We have gone there since 2005 and the vet doctors there are top notch, Dr. Armour and Dr. Holbrook. We had to say goodbye to our dog Toby after almost 18 years. They were very supportive and let us take our time. Also they will go above and beyond to figure out what is wrong with your pet. Highly recommend going there

We have a 4lb yorkie who is 17 months old. Our veterinarian who is very skilled and qualified, was not comfortable spaying such a small dog. (She personally reached out and spoke with Dr. Christina Holbrook who is her friend.) We had a consultation with Dr. Holbrook and the surgery was scheduled. Unfortunately our girl fell into the 2% category who had a reaction to the anesthesia and the procedure was aborted. Dr. Holbrook spoke with us and advised that she would do some research to find a different drug cocktail which would possibly be better suited to our dogs’ system needs. Surgery was then rescheduled for July. The procedure went perfectly and our little girl came thru with flying colors. Dr. Holbrook was very attentive to our concerns and personally reached out to us the day of the unsuccessful attempt and again after the successful surgery. (She also personally phoned and responded to a couple questions we had prior to the day of surgery.) The vet techs who readied our dog each time were assuring and we felt she was in great hands. The office staff are patient and professional and all of them work to provide quality care. Although we will be returning to our vet for her routine care, we would not hesitate to utilize this clinic in the future should our circumstances change. We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Christina Holbrook and thank her and all of her staff for taking such wonderful care of our baby.

Capitol Illini and Dr. Christina Holbrook are some of the best!! The care Brooklyn received before, during and after her surgery from Dr. Holbrook and her staff, I can’t thank them enough!! Dr. Holbrook was so wonderful, besides being a top notch vet. she is also so caring and compassionate, she made me feel at ease even in such a tough situation. The vets are very good with your pet. You can always get an appointment usually the same day.

Prices are absolutely way too high. I have worked at multiple vet clinics and I have never seen prices like theirs. The techs do not do their own fecals? So you have to pay outrageous prices to have them sent to a lab which almost triples the price of what a tech could do it for. I had to call for the results, they were in but apparently a tech could not give me the results or go over treatment. What do the techs do here? Of course the doctor wasn't available and even though I asked for a call back I still didnt get one until the next day. Over all not impressed with their knowledge of bearded dragon care and will not be returning.

Have been coming here for years with our pets. Our daughters and their pets, too!!! As long as we have our dogs and cats, we will come here. Capital Illini is the BEST❣️

I love Dr. Wisdom even though she wasn't a permanent staff at Capitol Illini. I could ask her anything and she answered directly. Rosie kitty loved her too.

We recently moved to Springfield from Texas and needed to establish a new vet. If you've had pets for a while, you know this is as traumatic as finding a new doctor for yourself! Dr. Holbrook and Capitol Illini were highly recommended by a colleague. They were phenomenal. We have 2 senior dogs - one who is very shy and one who is very loud. They handled them both with love and care and put everyone (including the nervous fur mama) at ease. I would recommend them to anyone.

Originally my dog started going to Capitol Illini because Dr Holbrook is an orthopedic specialist. She started having other issues and now sees Dr Armour as well. Both women are extremely kind, helpful and thorough. They take the time to listen to me and answer all of my questions.

Great service. My doctor was personable even only being over the phone and seemed really interested in giving me the best treatments for everything. Overall great experience even as a roadside pick up for a pet. Doobie(my cat) came back seeming untouched and unbothered by the experience.

They are wonderful people, from the receptionists to the veterinarians. You can see that they truly care about animals and do their best to help them. I feel my cats are in good hands whenever we visit.

Long term customer and have never had a less than perfect experience. We chose Dr.Holbrook when we moved here several years ago and she has taken care of two of our Yorkies. Complete confidence in her treatments and surgeries. The staff is efficient, responsive and very caring. Would not consider going anywhere else.

After having a bad experience with another vet, I took my cat here and it didn’t even take 10 minutes for Dr. Holbrook to find out what was wrong with him. Everyone was so nice and helpful I’m glad I took my cat to this vet it was worth every penny!
