Dr. Olsen was wonderful to work with. He got my dog in right away, diagnosed her problem, and the tooth extraction surgery went well! He personally spoke with me on the phone a few times to discuss her prognosis and was very reassuring. I so appreciate this clinic for treating my pet!

I have been taking my cats here for 5 years now and will never go anywhere else. They are caring friendly and very professional. I had my two girl kittens spayed yesterday and the stitches are clean neatly done. My kitties are happy and recovering well thanks to the staff at Olsen veterinary clinic.

My pup had a likely to be harmful breast tumor growing, leading to taking her in to be evaluated. As it turned out it was cancerous and I was very thankful that she could be seen very quickly (within a week of her being seen the first time) to have the mass removed. The staff have all been very friendly and super accommodating- she can be dog reactive and they've let me into a private room, etc so she isn't being a pain in reception. She loved the staff and post op I was incredibly surprised to find her hanging out behind the desk with the receptionists watching her. Great staff and great service!

They were able to get me in quickly when my previous vet could/would not. Dr. Olsen listened to my dogs history and made good suggestions to help work through his issues.

Dr Olsen has helped me a lot with my cat who has a lot of stomach problems and cannot gain weight easily. She is doing much better.

They were able to get my cat in the same day I called because of an infected leg. This was my first time there and I didn’t expect to be seen the same day but was happy that they could. I will definitely be using them for my vet.

They are fast and efficient here so my dog doesn’t get freaked out when he is here. Dr. Olsen recommended a dog food to help my dog take off some weight too so now he is much more agile.

I don’t usually write reviews. This visit thoroughly annoyed me so I figured I’d say something. I was scheduled for an 1140 visit on Saturday. Turns out they close at 12 so the rest of my visit now makes sense. I had to wait until about 1158 before I was even talked to. At which point we weighed my cat and proceeded to the back for his yearly. I was out of the room by 1205 after a short eye dye was administered. He didn’t look over my cat almost at all, administered two shots and told me I’d get an ointment for his eye as I mentioned it seeming puffy and irritated. I have no idea why his eye might be agitated, I have no clue the details of this medication other than it’s steroidal and I was charged $137 for a visit I had to wait 20 minutes to have which amounted to a 2 minute look over and 3 minute eye dye. It’s clear to me I was the last patient of the day and transparently, it really didn’t seem like anyone cared about my or my cat’s experience, they wanted to get done. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s the dirtiest vet office I’d ever been in. It’s not disgusting, but compared to other vets in the area? It’s filthy and shows a lack of care. I honestly regret staying as I considered walking out after the first 10-15 minutes of silent waiting and observation. I sure hope there is nothing medically going on with my cat because if there was, I’d have no way of knowing after this visit. UPDATE: Turns out there was something medically happening with my 5 year old cat. He was dealing with some blockage in his urinary tract and had been showing signs for months. A more thorough evaluation could have potentially saved me a few thousand dollars from the emergency vet clinic in collinsville and more importantly, could have saved my cat a lot of pain and suffering.

Dr. Olsen and his staff show their love of animals to each and every patient. He has performed miracles in saving my pets. Dr. Olsen is a wonderful and talented doctor. Thank you!

Excellent! My little 6 pound pup broke her broke her leg in a complicated location and Dr. Olsen and staff went above and beyond to help. Got her in that very day and took excellent care of her and us at a reasonable price. Thank You!

I took my 2 month old pup in for a de wormer and Dr. Olsen did a fantastic job! He checked my pup out to make sure she is healthy and administered the shots she needed quickly. He then thoroughly explained the de wormer, flea medicine and heart worm medicine and how they worked. He also made sure to have follow up appointments setup for my pup. We will definitely continue to use Dr. Olsen as our pets vet.

We had an emergency with our dog and they got us in early than our scheduled time and was not unnecessarily over charged for an emergency visit unlike other vet in the area.

Our first visit to Olsen Vet. Clinic was great. Nice, kind staff. Dr. Olsen took his time examining my dog, gave options for further care. He explained procedures well. Check out was quick, easy; making appointment for surgery was quick.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful! Will be returning here in the future!

IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STAR REVIEWS I WOULD!! UPDATE: I have called this office MULTIPLE times to address my situation and my concerns because since these surgeries resulted in 4 trips to another Veterinarian INCLUDING the emergency room Vet! When I called last week I actually spoke with the doctor who did the surgeries, he advised me he would look into the situation and call me back, of course he never did. The office manager has dodged my phone calls and refuses to let me speak to the doctor now or the doctor refuses to get on the phone whichever and I was hung up on and told " I am so done dealing with you" when I POLITELY asked for a phone call back from the doctor. I NOT ONCE got rude nor had an attitude when speaking with these people even though I have had several reasons I should have! They simply do not care about animals and are just in it for the money! We will be hiring a lawyer and taking this further. We will not let our animals who are family be treated this way!! POOR MANAGEMENT FOR SURE! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE! Since my review was deleted, I would NOT recommend this business to ANYONE! We got our 2 dogs spayed/neutered here and it was the most horrific experience for our dogs. I always felt rushed to get off the phone when calling with questions regarding surgery because I was not given ANY information except drop off time when scheduling. When dropping off I was also not given any information and felt like the questions I was asking were an inconvenience to the staff working the front desk. When asking for a call after surgery to let me know how things went I was given a "I'll be too busy to call just pick up anytime after 3." Very rude and short with me. I was charged $75 more for my female dog being in heat even though I called several days before to make sure it was okay and even asked if it would cost extra and I was told it was okay and it would not cost any extra. We do not mind paying but being told one thing and another being done is not okay. Upon picking my dogs up they were standing behind the counter, my female dog had dried blood on both of her sides. I was told the amount I owed and nothing else. No results of any testing done, no discharge instructions, didn't tell us about getting the stiches out, NOTHING! When I was asking questions again it felt like I was being rushed and got a little attitude with my answers. He simply just handed me the leashes and sent me on my way. I did realize that one of my leashes was chewed on like they had left it with my dog and were not watching her while she was waking up. I had also called 2 days before to ask if they had a cone for the dogs I could purchase to take home with us after surgery to prevent licking/chewing and I was told yes I could purchase them there. When picking up my dogs I asked to purchase cones, I was told "We don't have them in that size for your dogs. We are out and I guess I should probably order more." Therefore I had to stop on my way home at the pet store to purchase some while leaving my dogs unsupervised in the car! How inconvenient! I called the following day inquiring about medication for both of my dogs for pain because they were both still crying in pain. I was told "The doctor is not in today, if they are still in pain come Monday (3 days after surgery) call back then." We will not visit this establishment ever again! Will be contacting the BBB and looking into this further because they just delete my reviews (did not even try to contact me at all to discuss things) when I am trying to save someone else the heartache and trouble of having their pets and themselves treated so unkindly.

I have several dogs and cats and had been using another vet in Edwardsville. It was costing a lot and my pets were not receiving the treatment that I felt they should. I transferred my pets to Dr. Olsen and he has been outstanding. He assessed my pets and made changes to their diets and meds. They are all healthy now and any time I have a question about any of them, I can call and he provides advice or an appointment. I would not trust my pets to anyone else.

Love Dr. Olsen and staff! We make a 40 min drive to go to Olsen veterinary!

I recently transferred my pitbull to Dr. Olsen after being seen by another vet in the area and not getting the help I needed. I was so thankful for his expertise! He not only took the time to listen to my concerns but decided to take small steps in our process of treating my dogs stomach issues. I also enjoy that his office isn’t insane and busy. It’s nice to not have to corral your dog around TONS of people and dogs going in and out. Definitely give Dr. Olsen a chance!

We took our little boy DJ to see Dr. Olsen a few weeks back and he was diagnosed with a UTI. We took him back and he had some other issues and they kept him over the weekend and took good care of DJ. We will be back again.

My cat had been in and out of the local hospitals for an undiagnosed stomach issue. Instead of only treating the symptoms, Dr. Olsen and his staff took the time to dig further into each symptom and systematically figure out the root cause/s. We really appreciate his time, attention, and care that he and his staff provide for our cat!

Dr.Olsen has always been an excellent vet. Have always had a good experience whenever I have had my animals treated there. He always works with you to provide your animals with good care. I highly recommend him..

All 3 people working at this clinic, including the veterinarian, were maskless (same as I read in another review). We are in a pandemic, and this really showed me how little they care about the safety of their clients and also showed a lack of professionalism in my opinion. The vet assessed my cat just fine, and then prescribed meds with zero instruction on how to use them. I had to ask just to get any information. The other two people working there were friendly enough, but also lacked professionalism. I had to remind them that I needed to go home with antibiotics, and then they almost sent me home with only half of the antibiotics my cat was prescribed (thankfully I checked the bottle before I left and was able to go back in a request more). Those minor details could have been dust under the rug, but the fact nobody wore masks really pushed me over the edge. I will not be returning to this clinic. A week later, I am updating my review from two stars to one. (A tiny bit of background- the antibiotic I was given is one that has to be reconstituted. I have to add water to the powder and mix it up. It also needs to be stored in the fridge to stay fresh. Dr. Olsen told me that the antibiotic only stays good for 10 days after you reconstitute it.) I'm giving this update because I opened the second box of antibiotics (after 7 days) and it had already been reconstituted. I did not do this myself, which made me wonder, How long ago was it reconstituted? Was the right amount of water put in? Has it expired by now? Was it stored properly before it was sold to me? Why was I given a med that had already been opened and possibly used? So I called Dr. Olsen, figuring that he would offer to get me a new box for free, as there's no way to know if the med had expired at that point. I got no apology, no offer to compensate me with a fresh dose. All I got was a "It's fine." That is literally all he said. No, its not fine, I should have gotten an new box for free, or a refund so that I can buy a new one. Now I have no idea if the med I'm giving my cat is actually helping him at all. As I said above, I will never be returning here.
