Anytime that my dog Shadow is sick, Dr. Julie gets her in immediately. My dog LOVES going to see Dr. Julie even after 3 knee surgeries and a tail amputation. Thank you to you and your incredible staff.

I had an emergency involving my new puppy (seizure scare), who had an established Veterinarian at this time, but was refused by everyone except Troy Veterinary Clinic who said to come immediately. Upon arrival, Julea was waiting for us to arrive and got us into a room without hesitation. Tori was the first tech to help my rattled nerves and assure me Howie will be in good hands and after meeting Dr. Mears I knew she was 100% correct. Dr. Mears is a phenomenal veterinarian and I feel blessed to have her caring for my “son”! The Monday following our Friday visit I was surprised to receive a phone call from the clinic just to check on my puppy, Howie Lou. Since then we have meet more of their amazing staff and Corri took amazing care of us at today’s visit! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I have had the absolute best experience with this clinic! It’s nothing like the others I have been to. They staff is lovely and always so good with my girls, treats them like they are their own! The vets are wonderful as well, Dr. Mears caught something my other vet had missed and it may have saved my sweet cats life! Thank you Troy Vet Clinic, I’ll be a life long customer.

We were new to the area and wanted to find a vet closer to us and we picked the right one that’s for sure! Our dog Newton loves going to the clinic! The staff are always so enthusiastic and caring. We’ve only been up a few times with our pup and the girls up there make us feel like family. Can’t wait to take our new kitten in to see Dr. Julie soon.

We recently had our lab neutered through you guys and have gone to you for many other quick visits. Stellar job keeping up on COVID measures and being very professional all around!

Personally I’ve never been here but as soon as I seen one of their vet techs post a video of a dog neuter. It was unsanitary (no sterile gloves, not even a head cap, just a blade and they weren’t even wearing a mask) and unprofessional. It was quite upsetting because that’s someone’s pet/bestfriend and they’re letting their techs post that on social media.

Very Professional and knowledgeable staff!! They treat you just like family!!

Our dog has been there on 3 occasions. When they quote the cost it doubles at check out. The vet has never spoken to me, even when I have requested to speak to her. I have never met the Vet. The last and final visit the checkout person quoted a huge bill, then when questioned she said " oh my error " They have not been able to give any straight answers when questioned what the culture showed and what the next treatment plan would be. How unfortunate that our beloved pet has not had his issue resolved after 3 visits for the same compliant and bills totaling 765.00. Just beware and question the bill before paying.

I was really displeased with the lack of communication and compassion for our cat when he was nearing end of life. He was too weak to go through a major intestinal biopsy surgery to confirm cancer, but Dr. Julie refused to even try treating him with any chemo drugs that had the potential of helping him simply because she didn't have the biopsy. The only option she gave us was euthanasia. When I begged the tech over the phone to ask her to reconsider, I was told they would get back with me and that's the last I ever heard from their office. I took our cat to a different vet who agreed with me that he was too weak to undergo surgery and was willing to prescribe a chemo drug as a last resort before euthanasia. They also gave him pain medicine and anything else needed to keep him comfortable, which Dr. Julie's office never offered. Dr. Julie is skilled in treating animals, but as others on here have pointed out, her office definitely seems to be more concerned with how much they can earn rather than offering compassionate care when it's needed the most. At her office, a nausea shot for our cat cost $40 and that same shot at our new vet cost $8.20.

I am absolutely disgusted with Troy Vet Clinic. I've been a customer of theirs for all my pets for the past 3 years after moving to Troy. I've given countless dollars to them for shots, medicines, routine visits and a surgery or two. My cat started to show symptoms that things were not right and we took her in. They explained they needed to do a whole scope of tests to find out what was wrong with her. This was all totaling to $1,700.00. I explained to them that I lost my job in April from COVID and then had to become a stay at home Parent during the eLearning until September and just finally getting back on my feet financially. I asked if I could make payments over the next month since I get paid weekly. They said no. I drained our accounts, sold a few items and had $1,300.00. They said this paid for the blood test and surgery to put a feeding tube which was their main concern. The only thing it didn't cover was an ultra sound. I asked them again if they could bill me for only the ultrasound and I will pay for everything else right now. Again they said no and that the ultra sound wasn't necessary right now and I could wait another week to have it done. Well 3 days after taking her home from surgery our cat passed away in her sleep. Turns out the most important thing was the ultra sound and the surgery and blood test did nothing for her. Where is the compassion? Where is the "this is our customer and all they are asking for is to pay the remaining amount in a week". I am so disappointed in them and heart broken for our princess. We could've had said goodbye to her on our terms but the vet took that from us.

The staff and doctor are amazing and so sweet. My furbaby was acting abnormal and took him straight there. They got him in immediately to do surgery. They saved my cats life and I couldn't be more grateful ❤???? Very clean for a vet's office! There's a lot of vet clinics in Edwardsville but I will drive that 20 minutes to Troy ????

Our dog recently needed an urgent procedure done and they were the only office in the area to promptly respond to our needs. They took wonderful care of our girl and we are so grateful for their caring, compassionate treatment. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend!

Would definitely recommend Dr. Julie Mears. We have been very pleased with her care of our bulldog. She performed a surgery for us last year and her staff had excellent follow-up. More recently, her thorough care and compassion when our dog passed was appreciated.

Troy Veterinary Clinic is a wonderful place to take your furry family. As soon as you walk in the front door, you are greeted by smiling faces. The staff (veterinarians, technicians and receptionists) are very knowledgeable and they explained everything to me in a language that I could understand. I will be taking my beagle here for as long as he is alive. I wouldn't dream of going some place else.

I use both Troy vet and Shiloh vet for the care of my 2 cats, Milo and Oscar. They examine them thoroughly every time we need to come in and are very helpful explaining every thing to me. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Horrible place that takes advantage of people! We recently had to have our dog put down, my wife called to set up an appointment and they said it was over $200 just to euthanize! Our normal vet in EDWARDSVILLE only charged $50 How is there this much of a deference!

I've been taking my little dog, Bacon, here for years. You feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door, the facility is clean and modern, the staff is wonderful. The doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable, they really have my pet's best interests at heart. My dog is actually excited to go to the vet!
