Very helpful and knowledable staff. They provide any service your pets need including complex surgeries and diagnostics and they are reasonably priced for most services.

Dr. Hayes, and the entire staff are true professionals that actually really care about your pet and you. My doggo Apollo, age 5, would have had a much shorter life from being lame in both rear legs. 2 Tplo surgeries within a year at Whitney by Dr. Hayes and crew, and I have my old puppy back again. Thank you all so much for saving my beloved Doodle. I'll be forever grateful as will his doodle brother Atlas. God bless you all!

If you have a dog who is fearful of the vet I highly recommend taking them to Whitney Veterinary Hospital in Peoria. After a traumatic experience at another clinic way back in 2012, our dog Peewee couldn't enter a vet clinic without panicking. We've been to practically every clinic in the area with each visit being equally stressful. We even went as far as working with trainers and a behaviorist. Nothing seemed to help. Today was Peewee's first annual visit at Whitney and to say that our visit went well is an understatement. The staff was so good and Dr. Mike knew just what to do. I left the clinic with tears in my eyes because I was so relieved to finally have a place to take him for care that he won't leave feeling panicked and traumatized. Thanks Whitney Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Mike for being the best!

Kind, compassionate, prompt, knowledgeable, gentle - all the traits you could ever hope to have in those who care for your pets. Stella and I have seen many vets throughout our years together, but this is THE place. I’m left impressed and grateful after each visit.

Had to take our dog in to be put to sleep as she was not having the quality of life she deserved. Everyone was so friendly and compassionate. I never want to experience that kind of loss again but they took such great care of us and our precious Belle...We Thank You All for your kindness!

I can't recommended this Hospital enough. The staff is amazing! I came in a crying mess because my cat was in pain and I was seeking emergency treatment. Dr. Frazier was excellent at calming me down, taking a look at Smokey, and keeping my budget in mind. The diagnosis was quick and Smokey was being sedated within 30 minutes of my arrival. I spent the next three days talking to all the staff while he recovered. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM are so wonderful. If you'd like professional care with a loving hand at an affordable price... call them. You will not be disappointed.

I'd like to say they went above and beyond for me, but I know they do this for everyone. My baby went to have a consultation last week, they looked her over and instead of saying she needed surgery so they can get paid, they went over other scenarios. They got me in right away for xrays and they do nail trimming while she's sedated at no extra charge. They have really made me feel comfortable bringing my baby to them. I wish we lived closer, they do an amazing job and I am very happy they're apart of the community. Thank you for the job you do. It is very much appreciated.

This is the best vet around the Peoria area. Very knowledgeable, communicative, and caring for our four legged kiddos. I am glad we were recommended to Whitney Vet Hospital!

Ordered meds for my dog over the phone and, in difficult circumstances, staff actually delivered them to my home personally. Good people, can't recommend highly enough. Thank you.

I had to put my cat down. The doctor and team at Whitney was so caring and patient. Every single person showed compassion the entire time. I don't remember anyone's name as i was a wreck, but i appreciate everything they did during the difficult time for me. The doctor kindly took the time to explain the possible problems that my cat was facing and didn't rush me at all to come to a decision. The nurses went above and beyond to support me with kind words and warm sentiments. I've been taking my pets here for years, and have never had a bad experience. I don't know about their costs because i haven't really compared, but their value is priceless. UPDATE!!! I had to have my 2nd and only cat left put down. Wow! They are amazing! Dr. Mike took time to help me understand I was doing the right thing, but also let me know my options. ALL of the technicians and support were so compassionate again every step of the way. As far as prices, i did compare this time. Whitney blew the competition away. If I get another pet, this is where I'll go. Hands down.

Called them up to tell them my dog needed emergency surgery. And they did not want to do it and pretty much just steered me away on the phone.

This Vet's office and staff is top notch! This is the friendliest, most dedicated and passionate group of people that I've ever encountered at a veterinary hospital. From the time that I made the 1st appointment, into the visit I felt confident that my dog was in great hands. They were very organized, well informed and extremely persoanable. I also appreciated the follow up call checking in from our dogs first visit.

Our three year old yellow lab tore his first CCL in 2019 and had a TPLO in Davenport, IA. About 8 months later, an oozing sore appeared in that leg. After several attempts to heal the sore, it was determined that the plate from the TPLO was infected and the plate needed to be removed. At about the same time, he tore the CCL in his other leg. The vet that performed the TPLO the first time was unwilling to see the dog for over 7 weeks from these two diagnosis. Not willing to wait that long, I looked for another vet that performed this surgery. I asked around and looked for reviews and was very pleased to find Whitney Vet Hospital. They were kind and caring and got us in for an initial visit within days of our request. Within two weeks, they had the operations done. The care our lab received was tremendous and we are very, very pleased with the outcome. His recovery was better and faster than the previous surgery. They gave us physical therapy type exercises with videos to follow that really helped him get back to normal. They even caught a medication mix up from a local vet that was overdosing our lab on anti-inflammatories. It is so nice to see our lab run and run with no more limping. This would be my everyday vet if we lived closer than 1.5 hours away. I highly recommend Whitney Vet Hospital and would even recommend that people in the Quad Cities make the trip to Peoria for a TPLO.

This is the WORST vet I have ever visited. First off, they gave my cat spray can cheese, and didn’t ask if my cat has shown any allergens to milk. On my second visit after getting him checked for mites and getting it treated, they checked to see if they were gone. They did not inform me this would be a charge, and did not ask if I wanted this test done. It was a 30 dollar test I did not consent to. They also told me the mites would 100% for sure be gone with the treatment, so why did they have to check to see if their 100% treatment worked. They are awful at communicating and honestly think you would do better at any better vet. Also I never leave reviews, so this really wasn’t okay.

Such compassionate and respectful doctors, techs, and staff. The Vets know what they are talking about and you can tell they love the animals. I have taken my 3 dogs here and never had a complaint. My dogs LOVE Dr. Mike (I mean, he has treats in his pocket!) He is very transparent with you and you can just tell he loves what he does. I have also seen Dr. Roe who is very knowledgeable and friendly. One of my dogs had a very complicated health problem that my previous vet didn’t even catch and she was determined to get to the bottom of it. Unfortunately, it was already too late by the time I brought her to Whitney, and we lost our fur baby, but the vet and all of the staff were incredibly supportive and helpful during that incredibly difficult time. I will never take my pets anywhere else!

5Facility is very nice and they quickly separate cars and dogs to their own waiting room. Always have my pet's names on a welcome board. Dr. Roe is the best with cats. Gentle and loving and knowledgeable. Techs are always sweet with my boys.

I will never take my cats anywhere else! Every single vet and tech I've dealt with has expressed the same care and attention for my cats as I do and I think the fact that they separate the cat and dog rooms makes a huge difference in my cats comfort level. The services are pricier than other practices in my opinion, but you get what you pay for. The fact that the vet called me after the spay and neuter of my two kittens was something I had never experienced anywhere else and was such a thoughtful touch for this anxious cat mom!
