We started bringing our dog here as a very young puppy. We were super pleased with our visits at first until our dog developed some stomach problems. He originally had giardia but continued to have recurring symptoms. The vet continued to test him for giardia which kept coming back negative, then ended up doing extremely costly X-rays, prescription food, exams, etc. All of these came back negative, all the while I continued to ask if there were any other panels they could perform. They said no, so I kept agreeing to these other tests. I finally got fed up with the thousands of dollars I had spent to be told there was no diagnosis and he just had a “sensitive stomach”. I went to another vet and they detected within 10 minutes that he had bacteria living in his gut, did a panel to confirm, prescribed him to antibiotics and he has been perfectly fine ever since. It’s been about a year and a half since this all occurred but it’s still sickening to me thinking about how much money we wasted getting unnecessary tests, and the vet telling me there were no other panels to do. I trusted the 5-star reviews and until we had an illness with our dog, we were very happy with this vet. They are friendly and easy to get into. But don’t trust them to accurately diagnose your dog with any health/illness concerns.

I unexpectedly lost my sweet 11 year old coonhound Jethro to cancer a week ago. Dr. Rueter was performing what we thought would be a simple enough surgery to remove stones from his bladder but when she got to it and saw that 50% of it was cancer, she immediately called me. Because surgery would not alleviate his symptoms or pain, we decided it was in his best interest to let him go in peace with love. She handled my sweet J with the utmost care and respect, giving me time to get to him and say goodbye. She and the rest of her staff could not have been more genuine in their kindness and empathy. Their condolences and stories amongst themselves about his story as a rescue, later shared with me, brought me so much peace. I decided to get him cremated and to get a clay paw print, but in the midst of everything I didn’t think about asking for an ink print of his paw for a tattoo. Today I opened my mail to a card from them, again expressing their condolences. Included, was an ink print of his paw and his nose. ???? Again, this entire staff is so incredible and will always treat your animal like one of their own. I have to give a beyond special thank you to Lauren, the vet tech who J always felt so comfortable with and refused to stop hugging me until I was ready after I let him go; you’re truly an angel on earth. And to the front desk girl who told me of her own hound loss, I thank you so much for your sweet soul. The world could use more like you.

i’m beyond thrilled with this place. i was on the search for a new vet after moving but i have a difficult cat who deals with aggression so i wanted to find someone more focused on that which was very hard to find. i looked up a bunch of reviews about dr. simpson and felt he would be a good fit. not only did he go beyond my expectations, so did the whole staff. they treated me with personal care, they remembered the problems i had with my cat and made sure she was comfortable and happy. she did so well at the vet and they gave me some actual knowledge for her and how we can help her aggression and other issues that i’ve been dealing with for years and years. truly, i can’t be more pleased with a vet. i would highly suggest you take your animal here if you want to be treated with special and individual care.

Dr Simpson is the best vet ever. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner to boot. Plus the staff is great. I have no doubt that our pets are getting the best possible care.

Best vet ever. Moved to Georgia and can't find anybody as good as them. Still call them from time to time, and they're always helpful. Reasonably priced too.

Dr Simpson is compassionate and skilled. I’ve had the experience of loss of a pet and starting over with a puppy. The office staff is so nice and easy to work with. Veterinary care isn’t cheap anywhere, so I go where I get great care and no pressure and never rushed for a beloved member of my family.

Cooper loves his friends at Monon Animal Hospital! We trust that he's in good hands with them. Their certified team is professional and reliable and also there to offer new pet parent tips and tricks. Cooper is a picky eater, and the vet tech gave us a list of veggies to start feeding him in order to get the nutrients he needs as a puppy. She went above and beyond for us! Plus, their online animal pharmacy makes it easy to order food and medicine to our home.

They really care for the animals and their owners, everytime I go there I feel welcomed and like my dogs are in good hands.

I've been going to doctor Simpson's since the mid-90s. He's very thorough and he's very nice. And he always takes excellent care of my animals.

Nikki was amazing! So friendly and compassionate. I was with a co-worker grabbing lunch next door. A dressing from a motorcycle accident had fallen off during my work day. Nikki was nice enough to provide me with a bandage to protect my wound. Being the owner of two kitties I will most definitely be bringing my fur babies here for their next check up! Staff is so kind and caring and seem to genuinely care about my pup. They love and dote on her every time we go in. Good reminders for yearly vaccines, Dr. visits, and needed tests. So happy I have this place for my dog's ongoing care.

I cannot recommend Monon Animal Hospital highly enough. They take the time to listen, and don't offer more services than necessary. Very reasonably priced, and incredibly friendly.

Dr Simpson is amazing with animals and their owners

A sweet old cat adopted me and needed medical attention because it was half-starved. I was referred to this place by another good samaritan and they have been amazing. I have been very stressed with dealing with a sick cat because I am not a cat person, but they have been very patient with me and are helping me nurse this sweet cat back to good health. They always take my calls and help me with any questions that I have. If you need a new vet, check them out because they are all amazing!

Dr. Rueter is compassionate, knowledgeable, and cares a lot. You can tell she is doing what she loves. She has cared for our dog and 2 cats over the years, and I trust her advice completely. She will be our family animal doctor as long as we live in Indianapolis. This practice accepts Care Credit by the way.

Brought my dog here today for a quick and simple procedure. The people were so incredibly friendly and welcoming! They were really great and I didn't have to wait long at all. Even though I'd never been there before and it was just a routine procedure, they made me feel like my dog was in great hands. Will definitely be back!
