They are always so kind and good with our pets.

We bought in our 9 month old kittens who I suspected one was overweight and they thankfully had an opening to see us around the holidays. The vet told us that both were actually overweight and told us how to change their diet to help them lose weight and bring them in a month. A month before we bought both of them in to the vet the shelter recommended for a weight check and we were told they were fine when I had a suspicion one was overweight or very close to being overweight. A monthly weight check is something every clinic should schedule for kittens and they never did mention scheduling monthly weight checks. We took their word and didn’t change their diet. They were booked and that’s how we came here for I was worried about their weight. I can’t express how thankful I am and appreciative for the vet who saw them and helped us make a plan to help them lose weight appropriately. We highly recommend this place.

They took care of my cat for years. They were recommended to me by another customer. The staff and doctor are very caring and never rushed me when I had questions. I love all of them.

My cat is usually very upset by vet visits, but Dr Gill easily calmed her during the initial exam and consultation. Surgery went well, she healed perfectly and she’s been a healthy happy kitty ever since!

Dr. Fill is honest and outstanding bedside manner

Dr. Gill has been our family vet since we moved up here in 2000. He was our 17 year old cat, Rusty's, vet until he passed away. He is now Purdy's, age 13 (who will be 14 May 25th) doctor, since we got him at age 1.5. Dr. Gill LOVES our babies. He is the kindest vet we've ever had. Rusty was 5 years old when we moved here, and Dr. Gill took care of him until he passed. He was a very sick kitty before we rescued him, and he would have lived longer if he hadn't had such a rough start in life. We got him when he was 2. Dr. Gill makes sure that he treats our babies with love and kindness. We couldn't ask for a better doctor.

Always a positive experience; even under the worst circumstances, the thing I remember most is the intelligent skilled professional care given with kindness and compassion by Dr. Gill and his associates.

We always have a wonderful interaction with the entire staff. Dr. Gill and everyone in the office treat the animals so lovingly and have always been willing and able to answer the questions that we have. In our opinion, they have provided excellent care to Blair, our greyhound.

I have had great service with this man, he took the time to listen, and does not upsell unnecessary services each time you're in like the other vet I used to use in Mt.Prospect, if you know who "she" is. ******Update: This vet took Fluffy in for a bad cut during the virus outbreak, This could have ended deadly for my sweat pea, The other vet on route 14 in Mt.Prospect told me they MUST put fluffy to sleep to work on him because he's too wild for them to handle, This vet had no problem with him at all, I will recommend him as long as I'm alive, I cant recommend him enough.

We love Dr Gill and his staff, they are always accommodating and take the time to explain their diagnosis and answer any questions. When I leave the office I have a full understanding of the issue.

Everyone at A Central is just awesome. They love my babies as much as I do!!

Vets try to sell unneeded services

Dr. Gill and the vet techs at A Central North Animal Hospital are WONDERFUL! Booking an appointment is easy and they generally run right on time. The waiting area has chairs and some magazines, though my pupper is usually too nervous to sit down and read the latest issue of "Dog Fancy" Dr Gill is always thorough and takes great care of our dog. He explains everything he's doing and answers any questions we might have. The vet techs are incredibly sweet and caring, and they help soothe my nervous drooly beagle. There are vets located closer to my home, but I'd gladly travel a little farther for the fabulous care that animals receive here. Definitely a place where you can trust they will take phenomenal care of your fur-babies.

We luckily discovered this wonderful vet (Dr. Gill) back in 1999 when my mom's dauschund almost died from a bowel block. Dr. Gill saved his life!! He also gave a beloved dog of mine, Pal, an extra 5 years of life when Pal developed a horrible chest cough: Dr. Gill prescribed medication that pulled Pal through that horrible illness...and when we had to put Pal down, Dr. Gill was there to perform that duty and with the utmost in empathy and love. This man truly has the biggest heart of ANY vet I've ever known. Dr. Gill, thank you for your care and love!

Haley was patient and kind with our baby. The entire staff made us feel like we are family. I highly recommend A Central North Animal Hospitol as a solution to any of your family pet needs.

My dog had a gingival hyperplasia mass that needed to be removed. I called many places and the Dr. actually performs the surgery himself instead of outsourcing to a third party. Dental work is done on Tuesday and Thursday. I dropped my dog off at 8:30am and picked him up at 5:30pm same day. Extremely affordable rate for dental and everything else that goes into a mass removal. It's now over a month later and my dog is doing well. No complications happened, and no new masses on his gums since the procedure. I'd definitely recommend them.

Clean and friendly hospital staff is informative and very comforting to both the owner and the patients. My father was a veterinarian for 60 years and I would recommend this hospital, doctor, and staff highly.

Expensive, had to put my cat to sleep.

I brought my dog belle here and she was very uncomfortable the whole time. She urinated on the floor when he carried her back to the xray room. Given she doesnt like people but when she came back she was gasping for air. And I had to take the muzzle off of her so she could breathe. Fairly priced but not very professional.
