You need to read this before you take your animal to this place. First, let me say we’ve been taking our pets to this clinic for many years. They’ve made them better and we had to put some of them down and we’ve always been happy with the service. THAT CHANGED THIS YEAR. We have a dog and 3 cats. This year, one of our cats had some broken teeth that Dr. Jones said needed to be extracted. We took the cat to have the surgery done and that’s where the problems started. We received a call that morning that they weren’t able to complete the surgery because they found a heart murmur and they were also having trouble bringing the cat out from anesthesia. They kept him until the end of the day and said we need to take the cat to a cardiologist to have the heart murmur checked out. Of course, they charged us what I thought was more than what it should have been, especially since they didn’t do anything. Based on her recommendation, we took the cat to the cardiologist and he told us that the cat did not have a heart murmur but, in fact, when he looked at the documents supplied by Middendorf, it was clear that they had over-dosed him during the anesthesia and almost killed him. Since we lost confidence in the clinic, the cardiologist recommended that we take the cat to a vet that specializes in dental. We did and the surgery went without incident. What makes this more unprofessional is that the vet who botched the surgery at Middendorf apparently didn’t know that the cat was over-dosed, she was incompetent or she out-right lied about it and tried to hide her mistake. The cardiologist said he was going to talk to the owner about it. We expected to hear from the owner but no response. This place should not be in business and go here at your own peril.

We are new to the area, but really lucked out with Middendorf Animal Hospital. They take great care of our dogs!

They were considerate and respectful with having to put down our dog along with giving us all the time with him before it happened

So far the staff is great. My dog has terrible allergies that we think are getting better now that we are in KY. Dr. Middendorf helped settle those concerns and also provided us a diagnosis and plan of a ton for our dogs cherry eye where our previous vet in another state, stated it was just allergies.

The needs of our cat are treated professionally and we are always given personal consideration. We know she is given the best care possible.

These people are amazing with your animals and you yourself ourselves whatever had to take my dog to get a rabies shot and a checkup and I did not even see the doctor give him his shot he didn't even act like he felt it so super quick fast and very very good with your animals highly recommend

Middendorf animal clinic cares about the well being of my pets as well as my concerns for my pets. They are reliable and make time for emergency situations. When I needed to put one of my elderly pets to rest, the genuine concern for me was overwhelming and appreciated. I would never entrust anyone else with my fur babies again after coming here.

We were so impressed with Dr. Middendorf and his staff. You can tell they honestly love what they do. They make you feel very comfortable and they explain everything very well. Dr Middendorf is very easy to talk to and its very obvious he has been doing this for a long time. Our dog does not like going to the vet and both the vet tech ( I think her name was Julie?) And the Dr. were so good with her, she was better with them then at most vet visits.They will be doing surgery on her in a week and I have complete confidence in them. We are completely sold on Middendorf Animal Hospital and its staff. They truly deserve their own reality show. They are that good.

My dog is an absolute 15lb drama queen, she hates to be messed with. They have gone above and beyond to make sure she's comfortable and can get the help she needs. Wonderful staff and doctors. We highly recommend them if you gave a nervous animal.

I completely trust the the staff. Everyone is nice and is so good with my cat. They have also helped my parents figure out a major health concern for their cat when they moved to the area. I don't think I can recommend them enough.

Took care of my Great Pyrenees. He had a hot spot. Needed antibiotics and Steroids. Jasper like him and we where in and out in no time. Will definitely be our new vet. Prices where great.

I took our 9 month English Bulldog, Rip, to Middendorf for an extensive hernia repair and to remove an undescended testicle. They were able to get us in quickly, and I could not be happier with the care they gave Rip! I have recommended them to several of my coworkers already!

while I have used Middendorf for many years my last experience will be my last. our Dauchund broker her medicorpal boon in her foot. I took her in an the put a splint on 4 days later it fell off I called left message it was the weekend but still felt they would've monitoring. not the case no call back. I was expecting a call Monday for sure but again "crickets" so I called the office later they were not aware of the issue but said I can bring her in later. having a broken bone requires action. when I got there was told I could not come in. this boy added to my frustration we waited until they discussed it. Finally agreed to let me in. then Dr Jones has the audacity to blame my dog for short lags as to why it came off. after 4 weeks and $700 later the splint came off but she is still limping and can not put weight on her foot and leg. very disappointed.
