bit more challenging but when I picked him up I was literally ready to cry. They called and said he a few spots underneath that would need to be shaved because it was too matted and I agreed to that. I picked him up and he was completely shave all over except his head and tail. They said he was too matted and it had to be done. I never agreed to that. His breeder even told us to NEVER get him shaved just a trim. We will never go back here and I just want to warn others to stay away.
