I have volunteered at shelters on and off most of my adult life. This is HANDS DOWN the best shelter I have ever been into. Kay has literally devoted her entire life to the rescue mission and they have a strong track record of finding forever homes. To the one star haters - gotta say, after reading your diatribes you sound more like people that shouldn't really have pets to begin with. A good shelter should never apologize for turning away a potentially bad owner. It's about the animals, not YOU!

The staff was super nice. My cat went in to get fixed at 8 and was ready by 3. They were super friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us a low cost option to the cone of shame and it totally worked.

This is hands down THE BEST vet and clinic we have EVER had experience with! Kay Creese is the most amazing vet. Had it not been for her and her staff, I wouldn't have my baby boy, Uno!

The staff was wonderful with my mom's dogs... they were both getting spayed but had never been on a leash or to a vet and were scared but the staff calmed them and were able to take them right on back - we picked them up this morning and they did great ???? great service great staff and great prices!! Would highly recommend them to anyone!!

Excellent 5 stars + NO KILL animal shelter. The people who run this and work here truly care about and love animals. There is no better place to adopt a dog and/or cat from.

Let me start off by saying I'm going to write my experience off as being tainted because of the COVID-19. Due to the virus we conducted the entire adoption process under a tent outside the door, so it was a little unorthodox to begin with. They brought out our new puppy, I signed the paperwork, they took our picture and away we went. Going through the paperwork on the way home we found that the pup was supposedly being fed twice a day, morning and evening and that there were no other special needs. What we found out the next morning after an emergency trip to our veterinarian was that he is actually 2 weeks younger than we were told, and he was suffering seizures due to low blood sugar because he needed to be fed every 4-6 hours! We almost accidently killed our new puppy because no one informed us of his extra needs! I am glad to report that he recovered from this and is now doing great! I am not mad that we got him from here, nor am I mad that even after making an extra contribution for his adoption and turning around and having to spend another $120 on the vet to get him healthy. What upsets me is the fact WE WERE NOT EVER INFORMED! If adopting from here, please make sure to ask if your new furry friend has any special needs and what their diet currently is and how often and how much they are eating.

This ASPCA facility has an incredible selection of wonderful dogs and we have fallen in love with the one we adopted. And Amy, "whatcha you wanna do" and the other employee, and the incredible volunteers are second to none.

I adopted a cat from them a few months ago, and she had fleas and was treated for a tapeworm. They did not tell me she had fleas, so I was unaware and didn’t treat her. It snowballed into my house needing to get bombed for fleas, and she got another tapeworm from eating an infected flea. I called today for advice on medicine, but they immediately went on the defensive and were acting like I was trying to get free treatment. I wanted to know what kind of worm my cat had because of their negligence. But they more interested in telling me how she couldn’t have had fleas. That they checked her and how bizarre it was. They didn’t want to take any blame. I genuinely feel bad for any animal at their shelter. I’m glad I was able to save her from them.
