Dr Gormley has no compassion for animals or his clients. When I had questions, I couldn’t get him to stay in the room longer than just a few seconds(literally.) I had to get a few prescriptions for my dog and I would always call to give them a heads up so that it was ready when I got there. However, when I arrived a few hours later, nobody knew anything about it and my prescriptions weren’t ready. This happened several times. Nobody at the front desk has any compassion for animals or any customer service skills. Everyone in the office was very unprofessional. Lastly, I know it is a vets office but the place reeked and was absolutely disgusting every time. I would not recommend Dr Gormley or any of his staff & only gave a 1 star because 0 stars wasn’t an option.

Had an emergency situation was a pigeon I found downtown after calling six places for help I was recommended to this place. My nieces and I took the bird out there right away and they were so loving and kind and took the burden and nurtured it back to him and set it free. I would recommend them to anyone there the most kind and loving I have ever seen

On my first visit to Highland, it was an emergency that sadly did not end the way we hoped. The staff was kind, and the tech who worked with us was very understanding. The doctor was very gentle in my pet's final moments.

I would like to give a good review of Highland Vet Clinic, as the reason I chose them was because of the decent reviews I had read. Unfortunately, my experience was mostly negative. Dr. Gormley has no bedside manner. He hardly said anything to me or my pet when he was being examined. The technicians, however, were very friendly and helped answer my questions. Still, I have a hard time going to a vet that doesn't seem to care about my animal. When I had to place a follow up call to ask a question I was repeatedly put on hold as soon as phone was answered. There was NO way to leave a voicemail to be called back. There either needs to be a way to leave voicemail or more front office staff that can actually answer phone calls. We had a minor surgery done. The communication post op was not the greatest. The male technician bringing me my pet did not know what to tell me about dressing change instructions- he had to go back in and ask. He first told me it was the IV site when it was the surgical site. We were not told we should use a halo collar on our pet and were not given one, so the dressing was removed by my pet anytime I had to leave him alone. Once we got a halo collar (on our own), it was still too small and we were having issues with my pet removing it. I called to see if I could get a larger collar and they had none (said they were backordered). I ended up ordering a larger one myself. The wound sutures from day 1 did not fully close the wound. I ended up having to do twice daily dressing changes on my pet because of this wound draining. The wound got infected and I was very concerned. I called to try to make an appointment and was told to send pictures. I did and never heard back that day despite calling again..they only said it was on the communication board and would give me a call back as soon as possible. Finally the next morning after a third call I was told it was never put on their communication board by the first person. That technician was very helpful and we eventually got an antibiotic but by that time the communication had been so poorly lacking I was getting frustrated. In the end, I decided for the well being of my pet we could not continue going to Highland Vet. Aside from a few helpful technicians, I did not have a good experience and would not recommend this vet for care.

After calling multiple places and being turned away when needing to get in urgently, Highland Vet Clinic said to go ahead and come even though they were closing within the next hour with booked appointments. So thankful for helping my Bruno!

They're wonderful! They did so great with my Pitty! They actually care about your animals. Love them, my two dogs are my fur babies-children. I really have faith that my babies are going to live even healthier, longer lives with their caring and wonderful staff. I'd give them ten out of 5 stars if I could and they haven't met my smaller Jack Russell-Chihuahua Mix yet. Many Blessings and lots of Prayers for these awesome people, everyone in the Veterinarian office. ❤????????????

My cat was very sick no one could get him in. I had lost all hope and the staff at highland took my baby in and got him in had him for a couple of days, got him fixed up and saved his life. Thanks so much to the staff and the Doctor's and assistants. Very professional will take and recommend this vet department to anyone that is look for great care at a fair price that didn't break the bank.

Boarded my strictly indoor cat with them for 3 weeks. They had previously seen him for UTI and treated with antibiotics. Return from vacation and find they had given him a second dose of the antibiotic after urinalysis, but neglected to even bother and call me and let me know. I understand if it was needed, but let me know. What REALLY set me off was when we came home, my cat hid for two days. Not terribly unexpected, as he doesn't like changes, but when we noticed he kept scratching and biting himself, we checked closer and found he was covered in fleas! The next morning I called and the technician who answered was appalled and even said that they carry flea medication there, but that she felt I shouldn't have to pay for it as he got them there. She told me she would have the office manager call me as soon as she got in at 11. I went to town to run errands and when I hadn't heard back by 1 pm I bought the meds myself, and went to their clinic to speak to them face to face. The icing on the cake was when the older woman I spoke to INSISTED he didn't get them there, that they had somehow been dormant in our house and within the three days he was home, he got covered with fleas that wouldn't have even had a food source for nearly a month. Even my children know that if you screw up, you should own up, and yet these "medical professionals" lacked that fundamental understanding. So much for do no harm. I could have left him outside for three weeks with the same results and saved $500!

No clear explanation of pricing. Went in with our two pups thinking it would be about $350 based on what they told us on the phone when making the appointments. They wouldn't even allow us in the building to talk directly to the vet about our concerns. When they brought the dogs back to us, they then told us the total was $744!!!

We used to take all of our pets here until we moved. They really seem to care about the animals and go the extra mile to take care of them. I would highly recommend them.

I would not recommend this vet. Didn't do an exam on my dog even though they charged me. I understand you have to charge an exam when getting a rabies vaccine but at least do one.

Had our third issue with my 9 month old kitten’s spay incision. Highland was able to resolve the issue after our last vet struggled. They were predictable, reliable, and efficient. They got her in the day after I called and their communication was great. They will be our vet as long as we live in Evansville. Affordable as well. No complaints here!

Staff was very friendly and very open to answering our questions. They were very empathetic to the situation and treated our pet gently with love. They offered suggestions and were very knowledgeable medically showing us how to perform treatment to his wounds.

I take all my pets here for care. They do a great job and are very efficient. I also like that you know the cost up front before you proceed with a treatment plan
