I just had a horrible horrible experience with this facility. The staff was very rude unprofessional and not even willing to take care of a long term customer. Time to find my pups a new groomer! Seems a bit predjuice! As a response I am actually a nurse practitioner and we do take care of all of our customers. And to correct you my appointment was at 11:30 and I arrived at 11:48 due to being stuck by a train in which I didn’t think it was a problem because I usually drop my dogs off within that time frame. Again your staff was rude and unprofessional and I’m going to post my review because it was utterly unprofessional behavior. Again I was very respectful while you and your staffed frowned the entire time. PS Smiling goes along way!

Our pup is scared of his own shadow but loves grooming sessions. The salon goes above & beyond to keep the pups happy. He’s been going since he was a (giant) baby and always comes home looking dapper and smelling good. Thanks HOTD!!

They are super friendly and have done a great job with our Bernedoodle every time we've taken her. She always comes out happy and is always excited to go back. Make your appointment early...they get booked up, but they make everything so convenient and easy.

Very professional. They are still in covid mode with the front door locked however as soon as we pulled up the attendant, Sammy, came out to get our dogs and to find out exactly how we wanted them groomed. As soon as they were done with both of our dogs we got a text message to come pick the dogs up. same procedure on the way out We pulled up and they brought our dogs out. I would definitely recommend Hair of the dog if you are looking for an alternate groomer in the Frankfort, New Lenox, Green Garden, Manhattan ,Monee area

Hair of the Dog grooming is great. The staff is so friendly and caring. My little old miniature pincher is the nervous sort but she does very well with the staff. They are patient and kind and I appreciate them.

I don’t know how long I have been taking my dogs to HOTD. But, in my experience the staff is fantastic! I have a yorkiepoo who at times let’s just say can be quite Feisty. The yorkie side is the sweetest but, when the poodle comes out look out he can be grouchy! The staff does a Phenomenal job grooming him. He is so happy I pick him up!!! I highly recommend Hair of the Dog for all your grooming needs!!!

We have taken our Aussie to multiple different groomers and this place by far has been the best one yet. They are very thorough and friendly. Great quality for a great price. You will not regret coming here.

Taken my dog, Penny, to get her nails done here twice. Price is perfect and they do a great job. So happy to have them in the neighborhood!

Been taking my minnie there for her last three cuts, our last groomer went crazy, another story, but they are good, fast and cheap for my dog. Visit them at thier new digs.

Was able to get a cut within a week of calling. They had our dog in on time and completed within 2 hrs. Great service and one of the best cuts Bodhi has had. We will be returning!

All of the girls here are SO gentle with the dogs and they're all very sweet! I would recommend this place to any dog owner!

We have been going to Rhi at “Hair of the Dog” for years. My parents take their dog there as well. She did a phenomenal job with our Wheaton, who did not like to be groomed, and has done a fantastic job with our Bernedoodle puppy. We picked him up this afternoon, and he was a whole new dog! Gorgeous! The staff are kind, and attentive, listening to what we’d like to have done. Their pricing is competitive and reasonable. They are moving to a new space soon, and I can’t wait to see it! We definitely recommend going to “Hair of the Dog”! I’m just sorry it took me so long to post a review! (Before and after pics)

We had our two Bassets, Zoey and Dottie, in for a bath and nail trims for the first time at Hair of The Dog, and we were thrilled with the job that was done on both!! We’ve found our new groomer!!!

If I could this place ZERO stars I would. I brought my dogs here for the 1st time. I picked them up when they called. I noticed when driving home my Maltese’s eye was red, tearing up and he could barely open it. I pulled over and called this place right away and asked if anything had happened because I didn’t drop him off looking this way. They informed me nothing happened, they maybe suggested hair in his eye. As I got home. It had gotten worse. I ended taking him to vet. They confirmed no hair in the eyes that something traumatic must have happened for his pupil to be looking the way it did. After my vet bill and the haircut bill, I called Hair of the Dog, the next day to explain that I ended up having to take my dog to the vet. I was told by the groomer in charge that had to wait for the owner to come back from vacation. I asked for either my vet bill to be paid or for them not to cash my check. Neither was done, nor was a call from the owner after calling twice. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!! Be careful who you leave your pets with with. It was disheartening to see my pup like this. Luckily after a couple days of medication and eye drops he is better. I still have yet to hear back from this place.

Best groomer ever! Bailey and Scarlett love Rhi and she is especially sensitive to Bailey, who is very shy. They both liked hanging out in the grooming room, instead of a hot drying cage as many other grooming salons provide! ????????????

We took our Lhasa Apso for her first haircut. They were very friendly and gentle with her. We live in Florida and had her hair cut there and didn't like it. We are back in Illinois and she will getting her hair cut here for the holidays. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who loves their dogs

I love Hair if the Dog for their quick walk in nail trim services. Clipped, filed and paw hair trimmed in minutes!

I love Hair of the dog! I have taken my to dogs (Gizmo & Gabby) to other places in the area and have not been happy with their cuts. Also one of the facilities had cut my Gabbys eye lid. I have never been disappointed with Hair of the Dog and highly recommend them.

I have been taking my two dogs to Hair of the Dog for several years. They do a wonderful job in a timely manner. Sarah takes very good care of my dogs and I am often told how good they look after grooming. One of our dogs has anxiety and occasional seizures, and I know he will be totally fine at the Hair of the Dog. I highly recommend them!

This shop is one of the best. They are good with my wheaten terrier mix, have always gave him a nice cut . The staff is great and the prices are fair. Will continue to bring my " Bowie " there!

Do not cage dogs. If one is misbehaving, there is a time out room. Very good with my 2 OES
