Make sure you get an estimate of cost BEFORE they even touch your animals. They will scam you with every hidden cost they can. I went in and was told my cost for my two dogs would be 300 dollars ALL TOGETHER for a spay and an annual. They mentioned the laprascopic procedure would cost 120 after i asked. When it came time to pick the other one up from surgery they told me it was 600 dollars. They failed to tell me that the cost of the surgery was 200 dollars and an ADDITIONAL 120 dollars for the laprascopic procedure. When I called to tell management what was going on they were rude with me and believed their employees words over mine. They lied to me and were rude, I DO NOT recommend this vet to ANYONE!

Very busy at 8 am Monday, so wait was over 35 minutes to get checked in, but people were very friendly, and the place is clean.

My husband and I have been taking our oldest dog to CKVC since we moved to Georgetown nearly six years ago. Dr. Weakly was phenomenal and showed compassion towards her and us when she presented with severe allergies and no one could figure out how to treat it. We love Dr. Weakley and have had an excellent experience with Dr. Mobley in the past. This past week, our 1-year old Ausiedoodle got into some of my medicine. I called the emergency line, as it was after hours and got the voicemail twice before anyone called me back. I was told to call Animal Poison Control before coming in (I was on the phone with them for 30 minutes, delaying any care), and of course they told me to take him straight to the vet for assistance. I called the vet back to let them know I was returning, voicemail again. Upon getting to the clinic, they gave him an injection of anti-nausea medication, charcoal to bind his stomach and the contents in it, and sent us home. Dr. Xu was the Vet on call; she made me feel like my dog was perfectly fine upon sending him home, telling me to monitor him and call if he gets lethargic or hyperactive. I live 10 minutes from the Vet and as soon as we walked in the door, his legs collapsed from under him. The medicine he ingested raised concern for central nervous system changes so I called the Vet back, yet again, getting a voicemail. Dr. Xu called me back and advised me to go to MedVet in Lexington, as "there was no one there to monitor him overnight." We have had an emergency visit in the past, where overnight monitoring was offered and available. Don't advertise 24 hour Emergency Services if you don't offer it. This is where my frustration comes in because not only did Dr. Xu charge me nearly $400 for that emergency visit; she sent us out the door and advised me to take services elsewhere that she could offer. My dog did require 24 hour hospitalization and we had to pay a bill triple that. So thank you, Dr. Xu for our terrible experience. We will not be back to CKVC.

I had an emergency visit with my 16 year old maltipoo and they were so compassionate with my baby cause he has weak legs. Wasn't too expensive either for the visit and the medicine

We have an American Bully named Selena that was Pregnant and she was having Contractions and although we could have had a Natural Labor we always like to ensure the Safety and Health of our Bullies as they are like Family and when she started to Nest and Pant we knew it was coming so with just 1 Call after Hours when we explained our Emergency they came Immediately and got the Job Done very Quickly and Safely in no time! Some Pro’s they are! Mama and Pups are doing Great and we are Very Appreciative! Thank you all soo much????????

We brought our cat in as an emergency because he was having trouble breathing. Front office staff was very kind, vet was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us and their prices were really very reasonable, especially for an emergency visit. Would highly recommend.

Simply the BEST. As a client since 1992, I have watched CKVC grow, never changing from the empathetic, top flite professionals who truly care. All of the vets and staff have hearts of gold. Your pets/kiddos deserve this veterinary office and you will find none better!

The service is good, the quality is good. My issue is that I never get the same vet! Every time I get a different doctor, unless I request the same doctor and then I’m stuck on his/her schedule for an appointment! And the prices are outrageous! Most expensive in Scott county by far!$$$$

Was in Lexington for dog show, needed emergency care for lame dog. Got correct diagnoses, but minoxidil is only a temporary fix. Doctor was very pleasant and knowledgeable, if I lived in the area I would probably use this clinic.

They are polite and professional. I enjoy coming here. My only gripe is I had asked about my dog's appointment earlier this year and they didn't know at the time. I had to find out via text or email when he was next due for a shot.

If you are looking for a compassionate, responsive, reliable veterinarian that isn’t all about the money…DO NOT USE THIS ONE!! After going to this vet for years with multiple animals I made an appt. to have my 16 year old Labrador euthanized. The appt. was made on Friday July 16th for 10:30 am on Saturday July 17th. I paid in full for all services and cremation, at the time the appt was made. Upon waking on Saturday and realizing that my dog was in the active stages of dying and suffering terribly I called Central Ky Vet to ask if she could be brought in earlier, as I didn’t want her to continue suffering so. I was told to bring her in at 9:30 am. I arrived at the clinic at 9:25 am, checked in, and was told someone would be out. I proceeded to wait in my truck for over an hour with my dog in the back seat. I went inside three separate times and begged someone to come to my dog’s aid…no one came! Then I was informed that, unbeknownst to me, they had cancelled my original 10:30 appt.! Still no one came! Finally, an off duty vet happened to pull up. I explained to him what had occurred and pleaded with him to help my blessed dog. He went inside, gathered the necessary supplies, and within 5 minutes my dog was out of her misery and pain. My dog laid in the back of my truck for an hour and a half actively dying, in excruciating pain! When all was said and done, I received not one single apology, no mention of a discount of the services I had already paid for…much less a refund, and after calling once I arrived home to obtain all records for all of my animals I was rudely hung up on by Sheila. Furthermore, the exact same experience occurred with another of my dogs less than four months earlier at this same vet! There is simply no excuse for the blatant lack of concern and compassion that both I and my dogs went through. The lack of professionalism, and shear incompetence of this clinic is staggering to me! To be traumatized to this degree and to have my precious babies to be treated so inhumanly is simply inexcusable. My precious “best friend” of 16 years did not deserve that! Please, if you love your fur babies and want humane, compassionate treatment…DO NOT GO TO CENTRAL KENTUCKY VET CLINIC! Save yourself the heartache and grief! No one should experience what I have!

Due to neglect and not one but TWO misdiagnosis from this clinic we lost a very beloved member of our family, our 6 year old French bulldog Eddy. After taking him to Central Ky 3 times in a span of 24 hours (4 times for the week total) we ended up having to take him to a different vet, just a couple of hours after leaving Central Ky, where he died within 30 minutes. He was originally seen and misdiagnosed by Dr Tritsch on Monday as “potentially” having an abscessed tooth or sinus issue. He assumed this only from a brief physical exam and did no further diagnostic testing feeling that it wasn’t necessary. He was sent home with pain meds and an antibiotic. He became extremely ill on Friday and was suddenly having issues with his neck, seemed stiff, didn’t want to walk and was throwing up. This time he was seen by Dr Fuller who told my husband that Frenchies “are a dramatic breed”…… He diagnosed him (again after physical exam ) as having a slipped disc in his neck, gave him something for nausea and sent him home with steroids. He didn’t even want to do xrays to verify anything and said we could bring him back the next day for xrays “if needed”. By that afternoon Eddy was still miserable and we couldn’t get him comfortable so back to CK we went. This time they said Dr Fuller was going into surgery so we couldn’t see him. He did stick his head into the room long enough to tell my husband that they were going to do a laser treatment and oxygen therapy and then Eddy should be good for the night. No explanations or discussion. At our request to speak to someone before taking him home, they sent in Dr Mobley. (Due to covid restrictions I was there via speakerphone.) He seemed very nice but you could tell he didn’t want to step on toes since he wasn’t the treating vet. At my request and conversation about not understanding WHY we were waiting, he agreed to do xrays for us and offered to give Eddy a shot of Torb to help try to make him more comfortable throughout the night so he could rest. He reviewed the xrays with my husband and said they looked fine. He mentioned that if we couldn’t get him comfortable that we could take him to another clinic in Lexington for pain management. The torb did help Eddy rest for most of the night but he woke up early crying. He was also throwing up and we couldn’t get any of his meds in him. So we called CK and asked to bring him back to try to get something else for nausea and maybe another laser treatment. The lady who answered the phone when we called to check in from the parking lot was extremely hateful on the phone (I believe her name was Colleen) and told my husband that the “tech schedule” was full, that he was being worked in and that he wasn’t even on the list for another 30 minutes. Luckily a tech came right out to get him. As my husband lifted Eddy from the truck he threw up. They gave him a laser treatment and another shot for nausea. Again, we had to ask to see a vet and again Dr Mobley was sent in. My husband explained everything again and even told him this time that we thought he possibly had seizure like activity but that we weren’t sure. We were then told that the meds could have caused him to look like that. WE had to ASK for Eddy to be given IV meds since he couldn’t keep the oral meds down. WE had to ASK for him to be given subQ fluids since he had been throwing up so much and wasn’t able to drink water. WE had to ASK if they could send him home with nausea meds so we would have them if we needed them. He was STILL throwing up foam when he left their office. He threw up multiple times IN their office AFTER the nausea shot. They were unconcerned. We brought him home and tried to make him comfortable. He was still miserable and throwing up foam. At this point my husband called another vet and explained everything. She was VERY surprised that that they didn’t at least want to do stomach rads to rule out a stomach issue since he couldn’t keep anything down and recommended we take him into another clinic where he died within 30 minutes.

Great place for quality veterinary care. This isn't the least expensive practice in the area but the price is extremely reasonable for the quality of service. I am always able to get appointments quickly and they truly care about your pets quality of life rather then just trying to sell you services. They have all of the latest equipment on-site should your pet require complex treatment.
