I love Pekin Animal Hospital! Basically my house is a zoo lol I have six animals all of which if they ever need anything are taken very well care of at Pekin Animal hospital. The doctors are great, and the intake staff is absolutely amazing and friendly and they actually know your name. I do love this place!

Took my cat in there for the first time. Table was dirty with dead fleas and pet hair. Veterinarian was in the room for five minutes and was Dismissive and rude. Was in there for an hour and 10 minutes total. If you’re needing veterinary services, avoid this clinic at all costs

I took my dogs in for the first time a couple weeks ago. The vet tech got snippy with me about giving my dogs all of their shots. I was confused because they only needed their rabies and distemper which I told her that. She rudely tells me my dogs haven’t been to the vet since 2013. I again tell her they are over due but had been to the vet in 2019. She then looks at their records and says oh that’s the year they were born. Then she stepped out and told the vet what was needed to which the vet replies rudely only two shots like I’m supposed to get the works idk. They kept calling my dog Jane which isn’t her name and got upset my dogs were wiggling. Pretty sure my dogs aren’t the only wiggle worms but it was a huge inconvenience I guess. I sat there waiting to pay after a quick 5 minute exam for two dogs for almost 30 minutes while they called off staff and rescheduled their next day. I also got to sit and listen to what they each do when they get home while waiting to pay. I will never take my dogs back!

Been here many times and always had a good experience. Had not been here for 6 months. Went to vet that was closer to my new home and not satisfied with them so drove the distance back to this vet. My visit was for my dogs leg. New vet more upset about me not purchasing flee medicine in timely matter. Felt like I was being verbally attacked. My dog also has allergies. Let's not forget I had to wait 2 weeks for him to be seen. Treated as though I neglected him. When the vet came in she had a paper on him like new chart. He has a thick chart from there. So he was treated for the allergies he still holds his leg up and cryes and yelps when picked up wrong. Yes this was told to vet and she was telling why we should not xray his leg...."maybe he has arthritis" hoping it not broke or displaced hip joint. She did not check. Would I go back....as long as she does NOT see any of my pets. She must be new vet since they are advertising for new pet patients.

Absolutely incredible staff, treated me and my dog exceptionally well. Highly recommend bringing your loved ones here!

Best care we have received for all our animals. We have never been sent to the emergency place as they always were able to see us! Thank you, especially for taking care of Jack last Saturday though the outcome wasn't what we hoped for. ???? Love all the docs and their staff is wonderful

Too expensive! Little help to the owner. Hate covid-19 lockdowns where owners can't go in with pets. I've been vaccinated since April. If people aren't and can't prove it, don't let them in. NOT EVERYBODY!!!!!!

Huge pain with the lobby closed. Vets try real hard to upsell their products. Services cost as much or more than elsewhere so I am going to keep looking around for another vet.

Dr Grimm and all the staff were freaking awesome. They were all so very friendly to me and my furbaby. My Romeo seemed to love all the girls too. The explained everything that we needed done as we just adopted our boy, and gave us options as well. Looking forward to a long relationship with Dr. Grimm and her staff.

The staff at Pekin Animal Hospital were great with a tragic situation. They were understanding, knowledgeable and compassionate when we came to the decision of putting down our family dog whom we have loved for 17yrs. They allowed us the mourning process and time to say good bye while yet adhering to COVID19 protocols. Thank you for the well taken process. We appreciated the staff and doctor.

This is a great place to take your pet. They are very caring, take their time, and make you feel comfortable with the care being given.

My dog wasn't scared to go in so I'm assuming they treated her with nothing but love. When she got her stitches out a lady named Erin was so gentle with misty. They were patient with me as well
