I walked into this "animal hospital" in the hopes of having top notch care. The receptionist who is an older women with gray hair is telling the customer on the other line that she is from Wisconsin and is doing so without her mask onthe entire time! Ok, I'm 6 feet away so I take it in stride. When my dog is seen, the technician is also wearing a cloth mask??? Really? Is this a medical institution or just a glorified dog grooming facility? When I left the reception did manage to put her mask below her nose. (I know that's so hard to do) Obviously there is a blatant disregard to the CDC's recommendations and IL mask mandate. Any facility that doesn't care about and protect others from CoVid is selfish and will never truly care for your pet! I'm happy to take my business elsewhere.I recommend you do the same. Trust me if they break one health standard they will do others when your pet is with them alone!

Took my puppy in yesterday to get spayed, dewclaws removed, microchipped, and her heartworm test and the two nights before I couldn't sleep and after I picked her up, I started tearing up by how proud she walked out of the back room & how cute she looked of course. Staff is wonderful!! They answered all the questions any new dog mom would have after their baby just got surgery. I would recommend them to anyone that is a new pet mom just like me!!????

Companion was able to treat my dog quickly, with superb surgical skill . I immediately recognized that the staff loved animals and cared for pet owner's feelings. Cost of services were very fair.

Staff is the nicest group of people. Doctor explains everything you need to know in detail and answers all questions .....even my dumb ones. I was a newer customer when my dog passed away suddenly and it didn't matter how long I was a customer and I received a lovely sympathy card from the team. Awesome place Awesome people.

We recommend Companion to everyone. This group of ladies was amazing, loving, caring and so great with our puppy. He didn’t want to leave the vet. Usually you have to drag a dog in, not ours. He was so excited and happy to be there and it was great feeling.

My cat had kittens this month and one of them was born with some issues. I was an emotional mess and called place after place trying to get answers and help for them and it seemed impossible to get the help I needed until I called Companion. After just one phone call with Tori my anxiety went down so much as she had given me a ton of information and guidance on what I should do and treated me with compassion. I took my cat and her kittens in for a check up and their shots and overall the entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going to them for any of my pets future needs. :)

Amazing! I brought in my mom's dog to see them and they treated her as if she was their own! They paid all their attention to her and were so kind to my brother and I. I love them there!!

We just moved to the area and were looking for a vet with a dermatology specialty to treat our boy’s incessant paw licking triggered by seasonal allergies. He’s a grumpy old man of a dog and usually starts growling as soon as a stranger tries to handle him but Dr. Leister and the assisting vet tech Tori knew just how to coax him out of his shell. The exam and treatment was quick but thorough. Dr. Leister gave us a number of options based on cost. He loved Susan at the front desk too! He even let her play with his ears which is super rare for strangers. It’s nice to know we found a place where he feels safe and comfortable.

The Vets and Staff at Companion Animal Hospital RL are so knowledgeable and caring. I’ve been taking my Maltese Leo since he was 8 weeks old and I recently started taking my Great Dane puppy Luna as well. They are very patient, they explain procedures and directions very clearly. Every time they have a smile and they all look happy to be there to help our pets.

This place is probably the best vet I've ever been too they are super friendly everytime you call there they always sound happy to be working there they really love there jobs. The veterinarian herself is really smart, nice and explains everything in detail plus she always gives you the best advice I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone

We had a very positive experience with our dog. We appreciated the professional and caring attitude of the people at CAH-Round Lake. The office is extremely well managed to make the most of everyone’s time and ensure care is available when needed.

I love this place. They’ve been so accommodating and helpful in every situation that arises with my kitties. They answer every question and handle distraught pet parents so well. I always find myself back at a companion facility because they’re very thorough and give you all the information/options. Thank you for being my savior on my kitty’s worst days. I was up since 6 taking my cat to walk in clinics that were unable to help him, I called and they got me in right away. The whole appointment must’ve been around 20 minutes or less. They were able to help my cat quickly and didn’t try to push any extra costs or procedures. Super affordable too.

Very Friendly and the doctor calls me and explains everything about Pumpkin’s problems and what she did for her. And what she is sending home with her and how I should use it. And answered all my questions.

We are new to the area and needed a vet for vaccines and annual check ups for our GSDs. They handled them so well, especially my neurotic younger mix. He’s so scared of new things and the vet tech sat on the ground with him until he was comfortable. I’ve never seen him react so well! I’m excited to keep coming here! Edit: I had one of the most heart wrenching diagnoses when my younger dog had to go for emergency surgery. The vet called and was so understanding. She made me feel like I was supported and I truly cannot express how much that meant to me.

very disappointing very disrespectful people here specifically the people who take call to set appointment!! u will show up because u have an appointment right then when u get there u have no appointment but we can squeeze u in but with charge but when u are setting and appointment they said no available we are fully book don’t make any sense plus rude customer service i don’t know why they are able to take call but don’t know nothing about great customer service bad place to go!!!!

Very unprofessional very greedy they made a mistake in scheduling appointments then when we show up they said we dont have an appointment and they we can squeeze u in but u will pay 30 to 40 dollar extra what a crook they are they are the one who made a mistake they can even do a thing to satisfy a customer to make it right very unprofessional will never go here again !!!!!
