I've only had positive experiences with Sweet Dream House. This rescue is incredibly caring. They go above and beyond to help animals in need. Animals that have already had a human fail them. And they do this as volunteers, oftentimes facing time sensitive situations. I admire the time they spend for the passion of homeless or neglected animals while dealing with unreasonable humans in the process. I highly recommend this rescue if you are looking to add your next family member

Tamara was one of the nicest ladies I've ever met! It's very obvious how much she cares for these animals. We have found not only 1 but 2 furever friends thanks to her! Thank you so much! Highly recommended:)

Sue was very rude and had a large attitude in a situation where I needed understanding and patience. I explained to her my situation and she said it was “fishy”. Not worth the calls. Find another rescue agency.

As a foster and an adopter from this organization I simply can't say enough good things! The fosters have a large amount of say about the homes the animals go into as they are the ones that have gotten to know the animal and its needs... As an adopter, they ensure that the animal will get along with your other animals if you have any to help ensure a happy home for everyone. That's just the tip of the iceburg of the great things I could possibly say! Will definitely be fostering and adopting from them in the future!

I have personally watched this rescue bend over backwards trying to help as many animals as they possibly can, what makes it harder is they do not have a facility to board or hold animals, all their rescues are to live inside the homes of volunteers who give up so much to help them find the right homes. They fully vet everyone of the animals and what may seem like a thousands of questions about the future homes, those questions serve a greater purpose, to insure that each animal has a permanent home, and to not be subjected to being abandoned, or lost once again, and they take back their animals should it not work out . This rescue stepped up to the plate and helped me find homes for some kittens after I took in the several pregnant cats at one time and fully vetted them myself. I couldn’t have been happier with this non profit organization, they help so many animals, yet people don’t seem to realize that they have a small number of volunteers to help so that means they are limited on how many animals they can help. This organization is ALL VOLUNTEER BASED. Because of their willingness to help me, I have turned around and helped them by opening my home to foster for them for the last 3 years . For those who left negative reviews don’t truly know what goes on within the rescue community, many places have you fill out questionnaires for adopting and contract’s, and what may seem like rudeness to others is truly not but only the strength to ensure the animals in their care are going to homes that are truly right for them. Owning animals doesn’t always mean that they received the proper care, nor that one knows how to properly care for the animals. Animals are expensive and require regular vet care and their is always emergencies that may arise. I praise this organization and all of their hard and endless work. I stand behind this Non-profit rescue organization, I have spent over 20yrs of my life working in the animal industry and with my experience I can say I know what they are doing and doing it well.

I called and spoke with Sue. I'm 6mths pregnant and being hospitalized, had a very hard time finding shelter for my 2 children let alone my dog. Speaking with her was a very stressful part of this process. If it's not my health or having to give up taking care or seeing my babies having to deal with the course of finding a home for the dog on short notice, definitely just not helpful. She was rude and judgmental of me not having a back up plan for the long term commitment of having a dog. I hope this "rescue" can get better customer service and hopefully have a better resource training for the event of turn away process.

Speaking to Sue very much so offended me. I called to get help rehoming my dogs and Sue was very rude and unprofessional as well as unhelpful. I would never do business with this company. Instead of helping me rehome my dogs which I don’t want to do, Sue decides to yell at me and hang up on me. Some customer service.

These women were so condescending and rude. I shouldn’t be surprised looking at all the negative reviews clearly this is how they do business. Would give zero stars if I could.

I was referred to Sweet Dream House Rescue when a sweet stray showed up on my porch several cold nights in a row. Not planning to keep her because we already have 3 kitties, Sue and Tami returned my calls quickly and provided a wealth of information to assist me in finding a home for this kitty. Talking to Tami, I knew she would ensure this sweet kitty found a good home based on the thorough questions she asks. I have not seen anyone pour out as much blood, sweat and tears caring for the lost and forgotten furry members of our community. Sweet Dream House Rescue works to ensure each animal they rescue finds the right, safe, loving home. They are a jewel in our community and heroes to the animals they save. We ended up keeping the beautiful kitty that found us; Peaches is a wonderful addition to our family!

While I did not adopt or try to adopt from this rescue, I did interact with a couple of the volunteers at a petsmart. The volunteers were extremely rude, judgy, and condescending. They had a know-it-all arrogance about them that was extremely off putting. They may be a great rescue and really care for the well being of the animals, but be prepared to have them patronize you and make unwelcome comments about what you “Need” to be doing or using for your dog. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have been involved with plenty of rescues and I have never met one with volunteers that were as smug and insulting as this one.

I put in an application to adopt a sweet dog from Sweet Dream House Rescue. I live on 1.5 acres so plenty of room for the dog to run around and play. I work a lenient schedule that would require the dog to be home along for MAYBE 3-4 hours each day. I received an email today saying that my application was denied because I don’t have a fully fenced in back yard... this seems very extreme and ridiculous. I would make for a perfect home for the newly adopted puppy but cannot even get a chance simply because I don’t have a fence. Why advertise that you’re trying to find a loving home for these dogs if you have so many application requirements and hoops to jump through? I would’ve left 0 stars if possible.

Would give zero stars if possible. Tried contacting them several times and communication was confusing, contradictory, rude, or nonexistent. The only reason why I persisted for a time was I really started to feel bad for the animals under such incompetent care.

This rescue works hard to place the right pet in the right home. We have adopted three dogs and two cats from them and each one has been a great match for our family and lifestyle. The volunteers are direct and passionate and take extra care to make sure each match is just right.

I have adopted a dog and fostered for this organization. They do great work and give all of the dogs a fair chance. As a foster I am happy to dedicate time to their cause!

I've both fostered quite a few dogs with the rescue and adopted two dogs over the years and always had a good experience.

It is a sad day at our house. Twelve days after our rescue dog Lena joined our family, we brought her to the vet appointment that the dog rescue group designated to have her spayed. Yesterday I met the rescue group representative to pick up Lena after her surgery, to pay her, and to sign the contract. To my disbelief the price was “triple” what they quoted us twelve days ago. Mark and I tried to plead our case, explaining what they told us and the fact we paid $400 for a purebred AKC registered Boxer, why would we pay almost that for a undocumented mixed breed? Our pleas were in vain. They flat out refused to honor the price we were quoted at the adoption event, saying we misunderstood. Unfortunately, we had nothing on paper. I asked the rep for her the agency name and she responded by flinging her business card at me and then threw my credit card at me. Not to mention any names, but stay classy Bonnie! Once we got home Mark pulled up the rescue organization online and it seems we are not the only hopeful dog parents to be screwed over by them! We honestly wanted to do the right thing by adopting. What a bad taste they have left in our mouth. The worst part was leaving Lena. I hope and pray they find her a good home.

I have adopted two wonderful dogs from this rescue. A small terrier and a year later a one year old 75lb German Shepherd. Both dogs were fully vetted, healthy, and exactly as they were represented. We have been blessed! I was so pleased that I now foster for them. They are a small rescue but work so hard to save as many animals as possible. Even during Covid-19 and not able to have adoption events they work tirelessly to get animals adopted. Highly recommend.

I had originally left a negative review because the cat I adopted was sick with no vet records and the process of adopting her was pretty disorganized. However, the head of the rescue, Sue, called me and was very kind and apologetic. They corrected the causes of the issues I had and I would no longer hesitate to adopt from this rescue again. Thank you so much Sue!

They came to pet smart for dog adoption on Saturday. The ladies were extremely rude to the dogs. There was 1 who peed a lot in his cage, clearly from someone not letting him out. A dog started barking and one of the ladies working from Sweet Dream House Rescue started screaming at it in front of everyone.

I just had similar problem trying to adopt a dog. Got denied because they said vet doesnt have record of me. Talked to vet this morning. They never contacted vet. They seem more worried about letting you know they are volunteering than helping match up animals to a home. Not friendly. Not helpful.
