Having the app makes things so much easier. I was able to scan my documents to begin a new claim. When they needed more notes I was notified. Even when I talked to a representative she was nice and understanding.

I bought PetFirst/MetLife pet insurance for my dog when we got her from a shelter at age 6 and I am so glad I did. We had some minor vet expenses in the first few years which were easy to submit to the claims department but then our dog developed a serious problem and I realized we wouldn't have been able to get the expensive care we needed for her without this coverage. Claims are easy to submit, my monthly premium is reasonable for what we get covered in return, and the customer service has always been helpful whenever I've called with questions or concerns.

I bought MetLife after our dog tore his ACL. They were the only company that would cover the other ACL (after 6 months) if it tore (there is a 50% rate of this happening if you've already torn one). No other company would cover it. At $4,000/leg to fix, this wasn't something we could risk. We mostly bought it for that reason, but our dog ended up needing a growth removed from his face for 1K. I followed the directions for the paperwork, and had my check in hand within the month. If you understand what the rules/regulations are for what is and isn't covered BEFORE you buy, AND you follow the directions for reimbursement, you should be good here.

I have used the app and called customer service when I had a question about filing a claim and the Met Life team was amazing. I had no idea my furry friend would have a problem but when he did it was a BIG one. Three visits to the ER vet cost a bundle. The documents can all be uploaded with the app.

MetLife has worked very well so far for our new puppy. I didn't think I'd need pet insurance, but this was the first puppy I'd gotten in years, having usually rescued adult dogs from the shelter. She's had a couple issues since bringing her home. I've had no issues submitting paperwork for claims and theres5 been no issue with getting claims approved. There's lots of options for ways to get the reimbursed funds. I give 4 stars because their mobile app is a little wonky. It functions alright, but there's definitely some glitches to work out. Overall MetLife I really appreciate you and your service - you've saved us a ton of ache for when she's had to visit the vet. Dot is well cared for. :)

Metlife has been great to us. My Joy was diagnosed with Congestive heart failure in August. They have been faithful to pay her bills on a timely manner. It has helped so much having it. Here she is on her follow up. Doing good.

I have had pet insurance policies with two (2) different companies. I have been much more impressed with MetLife. I am particularly pleased with the speed with which they honor (pay) claims for my dog.

My boy had surgery to remove a foreign object from his abdomen. I was reimbursed 80% for the ultrasound, surgery and exam. The bill was $4400, I was reimbursed $3400. Thank you MetLife.

The process is a bit tedious with metlife. However, now I know how and what to submit in the future. Finally got notified today that our claims were approved! I was worried but they lived up to their word. Now waiting on check. Would recommend!

Great customer service. Thoroughly explained the process and products. Even has an app to file claims. Unfortunately preexisting conditions such as allergies weren't covered.

I have been requesting that i speak with management and have been consistent with putting in my requests, its been nearly over 2 weeks and still to this day, no call from management. This has been an ongoing issue regarding my pets coverage, and the consistent failure to process the claims because they continuously keep asking for the same information they already possess. The lack of communication and the undeniable inconsiderate unacceptable unresponsive behavior displayed is unfathomable. They run the time alloted for the claims to be proceesed and deny the reimbursement because of it and then have to file an appeal. Waste of time. Do not purchase any type of coverage you'll regret it.
