My family LOVES this animal shelter! We have adopted 3 dogs from them ove the past 3 years! We've referred other members of our extended family to this shelter and they have taken dogs home, too! The staff is very friendly AND very knowledgeable about their "residents." Please check them out and give one of the dogs or cats their Forever Home!!

WOW!!! From the get go! We called and left a message, got a call back very quickly. The person doing calls back is so amazing to speak with. She is beyond helpful and you can tell she really cares about pairing the people with the right animal. She is very courteous and incredibly helpful! She sets a great example of how the rest of the process is going to go. I wish she was there the day we adopted so we could thank her! Showing up at the facility-to getting in the door, you can tell that these people care about animals! The staff is really great to deal with. Everyone is helpful, kind and attentive to not only the needs of the animals, but the needs and wants of the family. You can visit with your new best friend inside or out (weather permitting). Tabitha helped us with our adoption. I cannot say enough good things about her and the work she does there. She went far beyond our expectations, telling us everything she knew about the dogs history and what the dogs behavior was like once she got to know us. Tabitha was exactly right about how sweet of a dog we now have thanks to her. Our sweet pitty fits perfectly with our pack. Thanks again to everyone at Animal House!! 10/10 would adopt from again!!!

I adopted my sweet baby boy in March of 2016. I was told he was between 1-1.5 years old. May of 2020 he was diagnosed with feline diabetes. He was laid to rest last night, due to liver cancer. I have seen 3 different vets since having him, and they all have said he was between 10-13 years old. That would have made him 6-7 when we adopted him. Don't adopt from here. They just want to get rid of the animals and will lie about their ages to do so.

Our newest member of the family is from there, the puppy came with all chip, shots and spay and or neuter surgery covered no kill kennel is always a plus.

Sadly I did not adopt from here, yet I did sighn up for volunteering! All I can say is every single animal in there was absolutely adorable and most friendly. I definitely recommend adopting from here to! Super nice staff and a lot of cute choices. With that as a side note, maybe volunteer? They always need a helping hand! I definitely recommend this place!

I adopted my pooch here about two years ago, and since then she has become the apple of my eye! She adjusted really well to her forever home and decided she likes to run, squeaky toys and a midnight milk bone before bed. The staff here was really excellent and accommodating, the review of my application and adoption process was quick and professional as well as my dogs surgery. I've recommended this shelter to anyone that has asked!

We have adopted 2 dogs from here and have had outstanding experiences both times. The staff is very helpful in giving suggestions about what pet would be a good fit. You get the sense that they really get to know each of the pets there! The facility is also kept very clean.

We picked up our 12wk old kitten from this wonderful little shelter. The staff was helpful and we're so grateful we got a kitten from a loving place. Thank you all!

I asked about a few dogs and you failed to disclose their thousands of dollar ailments down the road. If we could afford it we would, they talked us into a dingo who— is our light. I’m still upset over them promising certain dogs were certain ways when you cannot afford it.

This is an extremely good shelter. There are many dogs and cats but they have the space, it's clean, it's orderly, it does NOT smell, it's routinely maintained and appropriately staffed by knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely good people. They treat you well and treat the animals well.

This is the best shelter we make donations all the time and our dog is the sweetest thing. The staff are very friendly and enforced their system. They helped us choose which dog would be a perfect fit and they told us what we needed to hear. Definitely recommend

I adopted the BEST cat ever here! I am so in love with my Ollie. Unfortunately, he had a pretty bad kennel cold that he was sent home with. Thankfully I was going to take him to the vet for a general visit anyway. The vet had to give him an antibiotic shot. I am so incredibly grateful for them saving my baby and keeping him comfortable for the month before I adopted him! Thank you AHS!

We've adopted pets from here in the past and our experience has always been wonderful with staff and our pets. We recently adopted a new 1yr old husky mix, and we are going to have to surrender him back. He is a great dog, just not meant to be around other kids. The shelter has been amazing helping us navigate through this and making sure our family is doing alright through the process. I can't say enough good things about all the staff, but especially Michelle today, calling to ensure we had an appointment for this weekend to take care of things. If you're looking for a pet, this shelter goes the extra mile, not only for the pets, but also for the humans & families involved as well. Can't say enough great things!

Please make sure before you adopt from this shelter your dog or puppy has been tested negative for heart worms. We adopted a 8 month old puppy from Animal House Shelter that tested positive for heart worms.

We adopted Princess (now Sasha) last week and we love her! The application and check out process were all online and Taylor was a great help! She knew all about Princess and answered any questions we had. The shelter also looked clean and well-kept.

We adopted our sweet dog Darcy Louise (formerly Karlyle) from AHS about a week ago! The staff was so helpful and friendly and are clearly passionate about caring for the animals there waiting for families. We're so grateful!
