Every time I interact with this vet I am disappointed. Their protocols and customer service are literally the worst I have ever experienced. If you have any other option for your vet, I highly recommend you take it.

My dog needed his ears cleaned and nails trimmed. I was charged $103.00 and none of this was done along with no documentation as of yet and I couldn't be in the room with my dog to see what checks were conducted for this charge. I was then asked to leave a deposit of $100 for sedation because my dog was uncooperative. Well of course he was, with new people and owner not present. Not to mention, I was asked to purchase a cage muzzle, why wouldn't a hospital for dogs have this already and I am now being asked to purchase a muzzle. This procedure and nail trim with ear cleaning they asked for an additional $300 and some odd dollars on top of the $100 deposit. I am asking for my $100 deposit back and going elsewhere...still no documentation of visit already paid for, what did they do, did they do anything, how do I know. I left 4 to 5 messages on their voicemail and they have been ignored - I demand my deposit back and documentation of what the heck was conducted for $103.00, not to mention coupon for free nail trim or ear cleaning that they stated was part of the exam, but, coupon states either is for free...waiting to get anything back from this office, including my return of deposit for sedation. Very disappointed!

This is one of the best places to car for our furry companions! Dr. Dina and the staff are one in a million. Couldn't be happier with the service. Will always use Oak Park Animal Hospital and highly recommend. Ricky / Mark

Nail trim for a kitten cost $22. Outrageous...Everywhere else is $10-15. It is not included in wellness exam that cost $75. Receptionist is rude ,disconnected and will just hang up on you .. Retarded...west side g-e-t-o...can't even understand mumbling.... Was here once and never again. Stay away.

This place is extremely expensive, they wanted to charge me over $1600 for blood work, x-rays and a senior cat exam (my cat is four years old not a senior); not to mention the fee for the initial visit is $90 after taxes. I went to summit animal hospital instead because I couldn't afford this place, they did her blood work for free and sent me home with medicine and food for $200, 8 times less than this place charged me! Do not waste your money at this place they only care about profit not your pets.

Payment is absurd and miscommunication. Somehow does not accept coupons at the time of payment and expect customers to know to only present coupons at arrival. Charged $26 for a guinea pig nail trim. Will be going else where for future check ups.

If you are a pet owner looking to declaw your APARTMENTBOUND INDOOR cat that will NEVER be outside, then beware of how they use the word "declaw". Basically, they say they declaw to get you to get your cat examined for $70.00 & tell you later on that "your cat doesn't 'qualify' for declawing". Destroyed cabinets, door frames, furniture, & screens worth at least "umpteen" dollars worth of damage to a non owned place does not qualify. How can I financially keep my cat? This surgeon says that only "rare case9s" to declaw. Hypocritical, don't you think? You're saying its immoral & cruel because you're "amputating" their paws, but under certain circumstances you can. If you don't believe in it, especially since extreme liberal California banned this procedure (which by the way why can't these "cat lovers" who don't care if cats end up in the street because less people will adopt them), you don't do it at all! I have owned 2 cats in the past whose front paws were declawed & they were perfectly fine! Hence, for an uppity attitude community, they have one one smelly rundown dive for a hospital! Before, I would tell a pet owner to worry about my pet's "behavior & anxiety" I would take a look at the big picture first, homes for cats! You're not a vet, you're a animal whisperer! I have "ANXIETY" talking about this!

Would not recommend. I brought my cat here multiple times and each time they gave me a different excuse and antibiotic to give her with no results. they were also very expensive. I brought in a rescue with minimal papers and were very sour to the fact that we didn't have her age. Every time I went in they made me feel like it was my fault she was sick. Never answered our questions either. We brought her to a new vet and they had everything scheduled and sorted in one day.

I've only gone here once for the flu vaccine, but I think I found my vet!!! I tried PetVets animal hospital for flea and tic shots or something like that and they thought my baby was a monster. They gave her anxiety meds for future visits, said she needs a behaviorist/ psychological help, and that I should never let her be around other dogs. They were unhelpful when I asked about what is the nearest, best emergency room. It was a really bad, stressful situation for everyone involved. At the Oak Park Animal Hospital they were very kind to my rhodesian ridgeback and she likes them. They are very good at explaining things and answering my questions. They have lots of good information. They have treats!! My dog especially likes the guy who is like the physicians assistant or nurse type role.

Very nice staff! They listen and always offer good advice. Their prices are a little high, but overall I am happy to have them as my vet.

Oak park animal hospital is the best, very understanding and knowledgeable. They will answer any question to the best of their ability and if they can’t they will schedule an appointment. Melissa the receptionist Is very helpful, professional AND she speaks Spanish! Thanks Dr Dina and company! I won’t take Lance anywhere else! (He loves the free treats)

I changed vets about 6 or 7 years ago. Dr. Dina and staff worked with my dog & explained what was going on. If I didn't change vets I'm sure my dog would have died. Tomorrow she's going for another car ride. Going to Wisconsin.

I so love the services that my Chico receives here, and I really love the prices I can so afford to bring him for his visits, they are also close to my house.

Just started taking my two cats and dog here and so far so good. The hours are convenient and the staff is personable. One of my cats and dog are currently being treated for what was initially thought to be ringworm but Dr. Dina called and said that since the skin culture came back negative for ringworm, she is working on thinking of other ways to treat this mysterious fungal infection. I like that she's trying to find the best solution to this annoying problem.

We've never had to bring our lil pup Reptar in for a sick visit before. The scheduling team was excellent about understanding my concerns and getting him in for an appointment right away. Dr. Dina and the rest of the staff helped to quickly realize the problem and did what they could to make Reptar feel better. We we're able to schedule a follow-up appointment with ease and it made me feel better to know that he was treated with such care and compassion while he was being seen. He might have glared at her a bit in the end, but Reptar loves Dr. Dina and the staff at Oak Park Animal Hospital!

Im so excited and happy with my Chico's Vet and Staff at OPAH, they are very knowledgeable about what dogs need and is explained so that I can understand, the prices are really affordable so I think I found a winner.

How much do I love Dr. D. and the crew, let me count the ways. I first started going to OPAH a number of years ago when I adopted and required services for my ferret, Sheridan. They were wonderful with him and provided so much knowledge and support. When it came his time to expire, the personnel handled everything and were all very sad, as he had become a part of their family as well. More recently, I have taken one of my cats and a new acquired Guinea pig to see Doctor D. As always...extremely knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating to all of our needs. Thank you!!

We have been using Oak Park Animal Hospital for over 11 years. The staff there is amazing. The always answer their phone, are able to “squeeze” us in for what we consider emergent situations. The doctors there are also top notch. They listen to our concerns and also give us their best opinion as to how to keep our fur babies healthy. We also use their boarding services for one of our cats. When we pick her up they always provide us with a report of how she was behavior wise and if she has had her medicine or not for the day. We couldn’t be more pleased with the Oak Park Animal Hospital and will continue to use them and recommend them.

Dr. Dina and all of the staff here are WONDERFUL! I have been taking both my cat and dog here for 8 years or so. Appointments are easy to get, even on Saturdays, and they are always on time. Even though they are located on Madison street, I have never had a problem with parking. When we go, all my questions get answered. I have never felt rushed, everyone always takes their time with my pets. I have compared their prices to other locations and they are very comparable. They have always been willing to price match my dogs heart worm prevention medication when I have found it at a lower cost online. I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else.

Our dog, Gravy, has received excellent care from Dr. Dina. After some unexpected medical problems were diagnosed, Dr. Dina took time to explain everything in great detail and was sure to outline both sides of the situation without pressuring us. We couldn’t be more grateful for the care our dog has received through Oak Park Animal Hospital.

We lived in Oak Park for 2 years and we couldn't be happier with the staff at Oak Park Animal Hospital. They took really great care of our doggie Fenrir every time we came in. You can tell the staff and doctors really enjoy their jobs. They were always excited to see Fenrir. We utilized their boarding services often as well and have no complaints. Great experience!
