I’m heartbroken, disappointed, and just shocked by the terrible work done on the clay imprint of my pet’s paws. I’ve had two of my rats pts at animal care center of Plainfield. They’ve been nothing but exceptional and caring. Both times my babies have been sent to Metro Animal Service to be cremated. I chose not to keep their ashes or their bodies for personal reasons, but i always pay extra to receive their clay paw prints. The ones from my “Ginger” were beautifully done. It was neatly packaged and clearly a lot of care was put into making them. This is what I expected from them. My most reason clay imprints are from my “Bella”. The minute I opened the box I broke into tears. You can hardly see the imprint of her paws. The slab is covered in fingerprints and scratches. I wouldn’t even mind the scratches if I could see her paw prints. My heart is broken. I have nothing left of her but a carelessly imprinted clay slab. I put my trust in this company and i’m so disgusted. I’ve talked to the vet and i’ll speak to a manager on monday, but it’s not about the money. I just wanted something to remember her by. I know she’s just a rat, but she was loving and so smart. She deserved better than this. The last photo is of my gingers paw prints, which came out perfectly. Dakota was cremated on 11/26, but I didn’t receive her until 12/15. I was not contacted about the delay and my email was not responded to. You need to improve communication.

We used Metro in March of this year. Luther was quick to respond and take our beloved equine away where she would be cremated. We chose to have her cremated individually so that her ashes could be returned to us. The office gal called us right away. She was very kind and offered to take hair. When we picked her up, she was in a lovely box (we chose to purchase from Metro). At pick up they brought her out and placed her in our car. When the time comes for any of our other animals, we will be sure to call Metro.

My cat, Smudge, was cremated but the certificate says "Buddy". It feels a little concerning that they didn't even double check the names. I am worried if my cat was even cremated properly and if I have his remains ?

Today I had to make a hard decision to put my baby down. I work at a vet we use Metro and have had amazing service. Today I called to ask if I could bring Duke myself and with no hesitation they said yes. When Metro picks up at the animal hospital they are so very respectful to all the fur babies. Earlier this year Metro Animal Services was very accommodating with our unusual circumstance. I will forever be grateful for their kindness. Most importantly they gave me peace and closure.

When asking about aftercare options for my pet, my vet said they provided servcies through Metro Animal Service. After viewing their website and other reviews, I opted for partitioned individual cremation through Metro Animal Service. In less than a week, the cremains were returned and thoughtfully packaged with a letter from the owners, certificate of cremation, and a simple and pleasing metallic urn. Thank you so much for your affordable, fast, and professional service through my vet. It made the aftercare process easy so that I could focus on the memories of our departed pet and caring for our remaining dog as she adjusts to life without her older brother.

The emergency vet sent my 16 year sweet pup here. Was disappointed when I got her ashes and paw print back. She came in a tin can and her $50 each paw prints are barely readable. When my last pup passed they did a wonderful job with everything. And paw prints were $12 each and so nicely done. ????

We had our minnie for 17 years and couldn’t imagine our home without her. I specifically asked for her to be transported and kept in her favorite blankie and they did just that and returned her blankie, ashes, and paw print to me. Thank you for your care of our kitty

I probably wouldn’t recommend. Vet sent our beloved 9 year old pup there for $410 you get ashes back in a tin can that probably cost them $3.00

They have taken care of several of my animals, and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Compassionate, professional and affordable options.

My pups are home and I can only say that I am eternally grateful for Metro for their care in making sure that my boys final journey home was well taken care of. The box my boys ashes arrived in was very well packed, his paw print was made with extra loving care and each box had a label with his name on it. As pet parents, this is the last business you'd want to purposely seek out. Like others, I had no idea they even were in business. But I am glad my vet partnered with them. Metro has now handled the remains of both of my beloved furry sons. I can't show them enough love for making sure they came home with the dignity they deserved. To Lisa and Glenn Brown and the employees of Metro, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my boys.

Amazing, fantastic people. A true family business. Compassionate and caring. It takes a lot to earn my trust when it comes to my pets, but I feel completely comfortable knowing that my boy is being treated with the greatest respect though the cremation process.

All of the employees that I encountered at Metro Animal Service were wonderful! The owners went above and beyond in helping us with our dog we recently had to have euthanized. He was treated with care and dignity throughout the entire process! You can tell they really do love what they do and care about their customers who are going through a tough time like this! We had our "baby" back home with us the very next day! I look forward to passing out the keychains and ceramic paw prints they made for us to the people who had a big part in his rough life that he had and who loved our dog as much as we do!! Just a great keepsake to have to remember the impact he made on all of our lives!! Thank you to all of you at Metro!!

Had to get my hamster cremated. I brought her in the same day I called and she was ready to be picked up early the next morning. Very quick service. Which definitely helped the grieving process. Very compassionate staff. And they cut the cost In half since my little babe was so small! Very nicely wrapped. I felt good that I knew these people did this with dignity and compassion. Would recommend with anyone that has a pet death in their family. Thank you Metro!!
