Steph's Tailwaggers Doggie Spa Naperville, Illinois

I love TailWaggers in Naperville because of the incredible loving care they have given to all of my dogs for more than 18 years! They have always done beautiful grooming for my 2 dogs as well as my family members dogs..A total of 8. 'Aly and Dexter' get so excited to go for their 'Spa Day' every other week. The Groomers and Staff are extremely professional & the shop is charming, calm & exceptionally clean. I cannot say enough good things about this place and I highly recommend Steph's Tail Waggers Spa to everyone. Absolutely top notch!

They do a great job on my 64 lb terrier mix. He looks like a new dog when I get him back. Thanks for doing such a great job!

Update: Steph called and was very apologetic and reassured my mother giving her a free grooming, hopefully the employee who caused all these problems is dealt with. Will update again after his next grooming. A small confusion about an appointment and we can no longer take our dog to Tail Waggers. My mother went out of her way to bring him in for an appointment that we weren't contacted about and were unprepared for, and is then admonished by an employee and told not to come back with no explanation. As if that wasn't enough, when she asks for an explanation about what she did to deserve such treatment, the girl threatened to call the police if she didn't leave immediately.

Always a wonderful experience for my dog and cat nails to be cut, Stephanie & staff are so loving caring! Thank you ❤️

We love Tail Waggers!! The staff is so kind and accommodating. Our little Maltese/King Cavalier mix is very shaky going in for a grooming. She always comes out looking and smelling amazing! Our golden had issues with the hair dryer, Stephanie made sure she took care of him, and his anxieties. I would strongly recommend Tail Waggers for all your grooming needs!!

We took out 2 labs for a brush and bath. They came back very well brushed and smelling great! All of the staff was very friendly and helpful as well!

Not to many places would let you bring your own shampoo. She ( my dog) seems to like it there. No complaints ????

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with the staff. I tell them what I want and they do exactly what I ask. I have to say in my review here nobody’s going to get exactly what they want even though I just said exactly but they’re close enough to what I want and I will give them five stars for their performance.

Brought our puppy in for a bath after a morning romp at a nearby dog park. I called first and they were very accommodating. The staff is great. The service efficient (our pup was washed and dried in 30 minutes). The cost was comparatively low. Highly recommended.

They're staff is friendly, service is good. And they take really good care of your fourlegged buddy. What more could ya want?

I have been bring my two dogs to Steph's for years. They do a fabulous job!

My wife picked up our Poodle today and was told by the owner, Stephanie, that "they raised the price on him because he was so difficult today". We've been taking him there for years and now he's too difficult to cut for the normal price? You can't just raise prices after you perform the services without contacting the customer first. Then instead of getting his normal hair cut that we asked for, they completely shaved him from head to his once puffy tail without asking us. Since Stephanie was being so difficult today...we just won't ever come back!! She could use a class in customer service as they lost a long time customer over this!!

Have taken both of our dogs here and they always come back clean and smelling great! Luckily they will take us on short notice at times! Always call ahead to check availability. They are great!

Brought our dog into a local Naperville business. Staff surprisingly rude. Our dog wasn't washed, dirt between paws, nails barely cut and fur was still matted. We support naperville businesses and not big box stores. This place is close.... but no cigar. I'll take my business to someone I trust. Best of luck!

Wonderful. The best my poodle mix has ever been groomed.

Their shop is incredibly clean and very inviting. It is like going to a professional hair salon only it's for dogs. They did a great job on our dog and he looked adorable. We have a Cavapoo and it was the best looking grooming he ever had. We just made our second appointment.

It's unfortunate that it came to his type of online review, however after what happened yesterday to my 7 year old Shih Tzu I do not recommend for anyone to continue to support this business, or trust leaving your dog there to get groomed SAFELY! A typical drop off at Tail Wagger's ended up a nightmare for my baby, and emotional wreck for myself and others involved when I get a call within the first hour of him being there saying I need to come back to take him to the emergency vet. What angered me the most is instead of Stephanie (the owner who always grooms him) calling with concern and care, and a straight to the point conversation she wanted to be long winded beating around the bush of what the REAL emergency is which led me to be in panic having to be direct asking "DID YOU CUT HIM? IS HE BLEEDING?" to here her answer YES. I drove so fast back to the Tail Waggers being very angry and upset! Instead of Stephanie being a true woman about the situation with compassion and empathy to want to right her wrong, or sincerely apologize she was more concerned about me yelling and being irate. Yes they were proactive on arranging for his medical treatment to be paid, but to me that wasn't the point. The point is I DROPPED MY DOG OFF TO GET GROOMED NOT TO END UP STRESSED OUT PANTING, BLEEDING, AND IN PAIN! I could not stop crying all day yesterday. My dog ended up having to get 10 staples in the inside part of his hear. By the grace of God the doctor said it won't affect his hearing, but my Shih Tzu is the sweetest, and definitely did not deserve to be injured. Not sure why SHARP OBJECTS are being used inside of dog's ears anyways! I told her in argument we won't be back...Stephanie rudely said "Good!" Support this place at your own risk! I hope they get shut down.

I made an appointment for my dogs almost two weeks in advance. When we came in on the day of our appointment, we were told that we had called and cancelled our appointment even though we had not. They apparently did not get the name of the person who did cancel the appointment nor the names of the dogs they were cancelling the appointment for. After we told them several times that we did not call to cancel the appointment, they informed us that they could squeeze us in but that it will take longer for the dogs to get groomed..as if we never had an appointment in the first place! Long story short, they made a mistake and we had to suffer the consequences of it. They even lost one of our leashes in the past and accused us of 'never bringing one in." I do not recommend going to this groomer. They do absolutely nothing to make you feel welcomed.
