County Line Animal Hospital Naperville, Illinois

County Line Animal Hospital is the best Chicago veterinarian throughout the city and surrounding suburbs. Located in South Naperville, no matter where you are in the Chicagoland area it is worth the drive. In fact, I moved to Tampa for three years, Jan. 2018-Oct. 2021, and I flew back specifically to bring my dogs to Dr. Selvaggio, (okay and see my parents, but Dr. Laurel Selvaggio definitely motivated my visits). My family has been taking our MANY dogs to County Line since we moved to Naperville in 1996, I was 11 years old. Now 37 years old, my 26 years loyalty (parents 36 years), regardless of living in the area or across the country, to this Animal Hospital and veterinarian is a testimony to the quality and care they provide. In 2015, I welcomed my first dog, a miniature French Bulldog Pug Mix (frug), Cool Hand Luke. The first year of his life included, pneumonia with fluid in his lungs, FOUR eye surgeries (three for third eyelid, one for corneal damage). Age 29 at the time, finances were difficult. Money aside, I had to face the reality my 4 pound frug puppy would most likely not survive. County Line and Dr. Selvaggio were determined otherwise. They worked with me financially, more importantly they saved my dog! I have no doubt had I treated Cool Hand Luke the frug anywhere else he would not be alive today. I am beyond happy to update he is now going strong at age 7.5 as shown on his Instagram @coolhandlukethefrug. In 2019, while living in Tampa and working 60 hour weeks, I knew Cool Hand Luke needed a friend. Yes, I adopted a dog for my dog, a miniature schnauzer chihuahua mix named Charlie Brown. Not surprisingly, given my history of a rough first year with my first dog, Charlie Brown’s first veterinarian appointment in Tampa revealed he has a heart murmur, in addition to severe anxiety. Charlie Brown was not neutered when I adopted him and after three uncomfortable veterinarian visits in Florida, I knew we had to fly to Chicago for Dr. Selvaggio to safely treat my puppy. Of course, his surgery was performed with no complications and his recovery was better than expected. The trip from Tampa to Chicago was absolutely worth it. In Oct. 2022, I moved back to my hometown, Naperville, Illinois. Truly the best part of living in the Chicagoland area is being where the best vet, Dr. Selvaggio at County Line Animal Hospital, is around the corner, instead of a three hour flight, which again, was still worth the trip. As this now essay conveys, I do not have enough positive words to express my gratitude for Dr. Selvaggio. I recommend her to everyone I know and now to everyone viewing this on Google! We have been with county line for years!!! They are always very friendly and I know they love my dogs! Dr. Parvin is exceptional and you can tell she loves what she does. The women at the front desk are great too!! The techs make my dogs feel so comfortable, even for the dreaded nail trim! I will be bringing my dogs here for years to come!

This is a wonderful animal hospital. The vets are excellent as is the whole staff. They are kind and compassionate, very knowledgeable, attentive to details, and communicate so well with animal parents. Their love of animals shows in the amount of time they spend making sure they take care of your pet’s every need.

I love Dr Sylvaggio. She genuinely cares about my pets and takes the time to explain what I have to do to make sure they're healthy and happy. The front desk can be a bit impatient but they're usually swamped so it's understandable. Sadly they're not as friendly and warm as they used to be but as long as Dr Sylvaggio works here that's all that matters

I was reccomended to go here. I absolutely love it so far for our two kittens. Loving and caring staff and doctors, and very helpful if you ever have a question and just want to call in and ask!

Found a vet that knows her stuff

I love them. I can’t stop saying how awesome they are. They truly care about my dog. They treat him how a pediatrician treats a child. The veterinarians show that they love animals and that they belong to this profession. I have been in another place where one of the vets was so tough with the dogs, that I even me was afraid. So we love county lane animal hospital. They even give my dog a cookie while they vaccine him so he is more relaxed.

I have been coming here for over 20 years. The vets and the staff are great. I have moved a few times since I started coming here. I how live about 40 minutes away but it is worth the drive for the excellent treatment.

Can honestly say I have never been treated as rudely by anyone as I have today. I called this clinic a week ago to set up an appt fpr a spay with my dog and Kitty was telling me all these add ons for the surgery. I explained to her it was all optional and that i will refuse the add ons. Kitty got real snippy with me and then hung up. I chalkes it up to maybe she had a bad day. Then this morning bring my dog in, Kitty doesnt say a word another receptionist is there and she barely sats anything to me. Vet calls to give update, she was nice and I voice my concerns to her she apologized. She should apologize for spmeone elses bad bed sode manner. I just left with my dog and I can say this place all needs to learn bed side manners!!! The tech brings my dog and and i go to pet her and she tells me "well we are about to close so heres your dog." Really...... NEVER in the 15 yrs that i was a vet tech did we EVER treat our clients like this. So 2 strikes your out.... I wont be back and i will not recommend anyone to this clinic. Find some type of compassion people.

The only place we'd take our pet. Smallish practice with an exceptional staff. You won't have to wonder if your pet is getting proper care here. We have moved out of State and we miss them terribly!
