Hands down BEST place! When we took our dog in for emergency they took him in right away no waiting at all. Staff is AMAZING! We had to put our dog down best supporters when going through the process. Will forever be greatful with them! If you are looking for a new place to take you dog in THIS is the place!!

Happy Paws gave me negative results after refusing to give me my results because I got a second opinion and said I was no longer their patient. Correct me if I’m wrong but if you pay for service you should get your results. Thank GOD I went for a second opinion because my kitten was actually positive for FIP. The doctor here said there was no cure and I would be putting her to sleep. We are two weeks out of treatment and my cat is going to live. I am glad people have had great experiences and their pets have been saved but you should not be harassed or treated poorly after giving someone money for their services. These are our fur babies! Attached I provided happy Paws negative results that took 5 days. And my second opinion where she was positive and results took 1 day! Dr Gills sister was calling my place of employment and sending me emails to stop writing reviews. Their family also has their own reviews below. No business can run at 100% and there is always room for improvement. They attacked me on social media and like another vet said..”their response speaks volumes of the type of establishment they are running. Again, thankful you saved some pets but please learn from this and there is treatment for FIP!

My dog had an injured paw, and he came in on his day off to help. He and the staff were so kind and professional. They take time to explain everything. They are truly animal lovers and I'm very happy that they opened here in Lake Zurich.

I adopted a puppy in October 2020 and feel so fortunate to have found Happy Paws. During the last year our puppy has had multiple routine visits including shots, was spayed and I also brought her in as an emergency when she got sick. No matter the time or reason, I have always trusted in the care my puppy has received from Dr. Gill and his staff. Dr. Gill takes the time to explain everything, answer questions and make himself available even when their office is closed. Today we had our annual appointment and my dog continues to happily walk in and loves all the attention she gets during the visit which I feel says a lot too.

Worst place to take your pet. Will charge you an arm and leg. They will withhold information from you if get second opinion. Terrible service.

I’ve been a client since they opened. I have 2 dogs who both have received the best care from Dr. Gil and his staff. I’ve had emergencies with both dogs and one time it was 9:00 pm and I was met at the office by Dr. Gil and our emergency was taken care of. Another time my other dog was extremely sick and dehydrated from vomiting and spent the night at the hospital. I was kept informed from the get go. I’ve enjoyed interacting with the friendly, helpful staff and am so happy we go to Happy Paws.

My first dog saw Dr. Gill at a different location, and I was thrilled when I heard that Dr. Gill opened his own practice. I had been taking my dog to a different vet, and I felt like he wasn't getting the best care. When I came in to see Dr. Gill, he was as great as I remembered. He spent a lot of time with us, explained everything in great detail, was incredibly thorough in his exam, and left us feeling a lot better than when we came in. I'll only be taking my pets here from now on, and recommend others do the same!

Very nice clinic, super clean. Great, professional pet care, would highly recommend taking your fur babies there for their health care. Theo had a great first vet experience.

I can’t say enough great things about Happy Paws. I have had several visits with my Goldendoodle Puppy and each time Dr. Gill and his staff have been amazing to my puppy and me. Dr. Gill came in for an emergency visit at 11pm because he knew I was very worried. He is calm, quick thinking and honest. Best vet experiences Ever!

My husband and I foster for Save A Pet and brought in 4 four week old kittens. One of which was very I'll. This was an emergency situation and Dr. Gill took us immediately. He and his staff were extremely responsive and answered all of our questions as which procedures he was going to take and then the results of the tests. He then prescribed medications for them and our instructions. I have to say this morning the kittens are doing better. Overall this a vet who cares about about both humans and animals. Thank you Dr. Gill and staff!

The best animal hospital and vet in the area! Dr. Gill and his staff truly care about each and every patient and go out of their way to accommodate everyone's needs. The facility is beautiful and modern and the services are impeccable. Dr. Gill is thorough and relatable. He really makes sure pet owners understand everything they need to know and made me feel comfortable as a first time puppy owner. He also makes sure my puppy is comfortable throughout his appointments. High recommend Happy Paws and Dr. Gill!

Dr Gill is a great Vet. Have known him for sometime and he saw our dog for a intestinal problem as an emergency. He took the time to explain Dexters problem and his medical advice. Dexter is back to normal playing with his toys again, which he has not done in awhile and now looking so good. Thank you Dr Gill, I am so grateful.

While I was visiting family in town, my kitten, Henry, became very sick and required immediate medical care. When the vet we usually take our family pets to was too busy, we called Happy Paws and they were able to see us right away! Dr. Gill was able to perform emergency surgery, and Henry was able to stay there for ten days while he continued to heal as I was not available to take care of him. Henry was extremely well taken care of and he was SO sad to leave his new friends at Happy Paws! The staff were incredibly friendly when I would call to check in, and you can tell everyone there loves working with animals. Dr. Gill even came to the vet office when they were closed so I could pick Henry up! They showed me pictures and videos of Henry playing, gave me all the information I needed to continue caring for Henry, and even gave me some of the food they were feeding Henry post-surgery so he could safely transition back to his regular food. I can not thank them enough for all they did to go above and beyond for Henry, I highly recommend taking your pets here!

Have nothing but good things to say about Happy Paws! Went in a week ago with a sick dog & they fixed her right up. My little furbaby is doing great. I would highly recommend this place!

Everyone here is amazing!! Dr. Gill is very caring and compassionate and goes out his way to thoroughly talk and explain to me any questions I have without ever making me feel rushed. The rest of the office staff are are all so friendly.

First time at this Vet. Dr. Gill was great! He wasn’t even open! He just happened to have stopped by with his family, answered phone and told me to come right in. He also said he takes calls after hours for emergencies. Amazing! He takes his time and explains everything. I would recommend Dr. Gill

5 star full service pet hospital, highly recommend Dr. Gill! I recently adopted an adorable cavapoo puppy and have been looking for a reliable, experienced vet to take care of her spay. The entire process was not only easy at this clinic, but we truly felt taken care of. Making the appointment was seamless and convenient as the clinic is open past 5pm. I was a bit anxious as a new dog mom, but Dr. Gill did an amazing job explaining the entire process. He provided clear pre-procedure instructions and even updated me on how my pup was doing throughout the day! The facilities are immaculate with state of the art, brand new equipment. The post procedure holding crates are spacious and in a trafficked area so the pets never feel isolated - which was a huge relief for me because my dog tends to get anxious when she’s alone. The office staff are very friendly and will know how to comfort your pet appropriately after you drop them off. After the procedure, Dr. Gill took the time to sit down with me and explain exactly what to expect throughout the healing process. He explained medication dosing and frequency in detail with specific return precautions. He’s a very experienced vet who knew exactly how much pain meds my pup would need without turning her into a zombie. My pup was completely herself by the end of the day. She slept through the night without any pain and was back to being her cheerful self the very next day. Overall, my pup and I had a wonderful experience at Happy Paws thanks to a staff that goes above and beyond. Your furry friends are in good hands with Dr. Gill!

Dr. Gill and his staff are Amazing!! You can tell they are animal lovers in general! Extremely professional and friendly!! After waking up to my dog's hematoma on his ear popping, I was worried on what to do next or where to go to fix this NOW! Happy Paws was recommended thru a friend and when I called (although they didn't have available appts) I was told to come in right away! Ended up having to get surgery and I could tell the comfort my dog had walking in there for the next 3 weeks for post surgery check ups. Happy Paws is the place to go for your pets!!! Thank you!! Happy Paws Animal Hospital was definitely worth the 5 star review! Dr. Gill was so kind and patient with my two dogs even though they were a bit on the crazier side. Both of my dogs have a bit of anxiety when going to the vet, but Dr. Gill did a great job of calming them down. I would definitely recommend going here to any of my family and friends and was very happy with how my dogs were treated.
