I took my dog here, he had a severe allergic reaction to food. They got me in on the same day I called. I didn’t have to wait long once I got there for them to take him back for evaluation. The staff was very friendly and really worked with me when it came to deciding what I needed/could do financially. They were more patient than I could’ve asked for. I’d highly recommend going here if you have an urgent need for your pet.

I have to thank every person at VetCheck Pet Urgent Care Center in Fishers for their kindness on such a difficult day for my family. On December 4, 2021, we brought our three-legged Osteosarcoma survivor, Bear, to them, as our sweet 10 year old Labrador had finally developed cancer again after nearly 5 years cancer free. The staff was so gentle with us when we called to make his euthanasia appointment. They explained the entire process to us more than once during the procedure. They gave us precious time with our beloved Beary to say goodbye, to let our 3 year old give him kisses, and never once did I feel rushed in the process. They had all sorts of cremation options and let us browse those at our own pace. Not to mention, they were incredibly gentle with our boy, who has never liked vet clinics, but was for the first time in his life completely calm at a clinic. The doctor was empathetic and apologetic for our loss, and I could tell we all genuinely mattered to him. He even apologized to our sweet boy and thanked him for spending his life with us. They gave us two vials of his hair so that we wouldn't have to leave without something of him. It was easily the hardest day my husband and I had ever experienced together, but the staff maintained a level of compassion and care that made my worst day a little bit more bearable, and that matters. If all of their patience, kindness, and gentleness wasn't enough, we received a sympathy card in the mail about a week later that was signed individually by each staff member. It brought me to tears. I will never forget my experience with this WONDERFUL group of people. Bear was our best boy, and always will be, and the end of his beautiful life was done so well because of these people who are clearly passionate about the animals they serve and the pet parents they help. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I will never forget how gentle you were with my first baby.

Staff was kind and professional. Just wish that regional decisions to have customers be inside the facility had been arranged by this time, so that the smiles of the professional staff could be appreciated. The news we received lead us to a decision to have our pet put to sleep very suddenly. The inside attention and smiles may have provided additional comfort.

The last place we wanted to be the day before Christmas Eve was here but I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They were so quick to get my pup in, examined, treated (which included sedation) and ready to come back home within 2 hrs. Madison (I believe her name was, I don’t remember much bc I was so overwhelmed) but she was the tech and could tell I was upset, overwhelmed, stressed and worried and she reassured me multiple times and I felt so comfortable leaving my pup with her. We did a follow up today with my regular vet and she even commented how great it looked. I’m thankful for such good work by the vet and everyone who showed compassion and patience with me and my Pup!

Our dog had an urgent need to be seen, with bites and bleeding wounds from another dog. VetCheck was the only Vet who could see our dog quickly throughout the Indy area, due to the holidays. They were FANTASTIC people, excellent care givers, and did an awesome job. AAAA+ care. Thank you very much!! Our dog is healing well.

We were able to get an appointment within an hour of them opening for the day. The staff were friendly and were great about keeping us in the loop about what was going on. They were upfront about costs and the vet recommended a conservative stepwise approach to treatment that was very appreciated (and didn't leave a giant hole in our wallets). Overall a great experience and I would definitely bring our cats here again in the event of needing urgent care. Thanks!

I believe VetCheck gave my dog great care, but not sure as they won't let you be present during evaluation of your pet. Sadly, along the way they aggressively tried to tack on extra expenses. Please be aware of these practices when taking your loved one to their facility. A slight deviation in liver count, is to be expected for my 12.5yr old pooch per my normal vet (within the ok spectrum), that the over $200 pills VetCheck sold me were not needed if I didn't want to continue them. In all, I'm glad I got the blood tests, so my vet could see them as quickly as possible. The doc was nice, but became insulted when I declined "additional costs", opting for my regular vet appt that was coming up in 4 days. The staff was pleasant. Pet care is very expensive, but someone trying to nickel & dime you on top of that, makes it rough when you're in the middle of an emotional event. The fact they held on to my credit card for over an hour while I sat in my car, awaiting blood test results, was unnerving as well.

We have never been to VetCheck before and they treated my husband and I with such kindness and understanding for our concern for our dog Buddy Boy.. The entire staff including the Veterinarian, kept us informed and showed concern.. they gave us diagnosis and how to care for him then checked on his progress through follow up calls.. we can’t thank them enough for all of the support and kindness!!!

Great care for eye problem for our cat!!

They were amazing! Fair prices (especially since I had to come on a Saturday same day I called!) They were very professional, treated my baby so good, and were up front and honest about everything. They aren't trying to scam you out of more money. Matter fact they told me my baby was fine, when they could've lied and told me something major was happening because I wouldn't have known the difference. I'm VERY thankful for these people. I would highly recommend taking your animals here.

VetCheck was so good to my dog, Chewy. They took excellent care of him and were patient with him. I definitely recommend this facility.

I was looking for this type of review before I visited VetCheck so that I understood the process. After the initial exam, the Vet will come talk to you about a treatment plan. There will be several services listed (probably more than is absolutely necessary), but you as the pet owner can decide which services you want your pet to receive. My initial list of services was $900 and after I decided what I absolutely wanted done for my dog, it was just over $300. She came out looking and feeling so much better! The wait on a week day evening was about 2 hours. Hopefully this is helpful to someone else!

Our dog was hit by a truck and was badly injured in his hind legs. The care provided was okay...and the staff was somewhat empathetic. The real issue we had is that this system takes advantage of those in a crisis mode with their pet. I believe that any reputable company would give an assessment prior to racking up at $2,000 bill for just over an hour of services rendered. We had to euthanize our dog that night which was painful and emotional, so why take advantage of this process and highly inflate the bill. I would never recommend anyone taking their pet to Vetcheck due to their lack of integrity.

Took our dog to vet check because no one else could get him in quickly. I felt like a lot of options were over priced but considered it was urgent an the only option so felt like the only hope.. But what really bothered me was when they charged me for euthanasia and cremation that we were considering before it happened. We took our dog home, alive, and when I called them to tell them we wouldn’t be back that’s when they told us they had already charged me and our dog is listed deceased on their records. That sits really wrong with me. Why such a rush? Maybe wait at least til the needle is in his arm?? This place is very inconsiderate. The heavy flow of animals coming in shouldn’t get in the way of the compassion you should have for people coming to you as a last resort. I was finally refunded. Took seven days. We took our dog somewhere else. He didn’t make it but they attempted the surgery and did a cremation and test — all of that was still cheaper than two X-rays that vet check did. This place should only be your last last resort.

Very kind and caring staff. The doctor was amazing with my ole girl. They had many treatment plans put together for me to choose from. Sadie was happy to go with them and didn’t really want to leave at the end. Thank you very much taking good care of my pooch and getting her the treatment she needed.

I brought my kitten in to get antibiotics for a likely respiratory infection. The service was quick and the staff was so kind. I was expecting a very high cost for the treatment, since it is an after-hours urgent care center, however I felt that the cost was actually reasonable. Katie is my favorite vet tech there! Thanks for helping my kitty feel better.

Twice, our dog has dislocated his kneecap after hours usually about an hour). During the height of the pandemic, they came to our car, and took our dog inside. While that meant we couldn't be with him, everything was pretty fast. Their care was appropriate, their follow through was kind and my dog is ok. Is the price high? Sure but it's an after hours emergency facility. It would be for humans too.

I took my special needs dog here this morning for a last minute illness and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. They treated my pup with so much compassion, and they were so thoughtful in their treatment recommendations. The doctor even kept him for an extra 30 minutes to watch how the medication affected him. I am so grateful to them and my pup is already feeling better. I recommend them 100%

I was recommend to come here from a veterinary ER center. They had an urgent care appointment opening available a few hours after I called, cared for my cat well, and made sure I understood how to treat my cat with the prescriptions they sent home. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and caring. The day after my visit they called to check in and make sure my critter was feeling a bit better which was a kind gesture. The itemized bill they send out after the appointment helps makes sense of how quickly costs can add up, but I feel overall they were very reasonably priced. I would fully recommend them and use their services in the future!

We were able to schedule an appointment within an hour of calling. The doctor and staff were very polite and informative. Nitro especially enjoyed Kristen's attention. I would highly recommend this establishment for your urgent care needs.
