Nice and clean place, it’s my regular store to buy things for my little kitties

I have to admit I’m upset. Called to set up an appointment for my dog for doggy daycare and while they lady on the phone was extremely nice. What came next was shocking. “Due to the breed of my dog (pitbull) she wasn’t able to be around other dogs. She would be alone in a room or crate and would get half an hour of time for the worker to play with her.” I thought okay maybe this is common with all new dogs until they get to know the dog. Nope! She told me that due to the breed my dog wouldn’t ever be allowed to be around other dogs, because pit bulls are so dangerous. My dog is the most calm dog ever. She was literally attacked by a golden retriever and didn’t even defend herself. She lays down when she gets near other dogs. It’s upsetting that somewhere that claims to be an expert in animals and animal care would treat dogs based on a stereotype instead of evaluating each dog individually. The store is very nice and employees are all very polite but an animal store that doesn’t care about the actual animal is tough to support

Nice store, kept very clean & has very knowledgeable staff! Had concerns about my new fish tank and the guy talked everything through with me and was incredibly helpful.

The doggy daycare is awesome! We needed a place for our dogs for the day last minute and PetSmart was so accommodating! The dogs had a great day and were so well cared for. We will definitely come back!

I regularly come to this PetSmart for crickets, and often and left partially unsatisfied with service but today I had Andrew the store leader. He was AMAZING and gave me great tips for storing crickets and feeding my bearded dragon. Great decision by corporate to make him store leader.

Booked two dog grooming appointments 6 weeks ago. Got an email confirmation. Showed up for the appointment and they decided to close on Tuesdays. No email or call. I spend over $2000 a year at Petsmart. No more!

I took my Newfy for grooming already 4 times and every single time I was amazed with the job the ladies have performed definitely 5 stars!!!!

Petsmart is expensive, while it does have a good selection, the heavy prices far out weigh the benefit of selection.

Worst experience ever, I had an appointment early in the morning to drop off my dog, when I got there, right at the front door they had a sign with a number to call for early appointments, I stayed in my car and called that number I keep calling and calling the number, but no one answers my call, while I’m calling 2 women arrived with their dogs. A worker comes out and get one of the woman’s dog when I see that I decided to get off my car with my dog and wait for them to get him, another worker comes out and gets the other woman’s 2 dogs, the worker sees me and walks inside, thinking that someone might come out for my dog I wait outside, but no one comes out to get him, after 9 minutes waiting I see a worker going inside so I just follow her when I get to the desk there was a sign saying that due to the pandemic there’s no desk service, I waited for 7 minutes and no one comes out, I decided to go back outside and ring the bell for someone to come out I waited 5 more minutes, but no one comes out, I go to my car and called the number numerous times and again no one answers so I left some voicemails, I decided to call one last time and finally someone answers, I told her my situation, she asked me for my dog’s name and then she says “I’m sorry but you have to wait a little bit longer because we’re really busy checking in other dogs. REALLY?? I drove 40 minutes, and don’t think is fair. I DEFINITELY DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ????????‍♀️

Pretty good selection and they do a decent adoption program.

It was the worst experience that my pet has, she enters to have the comprehensive exam, vaccination and parasite control updates, cut nails and I never saw my down with 7 nails with the worst cut almost all the nail, this insane if they did this I don't know how they treat my dog inside, she not stop of suffering the pain that she received inside. I also had the experience of being the worst hospital when it needed they don't want to receive her and I had to push them in order to be attended to. I sincerely not recommend put your lovely pet on their hands.

I was really disappointed with Petsmart grooming services. I usually take my dog to a private home but I was in a pinch and needed to get him bathed and his nails cut so I decided to give the Vernon Hills Petsmart a chance and I will not be returning. Not only did I feel like "just a number" to their process/services, I also felt like the groomers didn't care at all about how I like my dog washed/groomed. They completely destroyed his nails! I also felt so rushed when I picked him up that I forgot to tip the lady who washed him. I am in the service industry so tipping is something I don't take lightly. Also, when they called to let me know that he was almost done they told me he didn't like the blow dryer so they didn't blow dry him and he was in a cage drying. They also said he didn't like the teeth cleaning so they couldn't do much (that was a $12 add on). For a $55 grooming it was not worth the price. I am gonna give him another bath next week and blow dry him because he actually enjoys the blowdryer and sits next to me while I blow dry my own hair and lets me put it on him. I wish I could get a refund.

3 hours for a puppy bath and they weren't even done after 3 hours. I just told them not to finish and give me my puppy back. They way over book their groomers and I think they just stuck my puppy in a cage for 2 and a half hours because how long does it take to bathe a puppy? Girls are nice but Petsmart way over books them

I recently went to Petsmart and I must say that everyone is very helpful and willing to answer your questions regarding pet ownership. I feel very comfortable coming here and shopping for all my pet needs.

I have used these tags for several years on multiple dogs. We hike a lot in the woods and the tags get tested well. I love these tags, they are clear, readable and durable. Prompt service and easy to order too.

There were some adorable kittens up for adoption and the volunteer Russell was so helpful! The adoption section is not a part of of Pet Smart directly. We do shop for pet food and supplies at Pet Smart. They are priced competitively and have a pretty decent selection.

I love this place! They always have what I need for my dog and my fish.
