Your establishment was the greatest I’ve seen operating in years. From the moment we walked through the door we was made to feel like a priority and I can’t thank you all enough for the wonderful care and services that you provide. The care my Bella received was outstanding and the greatest communication of all time. We’ll definitely be returning for future visits.

We took our dog here, and we paid for all services done in full. (Around $300) a month later we receive a statement for another $50. I was informed that they “forgot” to charge us. I asked for an itemized receipt and the notes. They went back and added a shot on there on a different date that he was seen (a month later). I saw that we were also charged for something that was never done. I am now afraid that his records are messed up with another dogs. After emails, texts and threatening letters, I went ahead and paid the bill afraid they would send it to collections. But we will not be back. CHECK YOUR BILL TO MAKE SURE IT IS CORRECT. I feel like we were scammed. UPDATE: Sending a letter stating you are going to send to collections if not paid is threatening. I was also told that I would only me charged the price of the shot 42.93, but my bank record shows it was $56. Very disappointed in the lack of respect shown by the office manger selena. If a system doesn’t allow you to backdate a charge there is usually a reason why it is not allowed.

I took my cat there since it said Hospital so I thought it was emergency. The receptionist was friendly, felt as though understanding. I proceeded to say my cat seems lethargic had a UTI two weeks ago treated with SubQ Keflex at the All Cat Clinic. I tried getting him in this morning there. That’s was chaos with that place. Since they knew my cat treated him. That was another issue with that place. So Laketown isn’t emergency at all. She came back rather cool stated they couldn’t see me they already booked up and other emergency to take care of. So in other words screw you not my problem we don’t care about your pet. I am a RN of 45 yrs still working I would never treat a stranger with a health issue like that. I had money to cover anything that was needed for an assessment and treatment of my cat! So ER service opens at 1800 and that’s where I go. I will never darken that door again.

They always call me same or next day when I request an appointment online and most staff is very nice and helpful. I have had experience with Laketown through 4 of my family’s dogs care, as well as 4 cats and the Vets are always respectful and cater to each of my animals needs! They have always given the best experience to each of my animals. It’s definitely a place that’s worth the money!

Best place in town. They take wonderful care of all animals, are accommodating, and trustworthy (won't do unnecessary procedures). They genuinely care about my dogs. I would recommend them 100%.

We use the boarding function of this business (already have a local vet) and find it very efficient and friendly. Excellent daily record on pet behavior, eating, etc while in kennel is shared at the end of stay, proving that no pet can have a fall-thru-the-cracks problem going unnoticed.

I love this vet! The scheduling was easy and they even called with a reminder the day before my appointment. The staff was friendly and helpful. I loved that I was able to come back with my cat and even hold her while the technician took her temperature. I know my cat felt much safer and calmer with me there. The vet made sure to explain what they were doing, and didn't rush me out. They answered my questions and were kind and patient. I also love their online pharmacy for getting medicine for pets. The bill wasn't much more expensive than I was paying before, at a facility that is nowhere near the quality of Laketown. Glad I changed to this vet!!!

My puppy had a appointment to get his first set of shots and unfortunately he was throwing up the night before his shots but he perked up in the morning so I took him thinking it was nothing but they offered a parvo test so I let them and it ended up being positive AS I WAS SITTING IN THE ROOM WITH MY PUPPY I heard them talking saying well its her fault she should have brought him to get his shots and I did hear the doctor correct them that I was in fact bringing him in for his shots on time at that. I scheduled a well visit for my dog 2 weeks ago and he ended up sick the day of. They sent us home on a "out patient" level as he didn't seem to sick but as he progressed through out the day and I called several times they acted unwilling to help me and told me I needed to take him to the emergency animal clinic I will never understand why I spent 240 for a vet bill when they did absolutely NOTHING for me. All I wanted was for my dog to be in patient because he kept getting worse. I ended up taking him to Petersburg vet and he is inpatient getting the care HE NEEDED from you guys what a waste of money

My dog macho had a problem this morning and they were busy and we're trying to refer me somewhere else and told me to call a couple other hospitals I did so and called them back and told him that there was nowhere for them to for him to be took and they did end up taking him in and took very good care of him Fisher Keller and Dr Fisher Keller was super super amazing and was able to diagnose this problem and sent us home with the right medications

Receptionist that answered the phone was extremely rude!!!!! After being on hold for 15 minutes and hang up to call back because of an emergency, the audacity of the woman who answered the phone. I wasn't rude and aggressive, I just stated, can you give me a moment to address my concerns and explain that I had just held on for 15 mins, but before I could get anything else out, she put me on hold again with no regard to me being a customer......

I took my dog, Farmer, there while I went on vacation. They have very friendly staff and are very efficient. Farmer was happy to see me but I think he enjoyed his stay. ????

Every person that I interacted with on the staff, from setting an appointment, to reception on the day of our visit (and most importantly, our new vet), seemed glad to be there and genuinely interested in the care of our new puppy. I really like the PetDesk app as well.

Go to a business that cares about your dog and not money. I went to Laketown on recommendation of an acquaintance and after reading positive reviews. However, neither my vet appointment experience nor my boarding experience were positive. I arrived 15 minutes early for the vet appointment per the recommendations of the front desk person when I made my appointment. I waited with my dog over 45 minutes in the lobby for the appointment. My dog is a rescue and gets anxiety in new environments and around other dogs, so by the time it was her appointment she was extremely wound up and stressed. The vet tech greeted us and took us to a room, took my dog to a back procedure room, and then brought her back. When she put my dog on the table my dog backed away from her when she leaned forward as if she was scared. My dog is very friendly and such behavior is very odd for her. From there the appointment was extremely hectic given that no one would take my advice to calm her down nor did any staff read the sheet from her previous pet visit with the same recommendations. When I boarded my dog I initially wanted to board Friday and Saturday with a Sunday pick-up; however, I was informed that even though staff is at the business to take care of dogs, owners are not allowed to pick-up their dogs on Sunday. When I did want to pick-up my dog Monday, I called to ask when she would be ready as I had off-hand agreed for her to be bathed while she was boarded. The staff member could not even give me an idea of what time I could pick her up, so I informed the staff that I was approximately an hour away and wanted to pick her up when I got to the clinic. I was charged for another day of boarding because I picked her up after 12:00. I was informed I would not have had to pay that price if I had paid for her to get a bath... even though I was not given any timeframe for when I could have picked up my dog and it would have likely been after 12:00 that she would have gotten her bath. Overall, I found the majority of staff to be unprofessional, condescending, uncaring towards my dog, and generally unhelpful. There are other options.

I found this place shortly after moving to town and was very happy. I referred everyone I know. Now, they are almost always out of the prescription dog food they say should eat, they don't carry the flea/heartworm medication they recommended and everything I try to call for avgrooming appointment I'm told they are booked up and I should call back on a different day I have a lot of faith in the vet she sees, but I felt like they're trying to lose my dog as a patient. I have outsourced everything I used to get here except medical care. What I liked was getting everything in one place.

My Oliver needed emergency services and this is the only office that would take him. I called every vet in Springfield. They are absolutely AMAZING here. They truly care about the animals and are passionate about their job. I will be going here for all my pets needs from now on. They even made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I couldn't ask for a better team to take care of my precious baby.

I took my Dotson rebel in because he just wasn't acting right and I didnt have an appointment. The doctor that was in was in on his day off and stayed late to see us. He was excellent with rebel and diagnost the issue quickly. will definatly be going there from now on. Excellent service!

Best place to take your animals. Their vets are amazing and willing to be transparent, while informative, and take the time to talk with you on a very human level. The supporting staff is so friendly and on-point. Their callback time is unreal and you never have to hound them for any answers. Their prices are the most reasonable of all the clinics I've had to take my cats to, also! They're truly professional and accommodating. I won't take my cats anywhere else. Furthermore, I vow that having seen two-to-three other independent Veteranarians in offices throughout Illinois.

Staff is polite and very friendly. Makes time to speak with you. The front desk staff is the first impression for Laketown Animal Hospital, and they are all very kind/caring people.

I am only leaving one star because leaving zero stars is not an option. My dog was dropped off here today to get groomed and they never called for us to come pick her up. We went to go get her and we were told that they had FORGOTTEN ABOUT HER. They forgot about my dog and did not even complete the grooming. Would she have stayed overnight if we had not driven out there? I will never be bringing my dogs here again.
