This wasn't my 1st choice on places to take my 2 new cats only bc I've never been there. Thing is, other places near me aren't taking new patients due to staff & Dr shortages. I do like the place, the staff, & The Dr. A bit on the high side in costs but I do believe they know what they're doing. I needed to get my 2 new cat rescues established at a vets in case anything happened. This is a good place

House Vets for House Pets is very poorly run and managed. My research has also proven their prices are up to 3 times more than other vets in the area. My dog had an appointment scheduled to get his teeth cleaned and when I showed up, they said they didn't have them on the schedule. I have the email confirming the appointment date and time. The lady on the phone that I spoke with was extremely rude and condescending. She blamed me for the miscommunication even though I have proof of the confirmed date and time. I have already taken both of my dogs from there and signed them up with another vet. I would NEVER recommend House Vets for House Pets to anyone!!!!!

Ive taken my pets here for over a decade. Dr Cat is knowedgable and honest and kind. I worked at a vet long ago, so i get behind the scenes as well. If you are new or looking for a change for where you take your nonhuman family members, please try this clinic. I simply have too many GOOD things to say about Dr Cat and her team.

My dog loves going to this place for day care. Staff are great, you can tell they care about the animals that visit there. The doc is great too.

We boarded our dog for a week at this location. I downloaded the app hoping to see live videos when I wanted to check on him and that was not an option. Worried all week about him. The day we picked him up, he was acting strange and was gagging. We called to find out if anything had happened. We were told he did fine all week and there weren't any issues. It was awful the way he was breathing, gasping, snorting. They suggested we bring him in but I was told it would cost $145.00 to be assessed. I am upset they didn't contact me to tell me he was acting like this. If they are professional and involved, someone should have called to tell us something was wrong. We called our own vet and took him to get checked and found out he has kennel cough. Our dog thas always been healthy and never had any problems. We understand he got kennel cough from being there and even though he had all his shots, that was a risk. But, he's never gotten it while being boarded at other facilities. I'm not even upset that he has kennel cough because I realize it's not their fault. I am upset that they never called us and it was VERY OBVIOUS he had something wrong. Gasping, snorting, gagging to point of getting sick. I'm so sad he has had to suffer and they neglected to help him. Just be warned.

Great staff and vets. Not overly expensive. Everyone is incredibly nice, supportive, and friendly!

Instead of doing what’s best, they’ll always do what makes the most money. They are also completely incompetent. Fill prescription through chewy to save you money? Nope - must get from them for double, sometimes triple the price. So tell me, why won’t you fill prescriptions through chewy? Are they more incompetent than your circus? I think not.

We have been using House Vets exclusively for our dog's care and boarding for almost 15 years. This is an excellent veterinary practice that I recommend highly. The staff and the owners are professional, patient and very loving towards our dogs. They have also accommodated our specific requests on several occasions. Our dogs are as comfortable when they are at House Vets as when they are home.

First & foremost, thank you Dr. Cat & staff for seeing Nutmeg as quickly as you did. A little background first. Nutmeg adopted us back in 2002. A beautiful Himalayan with a robust personality and always eager for mischief and play. With only a minor health issue 2 years ago, [allergies}, she has, fortunately, always been the picture of health. She jumps on the bed EVERY morning at 5:30 and put her chin under mine and lifts my head to announce "it's breakfast time". If that fails she then proceeds to do a "Led Zepplin" drum solo on my chest to remind me "who owns who". Somehow my wife escapes this pre-dawn ritual but that is another story. She loves ping pong balls, crunchy, crackle paper, her fish tanks, [yes, we bought her 2 aquariums] and the list goes on. However, around mid January 2019 her demeanor and appearance started to change. Last week, she stopped eating for 3-4 days and was barely taking in water. She even stopped using her litter box since she wasn't taking in food. We thought because of her age, that it was probably getting close to [that decision] we all dread. We called House Vets for House Pets to schedule an exam a.s.a.p. We took her in the next day and during the exam, it was discovered that she had lost half of her normal weight, was now blind in one eye and suffering hearing loss. We were preparing ourselves for the worst news possible, and then after the blood test came in, it was determined she also suffers from feline hyperthyroidism. Our dear friend was losing on all fronts. We were crushed. Now to the point of this review.and why we recommend House Vets for House Pets. We all want the same professional, caring treatment for our pets that we expect for ourselves. I grew up during a time when people used "word of mouth" to help those looking for products or services that would benefit their lives. Today we "write reviews". Since we live only a few blocks away, it is geographically convenient but more importantly, the entire caring, professional staff and the medical services provided by House Vets, are above the industry standard in all respects. Dr. Cat, [yeah, cute nickname huh?] calmly addressed all the possibilities, conditions, treatment etc.for Nutmeg's disabilities and illness. Along with her outstanding professionalism, she also provided us, the support we, as 'pet parents" needed at that time. Dr. Cat helped even further getting Nutmeg her prescription, by contacting the local "compounding pharmacy" allowing us a head start on the required medication. The next couple of days they kept in contact with us to check up on her progress Now, a Nutmeg update, 5 days later 2-10-2019 The night we brought her home she moaned and moaned, she would take little bites of her food but not enough to ease our worry. Now... Nutmeg has the appetite of 2 cats. Her attitude and health are improving, (although she woke me up at 4:30 this morning). So, if you have a pet and are looking for a great Veterinarian with a great staff, we recommend House Vets for House Pets. Thank you Dr. Cat, Nancy, Becca & Lindsie, (she's going to be mad if I spelled that wrong) and everyone at House Vets. Without you, we would be, without her.

Very expensive, the only thing affordable is their free shots for life program. The vets and vet techs are really nice, but the vets spend less than 5 minutes with the dog. They are not upfront with their costs, and often times I have …

The entire team has always been fantastic to us the past 9 years! I have a Boston Terrier who adores them! She has had extended stays in boarding several times and I will continue to happily let her stay at her HVHP 'home away from home' with her loving humans and furry friends. I've utilized Vet, Grooming, and Boarding. GO TEAM! :)

Same as previous review two weeks ago. My dog has always been healthy, came home with coughing. Called and asked, they said it had been going around. They didn't seem to care and said it was a risk I should have understood. They should have warned me ahead of time that other dogs had been contagious. Now they are trying to charge me for antibiotics and other medications when they got my dog sick. They don't care about your pet, they are in it for the money.

Have been seeing Dr. Kat for many years. She is great with our dog and shows that she cares about the overal being of our pup. IMO they go above and beyond with their service. Sadly we have moved out of state so she is not our regular vet anymore, however when ever we are in town we take our pup to see Dr Kat, as we trust her above any other vet.
