The Animal Den Lebanon, Indiana

I have a pup who doesn’t do well with humans and they did a great job with her.

We have taken our dogs to The Animal Den twice now. Both times we have been very pleased with the attention to our dogs. They were very attentive to our concerns.

Update: I haven't been there in a long time but I heard they stopped doing free nail trims. It was great while it lasted. I'm sure it was an unnecessary hassle for them and then COVID happened. Quincey, Rusty, and Sierra want to say, "THANK YOU for the nail trims!" Doggie Daddy wants to say, "Thanks for making them FREE!" You are very much appreciated.

Absolutely amazing service, timely, quality, extremely polite and caring. Everyone at The Animal Den took good care of my 2 month old kitten while it received the services I requested, I realized how amazing this place must feel for pets, with ten acres of land, a pet hotel, grooming too. This is everything needed all in one place the full experience for animals and to top it all they offer pickup and delivery services how much more convenient can it get! Definitely will return, thank you.

I made a reservation to board our dog here a week ago. I booked online during normal business hours. Per their confirmation email, "If your reservation request cannot be filled,one of the Animal Den team members will be contacting you within 12 hour". I was not contacted so I thought everything was fine. I called this morning to ask about grooming while out dog is staying there and the person on the said, "oh actually we don't have any room right now, sorry". When I asked want my booking and payment were confirmed via email they responded, "well I can guarantee you didn't pay anything yet" and ignored the fact no one communicated thisto me yet. I asked again, several times, and was told, "well I know it wasn't my fault so I can't tell you I'm sorry" or something like that, and, "we've been really busy". We leave in a few hours and now have to try and find last minute boarding for our dog. Quite possibly might have to cancel the trip for at least 2 of us. So no I don't recommend.

Jack and Riley loved their stay at The Animal Den!!! The staff and facility are top notch. The staff met and exceeded our dogs needs. They were all professional, personable and definitely had our dogs best interest at heart. The facility was clean and very well kept. Our dogs were bathed and ready for us when we picked them up. We won’t take our pets anywhere else!!! They even love their Animal Den bandanas.

The Animal Den has been taking care of my dog whenever I need to go out of town for over 7 years now. She is always happy to see us and appears to have a great time when staying. They have a grooming service as well which they do a great job. If your pet is used to a quieter home they have Deluxe suites which put them in a smaller quieter area away from the main group of pet guests.

We’ve been customers for around five years now. In 2021 alone our vet, who’s known our dog since he was 6 weeks old, expressed concern over how short he was cut. It had irritated his skin tag and rear end. We relayed these concerns to the groomer— incredibly polite and kind for the sake of our long-standing relationship— and received a typed letter from the groomer. In the letter she denies ever using a razor, and is incredibly defensive. As it’s obvious they wish to distance themselves via letter due to our polite concern and accusing our vet of lying, without deigning us worthy of a phone call, I find it only fitting to leave a review. It’s incredibly disheartening to be forced to find another groomer, especially during these troubling times. However, we have chosen to believe our vet of 8 years over the written letter of the groomer. I hope there’s a lesson on professionalism and empathy, though considering the controversy and the establishment’s response, I sadly doubt it.

Super unprofessional. This was our first time taking our puppy to get groomed and when I dropped her off the people seemed to be friendly and answered all of our questions. Although when we went to pick her up, we had multiple people telling us how she was the worst dog they have ever groomed. I did not expect for her to be easy since this was a completely new situation we put her in however I did not appreciate being told this. Our puppy has never had a problem with baths, towels, brushing, or even loud noises like vacuums. We understand we were not around to comfort her through this process, but being told they had to “corner her to catch her” was completely unprofessional and not just our dogs fault. A groomer should know the proper ways of handling all types of breeds when grooming them. Next time you have a difficult puppy or dog you might want to ask questions like how frequent do you bathe your dog? instead of telling your customers how horrible their dog is. We will not be returning nor recommending this place to any of our friends or neighbors.

These folks do an amazing job!

The Animal Den is where Diego Rodriguez Stafford spent many of his summer vacations while I was away exploring the world. It was the only place I trusted to take care of him for the 16yrs of his life. When his mom and I decide to bring another dog into our family, The Animal Den will absolutely be where we take him/her when we’re away on vacation. I look forward to reconnecting with all of the wonderful people who have become part of our family. Thank you guys for always keeping my anxiety levels low when leaving our loved ones with you.

We board all three of our dogs here. Ranging from a puppy to a very senior dog. Never had an issue of any kind. They always answer the phone when we call, explain everything, and even called us a couple times to just let us know everything is great. I highly recommend them and we will continue to bring Millie, Mac, and April here for boarding and grooming. Thank you animal den and staff!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Do NOT take your dogs here if you care about their well-being! Good chance it will end up with abrasions, cuts, possibly even infection!!

Multiple accounts have been made in regards to pets being injured and hurt during their stay without explanation or treatment by friends and family and when contacted they refused to provide any explanation as to why these injuries occurred or how they were sustained and ultimately blocked the caller. They are very unprofessional and for the price I would take your animals else where for the sake of their well being.

This is the only place we trust with our dogs. They are great people and it is a great place.

I’m disappointed with their billing policy and overcharging for services. Our dog was there for 40 hours, but we were charged for 3 days. Every other kennel I’ve worked with charges an overnight fee plus daycare fee. Our dog stayed two nights (Fri/Sat) and we picked up at opening on Sunday. I truly don’t understand how you can charge people 3 days worth of boarding for 40 hours of service. I really liked the level of care here, but we’ll be seeking boarding elsewhere.

I want to express how thoughtful and caring the owners and staff are at The Animal Den. If you’re looking for experienced professionals that truly care about the wellbeing of your pet you can rely on them to do so!!! My experiences here have always been first rate. Please know that they make your pet their #1 priority when in their care. Will and Mel have been doing this for over 20+ years because their hearts are in the right place for your family and pets! I have known them for many years and will continue to recommend them for excellent pet care!!!

If you value your pets life DO NOT bring them here. I repeat DO NOT bring your pet here. I, as well as, multiple friends/family have shared the same horrible mistreatment of our pets. You expect your pet to be loved and cared for however …

They take good care of our dogs !!

Everyone here is absolutely amazing! One of our boys was denied service at a bigger chain dog boarding facility 6 hours before we had to board our flight for being a "muzzle dog" (we muzzle him for his safety if anything. he has never harmed anyone. he's just so frightened of everything) after having multiple conversations about how my dogs have some anxiety about new people and dogs. We were completely transparent with everything. The Animal Den came as a recommendation from one of our friends and who knew it would be such a blessing! Their motto of accepting ALL dogs really won me over. People who think like that truly love and appreciate all animals and that's exactly how I knew they would take such amazing care of our fur kids. Copper and Charlie had a great 6 day experience at The Animal Den. As mentioned before, they do have some fear and reactivity to strange people, animals, and surroundings sometimes but when I picked them up they didn't seem so anxious and on guard anymore. They looked healthy and have been doing awesome since being home. For them that's a big deal!! No concerns what so ever. We look forward to coming back! Hopefully our boys will become more comfortable with the staff over time to where they can get some awesome pets and pats. Everything was great! The communication, quality, price, everything. I highly recommend! Especially to those with dogs like ours. They accept ALL dogs. Thank you so much to everyone at The Animal Den!! You guys validated our good boys and that alone did wonders for our spirits! This was a major win to these crazy dog moms. :)

I have taken my pomeranian to animal den for about 2 years now. I have recently added yorkie to our happy home. Tax(pom) Maizee(yorkie). We have never had a problem with this groomer. Beth has always been taz's groomer and he likes her. She is professional and treats taz with love. So she has a new challenge and that is Maizee. First haircut for her..SO Beth will do a great job in keeping her calm so Maizee looks good. Front end staff very personable, sweet, helps make appt that you need and pleasant to all who enters the salon. Will is very nice to and will make an effort to come to desk to talk to you or say hi from his desk....i would never go to another groomer. I make sure Beth is always working when their appts are made for next haircut. The pick up driver, don't know his name, was going to come to my vehicle to help me get dogs in together when taz had appt. Maizee was a baby. So kudos to the animal den . Debbie

The owners and staff at the Animal Den have loved my dog just as much as I do - since his first day at daycare. Such a great place and so convenient - an option if I am working for the full day or just want an option for a puppy play date. He absolutely loves going there and gets so excited when he sees the sign! Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place and the fabulous people that work there to take care of our fur babies. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
