Way too over priced on their macaws when you can go to a breeder for a fraction of the price

If you’re going to run a store, at least turn off the “open” sign when no one’s there and you have a sign that says “if locked, call this number”. Called and nobody picked up. Store is fine, having to wait for someone to ignore your call and leave the open sign is not.

Birdman's Parrots was such a great experience. I called ahead and asked if they had any sun conures available and Elias informed me that there were some available as well as his availability (this was Christmas Eve). I drove up immediately to "look"... and well, I brought home a wonderful baby sun that day. This is day 5 of us being together and baby bird is already super curious about the space and me. I can tempt them with seed from my hands. They are soo cute and adorable. We're already beginning "step up" training (They seem to try and steal seed from me before stepping up LOL) I'm having so much fun. You can tell that they were handled and hand raised. The birds at the shop trust Elias (I was kind of jealous,) but I'm so glad I chose this shop to bring home another bird friend. I even picked up a couple perches when I was there. He recommended a great vet who was able to get me in for a general check up really quickly, as my normal vet takes a while to schedule, and baby bird passed with flying colors. I can’t even describe how good of a experience I had at Birdmans Parrots, Eli was so welcoming the first day i came in and it stayed like that for each visit, Eli went out of his way to let me come to the shop 2-3 times a week to visit with my bird till he was ready to come home. He would never rush me and he would always answer my million questions each time I came in, he also answered all my phone calls about updates. Eli really made sure that my baby boy meadow was fully eating on his own before sending him home, he also is able to get there DNA test for you along with common disease tests. Eli socializes with all of his birds so they are exposed to human contact and that really helps when taking them home and continuing with training. I will definitely be coming back to the shop anytime I need supplies!!! Best bird store in Illinois, go check it out!!!

I was looking to adopt a black palm cockatoo. Eli had a young 15 month old female. To be certain the bird was really at his store I flew from Minneapolis to Chicago. The little girl is bright and very curious about everything around her. He had her DNA checked and disease checked prior to my aquiring the bird. He is very knowledgeable about this rare bird and had a great deal of information to share. He helped me get her onto the jet and flew her home safely. Very clean shop full of young birds ready for new homes and families. When I am ready for another bird I will look toward his shop for a possible adoption. Thanks a lot Eli for all your help.

I was referred to him by friend he was amazing with dealing with my Mitred Conure he answered all my questions, concerns the transaction was very smoothly , he shipped my baby to me on delta Niles Ill to Boston. The transaction was so smoothly he did everything i asked . I had DNA test done results where done asap . I wanted boy -he did great job picking my son out & DNA test was positive for BOY:). He was diseased tested by ELi . I took my baby 4 months old son to vet when he arrived . Them said Scharzkli was very Happy, Healthy, Great Size . He passed with flying colors. Eli is always available by phone or text even when he closed . He always get right back to you . If your looking for bird/ parrot to join your family no need to look any future, Eli is your final destination he takes pride in his industry he honest & reliable he stands by his birds.He ships gives you all details of flight / tracking it was such great transaction so smooth. I had more anxiety than the bird lol. I never met Eli I live so far away but he legit is real thing . When purchasing parrot or bird their are many scams online. Do your research read reviews check better business bureau, use referrals. Birds are expensive. I am so happy with my baby- Scharki he is so happy healthy, great personality.He was hand fed by Eli he so friendly he bonded to us . When I purchase my next bird in few years Eli will be my 1st call . He on my speed dial. He is the best. I tell people who are looking to call Eli he may have what your looking for. If he doesn't have what you are looking for he may know someone. Than can help. Birdman Parrots has my #1 vote he the best. His store has so much stuff cages, toys, very clean so much more . An absolutely trustworthy seller! I live in a different state, paid upfront and the perfect parrot was shipped and delivered exactly as ordered. Even with the flight delays he had no control over he was tracking with me and truly cared that the parrot got to me safe and sound. I definitely would do business with Eli again. The bird was shipped with plenty of food and watery veggies and had no split tails or wing feathers, and seemed all around to not be phased by the trip. Definitely 5 stars!

Eli truly cares about his birds, and I cannot recommend him enough. Our little Nova acclimated herself to our home immediately. She was obviously used to attention and companionship from humans as she became bffs with my husband immediately. She always wants to be around us and will screech if she is missing the action. Nova has a HUGE appetite and will eat from our hands. She is already succeeding with trigger training and responds to her name after us having her for only 5 days. I will definitely go back when we are ready for our next bird

If I could give 0 stars I would. The place has been around for SO LONG and their standards keep getting lower. Every cage is unfit, overcrowded, the birds are constantly fighting each other (aggressively, not playfully) and there's always OLD feces and grime on the cages. the water bowls seem to only be changed once or less a day and last time I checked, the birds were all eating dry pellets. no chop, no veggies unless its to "please a customer" etc. poor diets, poor health, poor habitats and no enrichment. I hate this place. Ive worked in avian VC for years and Ive closely observed Eli's place on Lincoln and now in niles. Its bs and its so sad that there's no one to enforce the welfare of these birds. what a shame.

We purchased our Umbrella Cockatoo from Birdman’s Parrots in August 2021. We named her Coconut (Coco) Prior to receiving Coco, Eli, the owner, did a weekly FaceTime video with us and Coco. She is the sweetest most adorable bird we have ever had. Eli shipped her to our closest airport. She arrived at the airport without issue and we took her home that night. Birdman’s Parrots and Eli has been here for us with any questions we’ve had as we’ve adjusted with our new family member. I would highly recommend this business!

Birdman is a bird lover and an expert on the thing he loves. An impeccably clean shop is a daunting task when you have birds and this is easily the cleanest shop I've ever been inside. His birds are clearly happy and healthy and they visibly love him. You can't go wrong if you're looking for a new companion.

Great shop with clean displays and fascinating birds . They had enough in stock and the staff was very kind enough o discuss the pros and cons of species with respect to my ability to keep them .

We got our turquoise pineapple green cheek conure, Pixel, from Eli about 3 months ago. I can hardly imagine our family without him! He arrived healthy, happy, and great with people including kids. We live out of state, so Eli shipped him using air freight. It went very well. Even the next day or bird was ready to explore and play! I would go back to Birdmans for any parrots we want to get in the future.

My friend gifted me a parrot for my birthday and took me here. I've visited many parrot "petshops" in the past and all treated their animals with no respect. This store cares for their birds, you can tell they don't see them as a quick buck. The salesman even asked if I could call to give him an update on how my new baby parrot was adjusting.

About a month ago we got our little Lulu (Turquoise green cheek conure) and she has been the most wonderful addition to our family. Very tame, friendly, and cuddly. Can definitely tell she was well cared for.

Mr. Eli has given me a top-notch experience that I will not soon forget! I will be recommending him and his shop to anyone who asks me where to find a bird. I will also not purchase from anywhere else again! He is very informatively thorough and quashed my every fear on shipping from Illinois all the way to Utah. His prices are reasonable, he's quick to get all your paperwork lined up and ready to go, and his feather babies- absolutely STUNNING. You can tell he actually works with the babies, too, rather than just saying that he does. (I can attest to this the differences between my "handfed" lovebird who took months to flourish into my absolute and utter BFF VS a baby conure that just needed to chill from the plane ride and was part of our family wanting out the VERY next day! Baby unabashedly jumped out of the cage this morning while I was feeding treats and has been out in small doses wanting to play and be part of the featherless flock- already! ????) If you want a bird- go Birdman. Hands down *thee* best bird shop you'll find!

My family and I went to Birdman's Parrots to get another bird specifically a conure and Eli, the owner of the store was very helpful. We saw a conure that we really liked and Eli was very helpful throughout the process. He told us what we needed to make our birds happy and what diet to give along with toys and cage dimensions. Another plus is that the birds are all disease tested and we are given the documentation of that so there is nothing to worry about. Our family is very happy with our new pineapple green cheek and she is full of excitement in our home as well. Definitely recommend 100%

Eli helped me choose a beautiful Albino Quaker. It's only been a few days since I brought her home and doing great! What an awesome addition to our family.Thank you Eli!
