They do such a great job with my "difficult" dog. My German Shepherd gets a bad rap at times for her inability to get along with other dogs (to say the least), but she is always treated fairly and compassionately. The girls at the front desk always love seeing Gretchen and my dog actually enjoys going to the vet, as much as a dog can.

Just moved to Indy and need to find a vet for our dog(Tonka). Tonka was well taken care of and the vet did a great job addressing our concerns. Got all his shots up to date and some helpful tips for the area.

City Way Animal Clinic is a classy, clean and friendly environment for you furry family members to go to the doctor. I love how they seem to genuinely care about all the animals they provide services for.

This place is a scam. I called and asked how much it would cost to get my dogs yearly shots and nails trimmed. Was told ot was going to be $250. When asked what I was being charged for and how much each thing was. The answer I received was "The owner sets the prices. For those of you that want affordable care for your fur babies I recommend you not go to any of these offices. If plan and simple you can't tell me what I'm going to be billed for then they shouldn't be open for business. I called another vet and was told it would be about $150 less. So guess what I'm no longer a client at this vet. I suggest you find another vet one that is more affordable. If I could've rated a zero I would've.

We brought our dog in because he was limping. They charged us $550 for an exam and some X-rays and told us they did not see anything visibly wrong with him. Two days later he was still limping, we called and were told to bring him in they would make it right. They charged us for this visit as well, frankly they did not make anything right. This isn’t the first time we have had an issue with this vet clinic. This will for sure be the last.

Best place to go!!! They evaluate animals very quick and get them back to you fast. The staff at the vet is also amazing. It makes bringing your pet to the vet that much easier.

The worst bedside manner I have ever received. The way you treat a woman who’s animal has just died is atrocious and you should be ashamed. To shame an animal owner for not coming in more often when the pet has had no signs of negative health and unkindly at that. I would not recommend any person makes this place their primary care vet. I would most definitely not recommend Dr. Squires to anybody.

To have to report on a poor experience with veterinary care breaks my heart, as I fear for what other animals have had to endure here. My aunt has had horrid experiences with the care offered at City Way. She has brought her cat in on a several occasions, a few of which I was present for, and has been treated with hostility, disrespectful bedside manner, and little consideration for the wellness her pet. City Way makes you feel like a burden when you bring your pet in with questions of concern, up charges for treatment, and seems to care more about squeezing money out of clients than actually caring for animals. My aunt’s cat recently passed away unexpectedly of unknown causes and immediately called to see if she could get an opinion on what had happened. Dr. Squires answered dismissively and with little empathy, not even addressing or expressing compassion for my aunt’s loss but rather implying it was her fault for not bringing her kitty in more regularly... Mind you, my aunt consistently had her cat groomed and checked over by City Way’s recommended groomer. Really disappointing.

Spoke with the receptionist regarding my senior boxer, he is 12. I was inquiring about a nail trim but she spoke with me so condescending and explained the location was a clinic. After speaking with the pet spa, I explained I was also pursuing a senior care plan, but would be choosing another option due to the condescending manner of the clinical receptionist

Most of the staff is really great and the location can’t be beat - but affordability doesn’t exist at this clinic. If you take your pet here be prepared for impact when you get the bill at the end.

I made an appointment at 11:20, the tech told me the dr was still with her other appointment. At 12:05 I went and asked how much longer, the front desk girl told me should would check and said something about my appointment being at 11:40. I checked my confirmation email and it said 11:20. I asked the tech when he came back in and he said it was scheduled for 11:40 but there was a note saying it was 11:20 but was never changed. When the dr finally came in she just rushed through the exam as fast as she could. I made another appointment but not sure if I'll keep it.

I love The folx at CitWay SO much. I am a first time dog owner and moved with my partner and 2 year old Mini Aussie to Indianapolis this year from Bloomington. Our boy is generally healthy, but has had a long term chronic issue. At our old vet (who we did love), we went through a lot of testing and money -not complaining, these are doctors after all - and eventually found out our sweet pup has a chronic pancreatitis issue. Luckily we caught it before permanent damage. Anyway, we had been trying to get it under control with different diets but he still had monthly flare ups where he’d be screaming and sad all day. Well, we started taking him to CityWay and we have been so impressed! Our vet took us seriously from minute one and actually printed out the most recent research on pancreatitis in dogs. She identified that his low fat diet might not actually be the best solution and instead prescribed a high protein diet and daily probiotic. We started the diet in July/August 2020 and our boy has had *maybe* one flare up since(March 2021). It is so relieving that our little guy is back to feeling good all the time. The vets at CityWay go above and beyond and they truly keep up with the latest in veterinary science. I recommend them to everyone, their pricing is pretty normal and they provide high quality care Thank you CitWay for figuring out what our pup needed ????.

Love this vet! Dr. V is so fun and friendly with my fur baby and me. I love that you can make appointments online so easily and they send texts and emails to remind me when my pup is due for meds and checkups. Also, as a part of a network, if you need to get your pup in quick but one location is all booked up, you can select a nearby location and they can help too with access to her records!

I recently switched from another vet provider to Fountain Square Animal Clinic and am so happy I did so. The staff is always friendly, the vet techs are so knowledgeable and kind, and the vets are awesome. They do such a thorough job and I can tell my pups are in great care. I plan to stay with them for the long haul!

I am always so thankful for the team at City Way Animal Clinics. We started out at MAAC and moved into Fountain Square once they opened as it's closer to home. The staff is always friendly and helpful and my dog never feels afraid to be there (until she realizes we're there for shots!). We scheduled our visit due to some skin allergies and itchiness but were able to take care of the yearly vaccines, get flea and tick prevention as well as a prescription for the allergies all at once, saving us time and money on another visit. We also received recommendations for diet and suggested procedures for the future but we never felt pressured to commit to anything. We were sent home with aftercare instructions and even had a follow up call to check on Peach the next morning and make sure there were no issues or questions with any of the medications. I am continually impressed by the professionalism, friendly and helpful attitudes of everyone we get to meet from City Way Animal Clinics and I'm so happy we chose them as our veterinariry team six years ago. Thank you, Dr. Phillips and team! ????

Cityway animal clinic in Fountain Square was amazing! My cat is older and gets very stressed going to the vet, which results in him getting a tiny bit bitey. This can happen even when he's in the best of moods , so I know it can happen and typically warn the vet. On his first visit to cityway, he was in a mood, but the experts at cityway took good care of him and gave him his vaccinations and physical exam. Because of his stress, they recommended we come back another day to do his blood work and provided a very mild sedative to help with his stress. We went back this morning to get the blood work done and he was in and out in a matter of minutes. He seems much less stressed and worried after this vet visit than almost any other visit we've had in the past. You could tell that the folks at cityway cared about him as well as making sure that their employees are safe, which I appreciated. I will certainly be going back for future visit and I know my kitty cat is in good hands.

I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt in most situations but our experience here was honestly unbelievable. We have been taking our 5-month old doodle here over the past 3 months. About 2 months ago, he unfortunately fractured a growth plate in his leg to which he received a splint in our hometown until we were able to visit our primary care (Cityway). We took him in a few days later to which they did not replace the splint. I took him in 2 weeks later to have the splint replaced, to which the vet ran more XRAYS and told me and tried to show me he was having no improvement. After she insisted on consulting a surgeon we were told he needed a $3000 surgery to heal his leg. I'd like to add I am not a vet, I just trust the professionals know what they are doing and have my dog's best intentions at heart. They put the splint back on him and sent me on my way with no further information, which I honestly thought was weird because she did tell me it was essentially not helping him heal. I noticed immediately he was more uncomfortable with the new splint as it looked very tight and he was not putting any weight on it like before, but I wrote it off as he was getting used to it. I also noticed he was chewing at his leg more than usual but no signs of pain. We had arranged to get a second opinion on surgery about a week after that appointment, when out of the blue he started yelping and screaming in pain one night. We decided to take him to the emergency vet, where I was shocked to be informed that he had developed a severe skin infection under his splint because the leg was not shaved as it was supposed to be before applying the cast and the tape at the top was taped to his skin- causing more sores and pain. The worst was on his foot where his sore was so bad you could almost see his bone- which was essentially due to the splint being too tight to where his nail was pressing into it his skin at the bottom. We were not informed by our vet that splints apparently need to be replaced weekly or such things can occur, but the emergency vet informed me of this immediately. Had we have known, we could have absolutely prevented this from happening, but we are not vets so we had no idea, this is also our first dog. I was also shocked to find out that this type of splint was actually not recommended for the type of injury he had, but it was placed on him anyways! The emergency vet decided to run another set of X-RAYS on his leg to see any type of progress, although I told them it was not needed because I had seen the vet a week prior. After further X-RAYS and evaluations from an on-sight surgeon- it was found he had been "mostly healed" and surgery was not advised before a year of age. We did call City Way to express our concern of what had happened to which our vet was immediately very defensive and RUDE. My boyfriend was more than respectful when speaking to her, given the opposing information we received. After expressing some of our concerns her response was, "Well unfortunately I am not a wizard," which quite honestly BAFFLED me, given what we had gone through with our puppy and quite honestly could have been completely avoided and there was no accountability. She did tell us the reason she didn't shave his leg before applying the splint was because we were supposed to have him in for surgery this Wednesday. Well- this all happened on Monday night and the sores, which I have pictures of below, did not develop overnight. We really put our trust into this place as new and un-assuming dog owners, but ultimately it lead to more damage to our puppy's leg than good. The only way I could describe it was complete negligence and laziness. For a cast he DIDN'T NEED and lead to an infection and a set of XRAYS- I paid $350, where as at the emergency vet I paid $325 for far more information, direction, and honest help to our dog. We will absolutely be finding a different Vet and I advise anyone else to do the same. The only good thing I could say is that the receptionists and vet techs were always very kind to us.

Communication is key. Attention to detail is key. Accuracy concerning our pets health is a priority. Pricing should reflect quality of service. We’ve used this vet as our “home base” vet when we cant get into the michigan street clinic. My dog had live moving worms in his stool that i dropped off promptly after noticing to this clinic. A stool sample lab drop off was $47. This vet is pricy, routine shots and exams can cost up to double to triple of other vets. Anyways, we dropped off the stool awaited results and because we physically saw the worms in the fresh stool I immediately headed to buy dewormer from the store. The following morning i received a text message saying the lab results came negative for parasites and to call if i had concerns. So i called because the lab results didnt correlate with what i saw. I was told by the morning desk person that i would be called back with more information about the results, the call never came (7hrs). So i called again, a different desk person answered and had no trace of contact regarding who would contact me, or when or even about what. So my “case” has been passed on to a customer service coordinator who i am now waiting to hear back from. So no communication whatsoever from a vet or lab tech who inspected my pets sample regarding my pets parasite infestation that I have seen. During communication desk attendants and Texting referred to me by my last name, is this trivial, maybe, but attention to detail speaks a lot. Mistakes happen and maybe this was one but, it isn’t the first slip up weve had at this location over the years. My dog has high stress associated with this location compared to our other vet and that itself speaks volumes. The two stars remain because the location is clean. The vets themselves seem to be gentle and helpful. But there are some bugs that seem to need to be worked out regarding the customers, pets and set up of this vet “chain”. The automated phone situation is unwelcoming and not fitting when you want to speak to someone at the clinic you called, waiting for a transfer, and is impersonal. **customer care followed up** She was pleasant and gave me the answers i needed immediately. Communication is hard, and the location is working on it. The added service of this customer care is a smart, And beneficial to the errors that were made.
