We've been clients for 10+ years. We've been sensing that we've been increasingly nickel and dimed every times the dogs need anything over the course of the last couple years (ever since Dr. Hubner left), and this morning's experience is the final one we'll be having with them. On Dec 22 we scheduled a first grooming appt at VCA for 7:30 this morning (Jan 10). 3 weeks passed since we made that appointment. We got a text Friday at 4 that they have to have 180 dollars worth of doggy flu shots to get groomed. They had 3 weeks to tell us that but didn't. So I called this morning before dropping off and was told they also need exams!! Add 69 dollars per dog (Both of our dogs have been seen there within the last 4 months). I asked them to waive these requirements for this appt because the dogs really need groomed and the notice is far too short. They wouldn't do it. Looks like we now need a new groomer and a new vet! I can't find anywhere online to file a complaint and seek a resolution, and this morning's phone conversation ended with a condescending sing-songy "Ok ma'am, have a nice day," so google review it is!! And I see on other reviews that public retort is how they address complaints- these are clients whose contact information they have if they wanted to resolve issues.

Dr. Cross and his entire team was excellent during the care and surgery of our Gizmo. We cannot say enough amazing things about all they have done for us. We are so grateful to them for everything they did for Gizmo and our family! Thank you so much Dr. Cross and team!

Great vet. Horrible company. Over charges often and the VCA Care club is not transferable between locations. Ie you move you're screwed.... that should be their slogan. We decided to pay the month to month until the recent year of care club was paid off, but our card had to be changed and we didn't know that care club was on it. It wasn't until two months of unpaid "services" did they make actual effort to get ahold of me. After that they had charged $50 per late fee. So their real intent was to make an extra $100 bucks then when explaining the issue to the location. They said I'd I wanted to attempt to get a refund on the late fees the. I would have to call another number. Very disappointed. You should help a small vet family company instead of this corporate greed machine. Very disappointed because the vet came highly recommended. And they were the one that encouraged the care club.

I got my dog from a rescue and she is literally my soul-dog. She’s perfect for me. And our bond was immediate. At first I loved coming to VCA because I felt like they were so thorough even tho it was pricey. We had the annual plan. I noticed there was a bump on her tail and we paid to have it drained and tested to see what it was and it came back as a benign tumor so I let it go. Over 3 years it grew and started rupturing. So I took her to a different vet and opted to have the mass tested again. Her tail had to be amputated and it came back malignant. I’m so upset because I let this go for years trusting the first opinion and when I asked them about it growing they said that was normal and never tested it again. Now, I don’t know if it has spread or if that 3 year time span would have been important to her care to get ahead of a bigger issue. It’s heartbreaking.

Gentleman was very rude when I called to cancel. Care club membership increases in price every year and they do not call you to inform you. This place is way too expensive. My dog has an attitude and is very vocal. Many times the vets would make me bring him back another time to get all the work done such as shots, tests, and blood work. It’s not easy to get time off work for these appointments. I don’t see why they couldn’t get everything done during one appointment. I guess they didn’t want to “overwhelm him” ????. Will be talking me pet elsewhere. My father also canceled when they tried to pull his cats tooth for $1,600. Outrageous!

AMAZING staff, vet tech, vet you guys are ROCK STARS. I can't thank you enough for truly taking the time to find out what was wrong with my Bruno. I had 1yr insurance with Banfield that was my first mistake poo samples and many vet visits and not one time did banfield vets figure out my baby boy had a colon issue. I took Bruno to VCA cross point on Friday and found out my boy has a colon issue. VCA figured it out on the first visit and put my boy on the right diet and meds. I'm so grateful to the entire staff there at VCA. Bruno's experience was great he enjoyed the attention and playing with your staff. I was able to get an apt immediately that was super awesome. Sadly I'm moving in 4 months ao I'll have to fund a new vet but before I move to AZ Bruno and I will be back for a check up. Again thank you so much.

I am in town visiting and had to bring my baby to VCA Fishers for an ear infection. This place is the BEST! My first encounter was with Nikki, the office manager. She would be the one to get Maddie all checked in for her visit. I could just hear the warmth in her voice. She was so patient with me as I asked several questions, never making me feel rushed or like I was annoying her, very professional. I would then be greeted at the door by sweet Tracey, the vet technician. She took good care of us, while we waited a minute or two for the AMAZING Dr. Mercer to arrive. I promise, I am not exaggerating when I tell you this lady is absolutely amazing! She is the best! I can say that with confidence, as I have encountered several Veterinarians since becoming a pet parent. Maddie also suffers with anxiety. Dr. Mercer took the time to listen and acknowledge my concerns regarding her condition, assuring me that Maddie would be fine. She printed off a wealth of information for me to read, as well as sharing her experience with other patients that suffer from anxiety. If you're looking for a Veterinarian, look no further! Dr. Mercer and Staff, I wish you all the best!

I cannot express how amazing everyone at VCA Cross Pointe Animal Hospital is. They went above and beyond. I have a Boston Terrier that is around 1 about to be 2 in December and he has been going here ever since I got him at 12 weeks. He absolutely loves seeing everyone here and they treat him with the utmost care. Recently he went in for his annual exam/shots and a few months ago he had an allergic reaction to one of the injections that was given so for his most recent exam they wanted him to be monitored in case another reaction came too with one of them. It did just so happen that he had another allergic reaction which is very scary, but they were wonderful throughout the whole process! They kept me updated and would call and text me. What was wonderful is that they were very transparent with all costs and added exams. They asked me before they ever did anything. Dr. Mercer even took it upon herself to reach out to me and let me know that he had an allergic reaction, but that they were continuously monitoring him. I have the VCA membership and it was a real lifesaver yesterday without that it would have been extremely expensive. Being apart of that membership included all the extra steps that were needed since he did end up having an allergic reaction. I just can't thank them enough for being so caring and transparent. My dog is my baby and I know that when I take him there he is always in great hands. I know that they will answer any and all questions that I have. I think the greatest thing is they texted me today to ask how he was doing! They truly do care and want what is best for all animals.

I arrived at the hospital right at closing immediately following a visit to Petco for grooming where I was informed that a copy of my pets records needed to be put in file. A customer service rep named Matt informed me that they were already closed & the registers were already closed down. I informed him that I only needed a copy of my pets records forwarded to the groomer @Petco. He pulled up my account, verified my pets and asked me for a fax number. I didn’t have one so he looked it up and gave them a call. They answered and put him on hold for a good 10 minuets. Mind you VCA was closed there are closing duties that must be accomplished prior to closing. Matt didn’t for a second shift out of his professional role of providing excellent customer services. He had to leave Petco a message to call him back on Monday with a fax number so he could forward the files. Great job Matt you deserve a Gold ⭐️ for your performance! Thanks! DAH

sufficient details and careful treatments. Dr. Mercer is the best you want to turn to and Niki their manager is the most careful and considerate person. They have provided great help.

We recently moved to the area and set up appointments with Dr. Mercer at VCA Cross Pointe. She was very patient, thorough, and kind in her interactions with us and our dogs; and explained the pros and cons of various treatment options. The entire staff was very courteous and gentle with our dogs. They were also knowledgeable about preventive care regarding vaccines, flea/tick/heartworm recommendations, and more. I will definitely be continuing to take my dogs to Dr. Mercer and the team at Cross Pointe!

This place is a scam. I’m not sure why I didn’t learn the first time, but, this place overcharges and does things without approval so you’re stuck with a surprise bill... not like you can get your pet back without paying it. I’ll never take my puppies here again. Do not let them push you to spend more money. A groom that should not have cost more than $75 ended up being over $200 because of all the extra things they “needed” Take your pet somewhere that actually cares. Other places don’t do this.

This is one of the best veterinary hospitals! The vet techs and staff absolutely LOVE animals. They have been taking care of my Pugs for years and always greet them by name. The doctors are wonderful especially Dr Mercer who recently joined their family. She is honest and takes the time to explain all the options and treatment plans. Both of my Pugs were recently scheduled for surgery and Dr Mercer called me before starting surgery to discuss new concerns she discovered as they prepared for surgery. One of my Pugs she advised me to wait and referred me to a specialist. With my other Pug again she called while prepping him for surgery and took the time to explain everything, including new risk concerns. He had his surgery and his favorite vet tech sent me a picture of him recovering in her lap snuggled in a blanket. The vet also texted me to say he did wonderful. Compassionate Care sums up the best. The cost is fair and always given to you before treatment. They treat your fur baby like family, with love

Dr. Ryan and Co. was excellent with my dog, who I was very worried about bc he’s not good with ppl AT ALL. But they are took time to work with him to make sure he and I were both comfortable and I was super impressed. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be going to them until something changes. So thankful to them for doing such a wonderful job. Also, prices for standard services were very reasonable as well.
