This rating may change after my appt. On 11/1/21. To start they told me they had no routine appts until end of November. I asked if that was so they could pressure customers into Emergency visits that cost more. Then was offered appt. On 11/1. I will report back with my experience and to change to my final rating. Update: great staff and service; not to pricey, as well.

This is the most pleasant and amazing vet’s office I have ever experienced. Everyone is sooo nice and reassuring and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!!!

I am unhappy that I have to even write this about this office. We’ve gone here with all of our pets for a long time, our beloved Cosmo was just put to sleep a week again and they helped us with the grieving process and we’re still grieving. But now we have to find another vet to take our remaining pets too, one who has cancer and is 16. They really let us down by practically kicking us out as customers of 15+ years. It really upsets me that we were treated this way, I don’t think they understand we’re still grieving Cosmo. We didn’t need to be told to find another vet to go too not even a week later. I can’t say that I’m thankful because after all this time, we were just thrown out like trash. I appreciated all of Dr. Lee’s help and care, but I can’t say I’m to thrilled with Dr. Huntemer’s work. She has constantly made me feel stupid and talks down to us like we’re children. I know life isn’t fair but neither is making up lies about my family to the point we get kicked out. I will say thanks to Dr. Lee and some of the techs. But I can’t say I’m not crying writing this.

Our pets have been treated at VCA for 15+ years. Of late, their service and followup have been very poor. They seem to have a difficulty keeping a consistent treatment team. Our 16 yo cat has been sick for almost 2 years. She’s Hyperthyroid & on a special cream that’s compounded by a pharmacy. Recently it took VCA technicians a day and half to call in a refill while the cat suffered. Dr David Lee is very compassionate and supportive. Dr. Huninger is arrogant and very slow.

We followed Dr. Lee to VCA Sugar Grove a few years after he left his former practice. Dr.Fruit had become our vet but when she left the former practice we had to go to Dr.Lee. He had been our baby Maddie’s vet as a puppy and for several years. We were happy see Dr.Fruit too. When we had to say good bye (she was 15 1/2 years old), Dr.Lee and the staff were so kind to us. It wasn’t easy but being with Dr.Lee and staff helped lessen our sorrow. When we got our new pup in January Marci, everyone was once again kind and had taken great care of her each visit. We also like the Care Club plans. We had the senior one for Maddie and now have the puppy plan for Marci. It is a bargain for our doggie’s care. We live north of Broad Ripple but its worth the drive. Thank you for the care you give us.

The doctor and techs were so kind and friendly. My kitten Levi was loved and well taken care of by them. As a new pet owner, I felt like they really were good about addressing any questions that I might have as well as informing me of my options and next steps I should take in terms of Levi's care.

I had my Great Dane put down 02/08/2020. The staff was great. They explained everything that was going to happen step by step. Angel the receptionist was so kind. As well as the tech. I wish I could remember her name. She was so sweet. Dr. Lee came in and told me what to expect and everything he told me was on spot.I laid on the floor with her. They gave her a sedative then he told me they were starting the process. It happened so fast and so peaceful. She just went to sleep in my arms. They let me stay with her as long as I needed. And told me to let them know when I was ready. I felt like we were the only people they cared about at that moment. She was 105.8 pounds. I called another place off of 37 (no name mentioned) and it was going to be almost $800. They were Less than half that. I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience under the circumstances. I will only go there for any pet needs from now on. Thank you Sugar Grove for your kindness towards me and my furbaby will forever be greatful ???????????????? sincerely Cheryl Franklin and Bella

I've taken both of my boys here for the passed three years! They are easy to communicate with, and actually care about your concerns and your pets health. I have always liked them and recommended them, but our experience yesterday pushed me to write this review. Because of COVID restrictions, we stay in the car but they come out and pick up your pet. We let them know ahead of time that he might nip at them. So they take max in, and they brought him out saying he was nipping at them. So they offered to sedate him at another time, but we didn't want to do that. So they brought the muzzle and tools they needed outside and allowed us to put the muzzle on him and even hold him still while they took his blood. Max did amazing after that, and we were able to get everything done in one visit instead of having to sedate him. We have had bad experiences at other vets, so their very kind gestures were/are much appreciated!! It puts us at ease knowing they care about our babies just like we do!

I cannot express how much I love bringing my dogs here! This clinic is always so accommodating, and they have helped me out of a pinch numerous times. Recently, one of my dogs had a case of loose stool right before a road trip. I called in and was able to get something for him same day! I will be hard pressed to ever go anywhere else! Always stress-free visits!

The staff here is always friendly and helpful. This visit was for my cat because we believed he had an UTI. The vet gave him antibiotics and he quickly recovered and is really happy and healthy too. Love this place!

I've gone to vca for my dogs check ups and shots and they were super caring and great with them. You can tell they love what they do and really care. I had to take my dog to a different vet to be put down and they had everyone in the office sign a sympathy card and mailed it to us. They were so supportive and we really appreciate their thoughts and kind words. It was very touching and we highly recommend them. They go above and beyond.

This location and the staff are absolutely amazing. We started coming here 4 years ago and have been a member since. The receptionist recognize our dog and are very excited and courteous and so kind on every visit. We absolutely love Dr.Lee, what a professional and trustworthy doctor he is. We only have Dr. Lee help our dog and schedule to his schedule. He keeps us at peace at mind and never trying to take money from us or request unnecessary test, procedures or what not. Our dog is very comfortable and relaxed with all the staff and loves visiting. Keep it up team, we love coming here.

I would never recommend them ever again! Very pricey, costing me $748 on xray's, blood work and radiologist. Xrays alone were 5 times what it would cost a human for the same xrays! Overall all a total waste, and critical exam required to monitor weight to see if fluids were reducing, but returned and they didnt document the previous weight so they had no idea if the medicine was working or not! My dog died 6 days later!

Wanted to send in a fecal sample and they told me I would need to bring my dog in for an exam before I could submit the sample. Come to find out the exam was $58 and then they told me that I could submit the sample for another $48. The exam was subpar to say the least and lasted in total 13 minutes (only saw the veterinarian for maybe 5 minutes.) I saw the assistant more than I saw the veterinarian. The vet was very nice and kind, wanted to point that out but, both acted fearful to look at my German Shepherd which is unprofessional considering I’m at the vet and that’s their job. I’m pregnant and had to get down on the floor to hold my dog steady while they checked him out because they asked me to. The vet didn’t have much to say besides the fact that he looked healthy and didn’t stick around to answer any of my other questions. He said he would be back and the only one that came back was the assistant with a treatment plan and estimate for the teeth cleaning they said he didn’t need? I won’t be back to this location.

They charge you like banks....they fee you to death. Because they can. They know you love your fur kids and will pay. Just about anywhere else will charge less and provide the same care. Drive a few miles outside of the city...really...you are just paying for convenience.
