I take my lab and german shorthair for day care and stay n play. We have been very happy with the care our fur babies receive. They come home happy and in need of a nap.

I took my puppy to his grooming and nail clip appointment. He was returned scared, trembling and with a bruise on the top of his head. He was not like this before I took him. This experience till this day I have not taken him to a groomer. Horrible service and the nails they cut were not filled they were all uneven and scratched anything just by picking him up or walking. No stars at all!!!

Always, ALWAYS happy with them. They go above and beyond sitting in my baby's suite. He's very skiddish around strangers but warms up to them quickly somehow and I'm always comfortable leaving him there as they treat him like family. He let's them pick him up and plays with them. Trust me it's crazy how much he loves them. He normally stays in presidential suite but he's in a luxury suite (both are large for pretty much any dog) this time cause of last minute booking near Thanksgiving. If I need anything or forget something you get right to them when you call. Great job handlers!!!!

Love this place. Our dog always enjoys going but lives to come home.

My daughter brings her dog here sometimes and every time she boasts about how sweet and caring the staff is. She has a ‘reactive’ dog as they say there which (as she explained to me) means he can overreact in certain situations. Well I brought him in one day (I am watching him while my daughter is gone) and he seemed to have some anxiety. One of the staff members, I believe her name was Millee, approached him slowly and gave him lots of love and pets which calmed him down significantly. After that she took him back and he didn’t bark once! I waited for her to come back and she explained how his reactivity isn’t aggressive, that he is a gentle boy but anxiety can get the best of dogs sometimes. She kindly told me ‘petsitting’ would be closed for a little while, but she hopes to see him again. God bless that child! I’m counting down the days till I can bring him in!

Best place for one stop shopping for all pet needs ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff was not very friendly or even tell me how there stay way. When I went to pick my dogs up they didn’t have all of there items and I had to pull pictures of there scoop up so they could find it- in which we were sent home with way to much extra food. One of my dogs got sick from there as well. He came home and is having constant loose stool and refusing to eat. They said they didn’t have any issues with him, however he was having problems since I picked him up. They gave me no review on how there stay went I had to call and ask after I noticed the issues. I paid for a full service bath, dremel, and expression but I’m not convinced they got them. I called around 10 am to see if they were ready and they said neither of my HUSKIES have been bathed. But then call me 35 minutes later to tell me they are ready. When I picked them up they were not even damp. How do you do all that for two huskies who take forever to dry and they not even be damp. The whole stay seemed to have issues. I paid just shy off a 1000 dollars for them to stay there and had nothing but issues.

I originally called the location closest to my home which is on the southside of Indianapolis and asked for an indoor/outdoor run for my two medium size dogs. She pulled my animals up as I have previously boarded my animals with them and said I am sorry but at this location we are booked and have no indoor/outdoor runs. She instructed that they have a West location and I should try there. I called the West location and asked again for an indoor/outdoor run to board my two medium sized dogs together. She pulled up my dogs names and said, " I see that you have had an indoor/outdoor run before and we can fit them in together. I asked how much per day and she gave me a price of 29.95 per day with a multiple dog discount as well as a military discount. I told her I would need 9 days and I again said so it would be 29.95 per day which comes out to 269.95 and then 10% off that? I told her my total shows 243.00, is that what I am looking at, she said yes but we need up to date vaccination by the time you board. I got an email and had my Vet email them over. I called a week prior to confirm the reservation, price, and vaccination records were all in place and was told on the phone at that time they recieved everything they needed to board. We show up to board and they did not have an indoor/outdoor run. She had put them in a standard run which was really small for two dogs. My female would attack my male in a confined space like that. I don't board them separate because my female has high anxiety. She would be sick away from my male. If anyone knows about Belgian Mals, they know they are high drive working dogs and don't do well confined. So...the girl who took the reservation was there while we were checking in and told the manager she took the reservation and remembers it all so the manager was very nice and said she would move things around and place my dogs in an indoor/outdoor run #19. I asked to see it and she let me go back and see the indoor/outdoor run. I agreed to leave my animals for the week being assured they would occupy #19-Indoor/Outdoor run. They asked me if I wanted my dogs to have private play time or be placed with other dogs and I instructed them that I wanted private play time because my male can be animal aggressive. They placed my dogs with other dogs anyway while we were gone and did not follow my instructions. I am just glad nothing happened because my male can be animal aggressive. I called and checked on them throughout the week and were told they were doing well. When I would call and check on them, they would tell me about only Arianna and I would have to ask about Diesel. When asked, the girl made it sounded like they were not boarded together which made me worry about my female the whole time we were gone knowing how anxious she gets. We return home on a late flight that Monday 11 Oct 2021. I went to pick them up on the 12 Oct 2021. We are handed an 800 + bill. I asked the girl checking me out and she said this is what it came up to and I would have to talk to the owner. A Jordan Coffey came out and we went over everything and he said she made a mistake and I am not going to eat the cost of my employees mistake. I will meet you in the middle. I told him I want to pay what I was told I had to pay and he said well either you meet me in the middle or I can just charge you the whole amount. He chose to charge me the whole amount and not honor the rate quoted or give me a multiple dog discount or military discount. He didn't want to eat the difference but he expected me to after they screwed up from the beginning. My female was picked up in a frantic state and slept for days after I got her home and bathed.

This place is by far the best! Very caring and always try to go above and beyond! Been taking our Bulldogs here for years. The owners, Jordan and Christa are very responsive and have always tried to accommodate our needs. The staff is also very friendly and caring. We have, over the last 15 years had unprompted calls from staff and Jordan and Christa to put us at ease that our dogs were being well cared for. I would highly recommend this business.

If you have a reactive dog your only option will be to board them with outdoor access and hope they never become nervous/scared with Barkefeller staff. Our dog is reactive to strangers but we had boarded him here and brought him in for dog sitting previously without any problems. We recently took him in to be temperament tested for daycare. I was called ~2 minutes after dropping him off saying that he snapped at 2 staff members and he couldn't be handled. I go back to pick him up and he's obviously worked up but not actively barking or snapping. My only guess is that he was approached way too quickly to put his daycare collar on (and by multiple people) and they did not bother to give him a chance to calm down or even try to have any patience approaching him. We were told to bring him in another day to try again when he wasn't so worked up but now, he's basically blacklisted from anything other than boarding with outdoor access because "they cannot handle him". I just can't understand how a dog facility of such caliber and high praise doesn't know how to work with reactive dogs and to come to the decision within 2 minutes.

This was the first time we had ever boarded our fur baby, and barkefellers west was amazing!!! They took great care of her, the place is very clean, and the staff is very friendly,helpful, and caring!

Made me feel like family. Took great care of my dog and called to give me updates. Camera available to check on my dog anytime. Great experience!

Sadly, the customer service at this location is lacking. When I dropped my dog off, I was told pick up was at 7:00 PM. The day of pick up I called to confirm, learning that pick up was actually at 6:00, but I needed to be there by 5:30 PM. I reached out two and a half hours before check out to share that I might be 5 minutes late (6:05 PM). I was told that there was nothing that could be done. Despite being a returning customer, the staff could not offer any support and charged me for another day. I will not be using this company again, and would not recommend Barkefellars for anyone looking for a friendly, accommodating pet-lodging option.

I take my dog here often, and they remember her from week one and love seeing her. They update me and she seems to really like it there, which is all I care about! Thanks Barkefellers for giving me a place I know I can take my dog to that she will enjoy. Also, their prices are good, there are several options and they are all friendly whether an early morning drop off or late night pick up.

My 3 year old newly adopted rescue just finished up Dayschool here, and it was absolutely amazing! Everyone is so nice and the facility is so professional, but most importantly Sierra trained my boy by playing to his strengths and showering him with compassion. I used to work at a local veterinary clinic, so I knew Barkefellers was a nice respectable place, but I didn't know if they could teach an adult neglected dog new tricks. Sierra certainly did that while building his confidence and helping him adjust to the spoiled-with-boundaries life. He was also groomed on his last day of school and that service was also amazing and competitively priced!

Left my dog here for one night for vacation, gave them instructions on how to feed him his food due to his messed up stomach (just have to mix a wet and dry food nothing too complicated) and they didnt even do that causing my dog to not eat and come home sick.

I have taken my elkhound here since he was a pup. Groomers do a great job and the shedless treatment is the bomb!

My dog stayed for seven days and came home with kennel cough sicker than I left healthy dog there ! Not happy and I paid for the service . She has all her shots and up to date. Why did she come home sick??

They take such good care of my puppy for daycare and boarding!! He loves them all!!

The staff is very caring and take good care of our dogs. The only reason for 3 starts is the last 2 times we have had our pups there they came away with kennel cough. The owner has addressed the issue and paid for treatemtn, but the poor things had to go thru 2 weeks of coughing.

Left Luna with Barkerfeller for a week, had access to a camera to watch how she was doing. My dog is overly attached to me so she pretty much sat in a corner for a week. Staff did a great job and did their best to get her out of her shell. I give them 5 stars, Luna on the other hand would give them 0 stars is she could and wants to go on vacation with us from now on.
